The best restaurants serving Default food in Bransgore and Burley New Forest South East

We are regular visitors to the cat and fiddle, love it everytime, great food, service and atmosphere. Particularly love the duck pizza. Great kids selection too.

We had our wedding here on the 28 August 2024. What a fabulous day from start to finish. Everything was perfect. Tom and his staff were very professional but friendly and accommodating. All our guest guests thought it was the perfect venue very relaxed. Even the weather was perfect and we were able to have our ceremony outside, but even if we needed to be inside the venue would still have been perfect. A really big thank you to Tom and his team for making our special day perfect.

An amazingly friendly and beautifully situated accommodation…the Staff are this places strongest asset…they’re second to none!!! Room 3 is lovely Good food & a relaxing atmosphere in a sublime location!!!

Lovely lunch here, my boys devoured the ham egg and chips! It was delicious! We will come again for a Sunday roast. Would highly recommend

I've eaten here before & the food was good. I returned again & just WoW!!! The steak & Stilton pie is to die for. A great meal & lovely atmosphere. I see why they are highly rated for their home cooked pies.

We had a roast dinner and everything was very good. The meat, we had pork belly, the veg, the Yorkshire were amazing. The service was excellent, especially a blonde long curly haired lady was so good with the children. Atmosphere was great. Even with a big party going on we were served promptly. The best we have had.

Stayed for one night for a 30th birthday celebration, absolutely gorgeous. From when we checked in the staff were absolutely lovely and welcoming, nothing too much trouble. The garden is a fab sun trap and barely any noise other than birdsong, so you really feel tucked away. We had some lovely extra touches throughout the stay which was really special. Food was lovely, dinner (top tier chips!) and breakfast. Room was a great mix of homely and luxury feeling and had everything you'd need and more. Absolutely recommend and big thank you to the whole team for making our stay so lovely and memorable.

As a removal company we often find our staff are struggling to find places willing to let us park. The brilliant staff at the Crown were accommodating, the food was excellent, and the atmosphere welcoming. All in all the local area is lucky to have such an excellent venue. Visited here on a sunny weekday in the first week of school Easter holidays. It was quite quiet when we first arrived & we had the choice of where to sit. Personally,I found the table service side & non table service side options of where to sit a bit confusing. I would say the staff did too as they were constantly running around looking after both sides 🤔 On that point the staff got busier & busier, from what I could tell only 2 staff were working the whole area (although a couple of other staff members did serve food to tables) They definitely need more staff. Food was okay & nicely presented. Average prices for location.

Arrive at 13.30 6 people drinks and food order straight away but waiting 45 mimutes for starters -5 starters arrived and waiting for last one for ages - soup - no spoon so waiting again- half way through starters drinks arrived wine but no glasses then main course in different stages one person nearly finished and other still waiting food was cold side vegetables arrived when we nearly done so disappointed and pudding we order was banana toffee pie but arrive block of frozen ice cover with chocolate such lovely location but terrible food

Disappointed to discover they have closed their indoor seating area, for good it seems, and only offer take away service. Which for disabled persons, means struggling with your food and drink to outdoor only benches some 20 yards from the cafe entrance.
