Bodrums in Oxford

I think it’s pretty safe to say Bodrums is my family favourite place eat out for a takeaway in Oxford the food portions are so generous and if you decide to eat in they give you unlimited hot Turkish bread. Some of my recommended dishes are the chicken grill with rice,the kofte kebab,mixed grill, lamb chops and iskendar. Top notch Turkish food! 👌

I ordered small lamb kebab and large chicken kebab. I recieved plate with chicken and lamb and my gf too. He said he want to make it nice for us. Later they charge us for two large portions. The owner is sneaky and always trying to.overprice. he said he made it bigger fo us but he still gave us small lamb kebab and large chicken kebab he just mixed it

No quality what so ever. Look at the foods they serve to their customers.

Overall, for me, it's the food that tastes spot-on and has reasonable prices compared to other restaurants on that road. If you want that local, traditional feel in your food, you've got it all in one place. Yes, the décor is not updated, and the service isn't like your normal restaurant, but these people work super long hours to serve you up good, tasty dishes. For me, I love this place because it has that busy, bustling feel to it. The chicken shish, marinated and served with rice, salad, bread, and their special warm sauce for dipping, is delicious.

The service was a bit slow, and the language barrier with the waiter made communication challenging. Additionally, the restaurant's decor could use some updating. However, the food was outstanding—authentic Turkish flavors with generous portions. It was a truly enjoyable experience. Despite the minor issues, I highly recommend this place for its fantastic cuisine.

Disgusting food, and miserable service from the miserable women serving. Poor, miserable attitude from her. Said the AC wasn’t working - 20 mins later her boss turns the AC on. The lamb shish tasted undercooked and revolting. Disgusting little shop.

The Bodrums Mixed kebab was very tasty and had that charcoal flavour. Lahmacun was very tender and cooked perfectly. The staff are friendly and the atmosphere was ok.

Pretty good kebab. Nice food with good price. The service is also friendly. A bit confused as I saw some negative comments and my experience is totally good. The environment needs a bit improvement but still quite good.

Surprised at seeing all the bad reviews. I dined in and had a lovely welcoming waitress. I only ordered soup and falafel and I have to say it's the best falafel I've ever tasted. Accompanying sauces and salads were delicious. Soup was definitely above par what I've had in other Turkish restaurants. I will definitely be coming again.

Premade chips served in take away box even if mentioned "eat in" . For some reason staff choose who deserved good service who doesn't. Some ppl eat with proper cutlery while I had to use wooden one. We also didn't recive complimentary bread. When asked for it we was changed. I add picture of chips only as they looked the worst. Soggy watery and undercooked

I recently dined at this restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. The food was outstanding, with rich, authentic flavors in every dish. Despite being a bit pricey, this restaurant is a gem for anyone seeking excellent Turkish cuisine. Highly recommended!

Long story short!!! Just go the one to the right called 'Anterp’! Guaranteed good food! Fabulous experience at this fabulous place, walking into this place with high expectations which is later proven to be the stupidest idea ever. Led to an uncleaned table with rice sitting on it, we asked the waiter to clean it, my man is so well trained that he wiped the rice right onto my chair. 40 minutes after ordering the most ‘cost efficient’ quarter pounder which is just Tesco bread, Tesco meat patty, and Tesco slice cheese,it finally came and this homeless burger cost me £6.50. The lamb chops I ordered was shown in the picture, 4 pieces of lamb, the same size of my finger nails and rice(eaten a bit) cost me £12.90??? Once they served the lamb,I regretted saying the burger is the most cost efficient one , the lamb just nail the prize👍

Beware: The guy who runs this place is very sneaky and deceitful about the pricing. Long story short, you will be charged DOUBLE the price just for eating in, and no one will show you the actual menu before you place your order so you literally won't know what you're getting yourself into. The full story: We wanted a takeaway and he kept insisting that we sit in to eat. We finally gave in and he, while laughing and clearly acting like he was joking, said that he will charge us double just to eat in. We laughed together and didn't give it a second thought. After eating, when we went up to pay, he literally charged us double and said the price was based on this menu he had next to him (rather than the pricing clearly written on the boards above for everyone to see). We never saw that menu before nor did he ever try to show it to us before ordering. Plus, the food itself and the service were mediocre to say the least so there is really no point in dining at this place. To be honest one star it’s too much for them

