Because it was, parking on site, courteous welcome, comfortable room, elegant bathroom, all services worked, superb restaurant, checkout efficient and accurate. LATEST STAY 30/31 Aug 2024 I’m a bit of a regular here. This stay was equally agreeable. My preference for a ground floor room was accommodated as was my need for four pillows for I sleep propped up. Excellent breakfast. No problems, parking available.

The hotel is nice and most of the rooms are probably great. But, if you end up having to stay in their room 47, prepare for an unconscionably hot experience. This room gets very hot in the summer, has a very little window that faces a courtyard which provides very little ventilation. I am not exaggerating when I say that the temperature during the night was 30 degrees.

My wife and I have been traveling across Europe on business for several months. We usually pick highly rated four-star hotels. Cotswold Inn is the best we’ve stayed in. Our room in the original wing was spacious, lovely, and brightly lit, but the real differentiator for me was the incredibly gracious service. I get up at 3:00 AM to write. In order to not wake my wife I usually look for a desk in a common space outside the room. In hotel after hotel across Europe, staff refused to let me use any common spaces after hours. Why on earth not? I can’t imagine. But at Cotswold, not only did the night clerk show me to an elegant old-world drawing room, but unsolicited, asked me if I might enjoy a coffee or tea. He then produced a lovely cappuccino. At three in the morning.

On arrival the member of staff who checked us in was extremely rude. The room was unusually hot which made sleeping difficult. They advised the bar was 24-7 we were unable to order a drink to take back to our room at midnight as the bar was closed.

Great location, a short walk to the city centre. Stayed here for a couple of nights before moving into my own apartment. The staff were very polite and extremely helpful. Rooms are tastefully decorated, excellent with good value for money. Both breakfast and dinner were very good.

Very lovely staff and great food, very pleasant garden and the staff were kind enough to also bring water for our dogs.

Have eaten here several times this week, once for breakfast and then a dinner in the private dining Botanical Rooms. The food and service was excellent, and our group of 17 enjoyed an excellent dinner

Friendly pub with food that is a step above the normal. Quick and friendly service and a good selection of beers.

What you would expect from any other Wagamamas, but everything is up to that standard. Great Japanese food, immaculate vibes and friendly staff. There is always a buzz. What’s not to like.
