Holiday Inn Milton Keynes East M1, JCT.14, an IHG Hotel in Milton Keynes

Nice hotel but don't expect to get any loyalty points for staying here! I fear a scam!

Disappointed… I’d booked and paid for a room according to their website months before. Non refundable it said. I didn’t need the room as I was no longer at an event at that hotel that night as was the plan. But I thought I’d utilise it. Got there and was advised I hadn’t been billed and I could have cancelled after-all. The room was ok, but the bed cover was dirty. As if soot or ash was spilled on it. There are no power points or USB points on the same side of the room as the bed. I asked why and was told health and safety. But I was advised I could have an extension lead trailed across the room which as a tripping hazard made no sense. The shower when on overflowed out and flooded the bathroom. The upside was as a rewards member I got some complimentary snacks on arrival which i wasn’t expecting. In summary, the team mean well and try hard. The room layout is inadequate and the preparation standards were not acceptable. The bed was uncomfortable and I’ve had better nights rest at cheaper places. Not in a rush to go back.

Thanks for charging me £60 to park for <1 hour. Will avoid your hotels for the rest of my life.

I don't often use Holiday Inn, but it was last minute meeting, I was pleasantly surprised. Very clean and comfortable and a good breakfast

Great relaxing hotel, well staffed, and unfortunately situated in the middle of very extensive roadworks.

Really nice place to stay only reason for 3 stars for location is due to road to Newport pagnal being closed during building work. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Good place , conference. Lunch was acceptable.

I visited to collect tgtg breakfast bag. Food was inedible, shocking! Dried out under the keep hot lights. And ..... Days later, I received a £100 parking fine for parking on private property !!! You couldn't make it up !

My one night stay was in IHG Rewards Club Room (having earned enough points). Please note that if you booked cash + points, you will not get a refund for the cash (just for points) when you cancelled a booking ($90 was not refunded as daughter had to book a separate toom). Just the same, hotel staff were friendly and accommodating. I was allowed to check in before 2 pm as the room was already free. The room was clean (with complimentary teas/coffees and biscuits) with a nice view. The pool was small but water was warm and there was a steam room. The hotel is walking distance to the 'Mall' (in-door shopping complex) and Milton Keynes Central train station. Overall, I had a pleasant and comfortable stay. Many thanks! Very well taken care of hotel with great conference facilities. It's just a bit distant from shops etc

Visited for a work meeting, very slow service for a cup of tea!

Everything in the room was dusty, probably from a craftsman trying to repair/sand down the door (it was still stuck badly). Then off to the restaurant. Caesar salad with fried chicken: it came quite quickly but there was no sign of the chicken. There was no sign of the waiter in the restaurant either. After I had eaten half of the salad the waiter suddenly came with the chicken??? Then in the morning for breakfast: The coffee machine didn't work and we weren't offered an alternative. So we took tea with the hot water provided, which unfortunately was only lukewarm. Everything looked dingy. The sock that was in the stairwell in the afternoon was still there in the morning. So with 2 stars the hotel would still be well served. That was just the most important thing.

Got a parking fine issued. Apparently there are 20+ notices all around the place, but I didn't see one. Fine cancelled but shouldn't have happened in the first place.

They booked a wedding and had loud music till midnight. How they think this is acceptable for the other guests?

Ideally situated off the M1 and close to Milton Keynes. Hotel has a large car park, efficient check-in with friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are clean, well furnished with all amenities. Bar and restaurant has identical and varied menu. Ordering process is easy with food served quickly and well prepared. Breakfast served in the main restaurant, buffet style with varied selection of hot and cold foods. This is my preferred stay over when attending meetings in MK.

** Do not have a function here, you will be let down and disappointed ** Utter shambles. Incompetent and under staffed. Bar staff re-using dirty glasses for other customers. 2 functions on and only 1 person behind the main bar. Run out of basic branded alcohol. Run out of glasses. London bar prices for a run down hotel on a building site. AVOID !!

Good rooms very comfortable Location not the best of location but very place

We attended a wedding at this venue last Saturday and have to say it's a beautiful Holiday Inn and secondly nothing was too much trouble for the wonderful staff. What a great team! Highly recommend