I’ve been in Bodrum with my friend for food and they give us what they want. Not what I really want n the rice was very dry and they are very rude. I don’t like this place one star is too much for them. To be honest Antep n Istanbul next door they have a taste food an friendly staff too

Not for vegetarians at all. The vegetarian burger with chips just wasn’t worth the price. They have some veggie options on the menu but nothing available when you actually go there! The server was acting a bit weird. “The water is vegan here” type of silly jokes. I would not recommend. But to be fair, my friends who ordered meat dishes found the food satisfactory.

Best bbq restaurant in the UK and Turkey

Had a meal couple of times with friends, they served us with old or left over food from day before and the rice was so dry and old as well. Told them your food is junk shouldn’t be given to a customer but they didn’t care at all and they charged me full price. Worst place I’ve ever been in Oxford, never recommended to waste your money and time in this place.

Very busy that's why service is 4 stars because its hard to get a hold of the staff but I assure you the service is 5 stars, food is again 4 starts because its not mind breaking like antep kitchen again, for the price and budget this is the best food you can get .

These guys also own Nefi Istanbul a few doors down which is also amazing. CoK guzel!!!! Always go for the chips cheese mayo and lamb shish

Ive been going to bodrum for 20 years,the service has got worse as times gone on and the food is not worthy to be called Turkish anymore,tonights service was just blunt an rude....the food overcooked.....you people who work there need to remember who pays your wages....we do the customer....have some respect and up your service .

The donner kebab at 11pm on a Friday night was disappointing. Bland, not smooth to eat and just not great.

Low quality food. It has nothing to do with Turkish food. I think hummus is made of canned peas, terrible taste. Bread is good though. Prices are high for causal dining. Never will come back.

Lovely place, good food and friendly staff.

They served lamb shank that had clearly gone bad. I told them about it and did not eat it. The manager kept arguing that it was perfectly cooked and Turkish delight. They did not even bother asking me to not pay although I did not eat anything. So I paid the full amount for tasting the meat that had gone bad. Please do not go here to waste your money and be treated badly.

I come from far away to get their lamb chops and rice this is the best grill in the whole Oxford 😋 I love spending money on them worth every penny every bite delicious 😋

A true gem in Oxford and our go to place for lunch. Their Adana kebab is to die for! Prices are great and portions are amazing. Staff is so lovely and hospitable, they would kindly offer us tea and delicious baklava for free while we wait for the food to be ready. Such a heartwarming gesture.

The food is very, very good. Quite busy because they do a lot of takeaway. The place lacks a little bit of customer service. Staff is nice, but they're just too busy.

staff are really nice, and they will provide each customer for free black tea(which is sooooo good) and one small dessert (forget the name) I must recommend the lamb wrap( you cannot eat whole one by yourself) juicy lamb!

I love a place with a giant menu- makes me wanna order something someone hasn’t ordered for like 20 years. Lamb shish + doner are both flavourful and tender and the salad makes me feel like a health queen.

The chicken shish tastes amazing and keeps me coming back, but with an extra large (2 skewers), the salad portion is very small and the bread is not enough for so much chicken.

Extremely rude and racist staff, been there twice and on both occasions was left waiting over 15 mins to be served when others came after and were served first, refuse to acknowledge your even there and overall extremely unwelcoming, and when questioned why it took so long, I was met with hostility instead of an apology, If you are black do not go!!!!!

They charge you extra for something you don’t order. Beware!

Had two types of lamb (chops and kabob), on Feb.8; both excellent and very plentifully sized plates. Prices very reasonable, service wonderful. Casual but clean and comfortable dining area. Good chips, meals had bread, sauces, tea, and desserts included. Wow, good! Highly recommended.

One of the best food i ever had

This is probably the oldest Turkish restaurant in the area. I understand the ambiance can be different depending on what time you are there. Either after a night out or for lunch or takeaway, I am pretty sure you will be very happy with the food there in any scenario. The service is great. People who work there are very friendly. I would recommend Bodrum to anyone after a Döner or Shish kebap. Today I tried their lamb dish and it was just perfect🧿🏆
