We had the best Burns Night dinner at the Durant Arms. The Pub was packed , there were gentlemen in full kiltled evening dress and ladies in posh frocks, also people in jeans and tops with a tartan ribbon in their hair. Everyone was having a fabulous time, and the atmosphere was incredible. The Addess to the Haggis was brilliant. The food was absolutely delicious, inventive interpretation of traditional Scottish dishes. The chef made mashed potato and mashed neeps so rich and lush. The star of my meal was definitely the pud, irnbru ice cream float, with raspberry gel and tea cake. Amazing! The staff were wonderful, the pub was full to bursting but all the food came out quickly and effectively. It was just such great fun and they were so friendly. It was fabulous.

This well-managed village pub is a true gem, boasting CAMRA approval and CaskMark certification. The comfortable, clean establishment features a bar, lounge, and snug area, enhanced by a charming open fireplace. An exceptional selection of four rotating craft ales, changing almost weekly, guarantees a diverse and flavorful experience. Three ciders on tap, an impressive wine list, spirits, mixers, and snacks complete the offerings. The friendly, professional, and knowledgeable staff contribute to the pub's lively atmosphere. Parking is available in front (street parking) and a private rear car park, although access between properties may be slightly challenging. A paved rear area with tables, chairs, and lighting, as well as a grassy area with traditional wooden benches, provides ample outdoor seating. For real ale enthusiasts, this is undoubtedly one of Milton Keynes' premier destinations.

Not as good as it was, the lady ordered chicken live which was faultless, however my 12oz medium rare ribeye was cold on arrival along with a blue cheese sauce which was Cold and gloopy. More attention needs to be given to what is coming out of the kitchen. I have been coming here for 15 years and this is the only bad meal I have had.

We just love this venue. Food, setting, ambience and staff are all absolutely ace. Cannot find anything to complain about !! As I am usually the designated driver when we visit, the only improvement I might suggest to their offer is something a little more exotic in the way of non-alcoholic drinks. The alcoholic-free Chardonnay is good when it is really chilled as is the gin but I would love to be able to order a mocktail or two just to ring the changes. Would really love to see 2 or 3 on the Menu for the future. Apart from that, don't change anything. Defo the best Chicken Caesar Salad for miles !!!
