The pub itself is nice with log burners and there were a number of tables occupied ( though I wouldn't call it busy). I had the gammon, chips and peas and it was tasty; thick succulent gammon and decent chips. Unfortunately my husband had the suet pastry pie. It was nothing like he expected, the pastry was hard tough and thick, really not pleasant and the pastry to filling ratio was very poor. Apart from this our main complaint was the service which was exceptionally slow. We waited 50 minutes to receive our food and some other people who ordered after us got their food before us. Just awful having to wait that long and then being disappointed by the pie. We won't be returning.

This well-managed village pub is a true gem, boasting CAMRA approval and CaskMark certification. The comfortable, clean establishment features a bar, lounge, and snug area, enhanced by a charming open fireplace. An exceptional selection of four rotating craft ales, changing almost weekly, guarantees a diverse and flavorful experience. Three ciders on tap, an impressive wine list, spirits, mixers, and snacks complete the offerings. The friendly, professional, and knowledgeable staff contribute to the pub's lively atmosphere. Parking is available in front (street parking) and a private rear car park, although access between properties may be slightly challenging. A paved rear area with tables, chairs, and lighting, as well as a grassy area with traditional wooden benches, provides ample outdoor seating. For real ale enthusiasts, this is undoubtedly one of Milton Keynes' premier destinations.

Not the best experience. My siblings and I booked afternoon tea for Mother’s Day. Made to wait 45 minutes for our pre booked table. Poor service, had to keep looking for staff for top ups of tea. Food was ok but for the price nothing special. Very disappointed

I’ve been aware of The Carrington Arms for many years, but never actually been there. Well what can I say, I wish I’d gone sooner. What an absolute treat, beautiful building, lovely atmosphere and SUPERB food . The staff were amazing. There was a young, new member of staff learning the ropes. Her name was Ella, and we found her to be delightfully and hope she does well. She looked after us with great care. We didn’t get the ladies name who was training her, but needless to say, was excellent also . We hope to return very soon 5***** +

I'm local and a regular, the food/service is usually good. Decided on Sunday late afternoon, after a weekend of diy to go for a Sunday banquet. Was seated, given menu, restaurant deserted, am sole customer at 1640 on Sunday - to be told as single person can't have Sunday banquet, nor a similar reduction on any other dishes, as am alone. Nothing in their marketing nor on menu to limit this to couples or more. Wasn't a capacity problem, cook was there, staff was there, no one else there, was hardly going to clog up a table till closing time, just 'we never have, for 20 years'. Shame on you Moza, it is hard enough eating out as a woman on your own on a Sunday, no need to make people feel second class customers when they are eating alone. I left and went to the competition and won't be eating here in future.

This place is a hidden gem. Good old proper pub/ restaurant. Owners so very friendly , the food amazing. All meat and vegetables are locally sourced.we both had the stake and ale pie which was amazing, the meat was so tender and homemade pastry top class, this came with a dish of veg, consisting of broccoli cauliflower carrots and leeks, all cooked perfectly. It was served with a choice of new potatoes or home made chips, and was also presented with a big jug of homemade gravy. The service was perfect ,genuine kind lovely people. Beautiful village between Northampton and Newport Pagnell. Also dropped by last year for a Sunday dinner which was also fab. So nice to be able to gout out for such fresh wholesome food. We will be back

Stopped here en route to Olney because we needed a comfort stop. Looked around the good selection of well cared for plants in the nursery and liked what we saw. Decided to have lunch here and enjoyed a ploughmans and a panini with cups of tea. Everything was excellent! 5 star hygiene rating. Good service. Cleanliness of the crockery, cutlery, teapot etc was perfect. Glad we stopped here and will visit again if in the area.

Having visited before we were not disappointed on our return visit. The food is great, we were there for Sunday lunch and had the mixed roast, it was delicious, the roast beef was the star of the show being melt in the mouth tender. Highly recommend this place. The only minor downside is that parking is tricky as it is so popular.
