Love this place. The food is good quality and they appear to make most of it on site. Not shipped in frozen. Sometimes it can get rather busy but they move through the orders quickly.

Prices were reasonable and the food was excellent (had the coffee, sourdough flatbread toasted sandwiches and samosas) - went back the following day as really enjoyed the food on the first visit.

Yummy heated up flatbreads and selection of delicious cakes and cookies. Busy day but still managed to find a seat. Located in the covered market.

Wandered around the Covered market and decided on a quick snack lunch at Taylor’s. Fantastic choice of hot soups, cold or toasted sandwiches and good coffees. Low key but great quality and tasting food

Abysmal portion sizes. Paid £7.75 for their Red Thai chicken curry bowl but when I opened it up there was not a single piece of chicken inside. The curry itself quite literally contained a single cube of carrot. The portion sizes of the other components - edamame, rice, and peppers - were very small too.

£7 for a sausage bacon and egg sandwich, on the menu it's the taylors big breakfast bap we'll I can tell you there is nothing big about it other than the price. 1x sausage, 2x bacon and 1x egg and half a mushroom. Absolute joke! And £2.10 for a bottle of water, unless you like small portions and big prices stay away. They should be ashamed

Very, very good sandwiches. My son and I were not in Oxford until late afternoon, but they still had lots of choice. It was very quiet at that time, but that meant we were served quickly. We both had sourdough toasties - really good.

Amazing food and good value for money. It was nice to see the food on display before it is cooked, so we knew what to expect. It's a pity TripAdvisor has the wrong photo up, the tilled shop is Taylors in the Covered Market. I think Taylors have 6 to 8 cafes around Oxford.

Great food, nice and frece. The staff members are very polite and nice. Everything the make there is tasty.

I used to rave to people about what a good idea it was that Taylors premixed the salads as you ordered, so that the dressing and ingredients were all nicely combined. The new method of piling things into a container is disappointing and the portion was not as big as before, but the same price. Plus, additional plastic waste from the little dressing container.

Food was lovely and high quality, when we arrived it was fairly quiet when we arrived so our sandwiches were heated and given to us bey quickly. Highly recommend for lunch, would definitely go again when in Oxford

Food was okay. My time there was made especially good by the worker I was served by. I believe her name was Phoebe K. She was exceptionally polite and accommodating. Very chatty and chipper. If she’s there then I shall be returning! She had a big smile on her face and I felt extremely comfortable conversing with her. Lovely lovely girl.

service varies from good to horrid. just ordered my food from here, order was completely wrong. wrong pasta, wrong ingredients. don't get me wrong most days it's fine.

Vegetable samosas are quite good, but small for the price of £3.50 I remember you could buy them in Nepal for 1 rupee, in 1993, about 1p.

Been eating in Browns for 40 years. I went with 2 friends for a quiet birthday lunch. We were put on a table between 2 tables of women also out to celebrate a birthday but rather noisier than us. Every time the waitress asked if everything was o.k. one of us said "No, we can't hear ourselves think". Then the women from one table went and sat with the other table... they didn't know each other. By this time we'd given up trying to chat. I went back a few days later to discuss what had happened but the same maitre d' said they couldn't do anything about the customers' behaviour. I said that they could have moved us. The restaurant hadn't been full. The food was great. Feel rather sad about it as we'd been there many times and always enjoyed it.

Pricey for what it offers. The quantity of sauce on the pasta is insignificant. Same goes for the sandwich fillings.

Lovely sausage bap with hot drink on a really cold morning for less than a fiver great stuff all round.

Wonderful place, I go there literally every day since november, best latte and sandwiches (especially the chicken and pesto one, my fav!!) nice staff, warm and peaceful atmosphere!!!!

A very warm welcome, so helpful. Flatbreads are crispy and delicious well worth stopping off while in the market. Our waitress was desperately trying to persuade us to have one of the delicious looking cakes but that’s for this afternoon’s coffee stop.😃

Only customers in the shop but couldn’t get attention. Six staff members behind the counter, doing various things that didn’t include customer service. Eventually, got directed to one serving point only to be sent to another, and then back again. Gave up and left.

Absolutely amazing, pasta was cooked to perfection, staff were extremely polite and helpful, this is my new favourite place to eat! Can not recommend this place enough, if you havent tried before - you need to! :)

Such a lovely place for a bite to eat. The staff are very friendly and cheerful. Best place for lunch in Oxford we will definitely return.

We each had a decaf Americano with hot milk; and each had a bowl of tomato basil soup. The coffee was very good. The soup was nice, but they should include a piece of bread with it, or crackers I suppose. It was okay, I've had better, but I've certainly had worse--at other places, that is.

Coconut curry was fantastic. Not too hot but tasty.

Taylor's sandwiches are the best in Oxford, IMO.

Seating takes a while on weekends. Had the basil pesto and sundried tomato pasta. Rightly prices, good quality and taste. The dark chocolate rocky road was vvv good.

Provato soltanto una specie di focaccia pizza ripiena con spinaci pomodorini olive e mozzarella improbabile. Decisamente scarsa negli ingredienti e nella preparazione. Non consigliato. Forse meglio: pasta, zuppe, insalate? Sono variamente componibili. Da provare, forse. Caffè illy buono.

Great choice of sandwiches and flatbread for a decent city price, other good range of hot food and cakes too.

Terrible staff (did they care? did they hate working there?) and very watered down coffee. Have had much better service at other locations so don't want to give 1-star for the brand based on a single experience. Both the Americano and decaf options were weak. Very much a chain re: quality and experience.

Only 3 starts today as my panini was burnt this morning and staff didn't pay attention what they were doing this morning. Sorry guys

Went in for a coffee after finding Browns restaurant very off with their customer service, which put me off staying. Friendly service. Great coffee.

Been coming to Taylors for a while as they have a good selection of food and their coffee is pretty decent. However, I have very rarely felt welcome there and the staff seem to treat customers as more of an annoyance than anything else. The tables are also fairly dirty and they don't even give you paper napkins to clean your hands with after the u eat. Could be a nice place if they would welcome the customers and do more to ensure that customers feel valued. I think they currently rely on their location for their business but if a more welcoming place opened up nearby they could well find themselves losing their repeat customers.

Visitamos Taylors el sábado por la tarde para el almuerzo. Gran selección disponible, desde ensaladas, pastas, sandwiches y tartas. Interior agradable y espacioso, pero el servicio al cliente en todos los mostradores era helado. No estaba tan ocupado por el despido que enfrenté en algunas de las consultas que tuve. Un montón de mesas apiladas con platos sucios y tazas también. Es una pena, ya que la comida era deliciosa.

Although the food is good and there is always a lot of variety, it is undoubtedly expensive - going to Taylors will certainly set you back. However, it is perfectly pleasant (although I would like to see some more seating available).
