The Carrington Arms in Milton Keynes

What a fabulous find! Very comfortable accommodation. Great staff. And the food…..OMG , absolutely fabulous! Try the whitebait …. Dreamy And the chicken Caesar salad…..I have eaten in lots of places around the world and this is one of the best. So worth a visit.

Went there for anniversary meal, wanted something special and was not disappointed. From the moment we got there, until leaving, the staff were fantastic. Hannah looked after us at our table and she was excellent, great personality and a credit to the excellent staff. We both selected a Meat Counter steak from the menu and Hannah made sure she explained the process of choosing all of our meal items. Highly recommend both venue and all staff.

This venue continues to provide an excellent dining experience. Been coming here for upwards of 30 years now, and whilst the fundamental offering is relatively unchanged, the menu and environment have been gently improved and kept in tune with modern tastes. A shout out to Chloe, who provided excellent table service on this occasion.

Hannah gave us a fantastic experience. She was polite, professional and knowledgeable. And Jack chef supremo a wonderful meal.

Again not disappointed, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere and wonderful food. Steve, was our server, and was brilliant.

Excellent food. I had steak and a speciality is that the chef shows you the different cuts and explains the options. My wife had the chicken dish. Both were delicious as were the starter and desert. All staff were extremely friendly and helpful, including our server, Will, who did a great job.

Great food and great service by Chloe at the Carrington Arms. We go at least a few times a year and always have a great time and good meal.

I used the Carrington arms new luxury airport transfer service. Couldn’t have been happier with the experience. Great communication, lovely car and help with the bags. Also included drop off at premium Luton drop off. Will def use again.

Once again I had a lovely steak dinner at the Carrington Arms. The reception is always welcoming, and the ability to pick out your steak from the fridge is my favourite way to choose my meal. The food was cooked to perfection, melted in the mouth and the desert way too tempting to miss. Becca did a great job keeping us happy, and we will return soon.

We came to The Carrington Arms tonight for my birthday dinner. The food was lovely and the service was good. Will served us and was charming. It is more expensive than other restaurants but the quality of the steak is phenomenal

Five of us visited for a celebratory 18th birthday meal and were not disappointed. The food was delicious, staff attentive and atmosphore perfect. All in all it was a great night - most importantly, the birthday boy got his steak! Would thoroughly recommend.

Wasn’t planning on having a steak when I looked at the menu as one of the specials had looked delicious but very glad I changed my mind as, after a chat with the chef, I decided on having rump steak cooked very rare (blue!) which was amazing. Service was excellent all night, special thanks to Sophie who suggested my friend have the S’mores dessert which she thoroughly enjoyed. Will definitely return as we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals.

Took my partner there to celebrate her birthday. Excellent service given by Sophie coupled with one of the best steaks I have ever eaten made for a special meal. Highly recommended and we have already booked to come again.

Second time we have visited for food and it was equally as good as the first. Lovely menu choice and the service from Kirsty was second to none. The food was the best we have experienced in a while. Will definitely be back.

We have been to the Carrington Arms on numerous occasions over the years and it’s been fantastic. Last night sadly it wasn’t. It was really really busy, which I always like to see in a restaurant especially in these current times when some restaurants have been struggling. My husbands burger was soggy on the bottom of the bread and he couldn’t pick it up. I ordered king prawns for the main and ordered 6 when they were brought out it was on two separate plates as they said I had ordered two starters which I hadn’t, I asked them to be put on one plate, which they duly did but then came out on one small plate, so could get my sides on the plate, no separate napkins or wipes to clean my fingers, as obviously I would be peeling them. My sons steak was over cooked, however all the 3 fish main courses were cooked really well and enjoyed by our party, also the dauphinois potatoes were fantastic. It was incredibly smokie in the restaurant from the grill which wasn’t great and I know that there is nothing that can be done about that but still not pleasant when you come out smelling of smoke. Overall some food good and some not quite so good. We were also charged for three bottles of wine instead of two. We did have to wait a while for our main courses yet there was plenty of staff on but at no time did the staff clear our tables of numerous glasses, we had to ask. I am not sure I would return again for a while and felt the price of the meals had gone up quite a but since our last visit.

Midweek meal, steak was perfect, didn’t need a sauce. Everything seasoned perfectly, these know how to cook. Good selection of wine and port!!! Deserts spot on, and cheese board plenty!! Served by Kate; made us well-come and looked after us all night , can’t fault it. This was Wed in Nov 2023, and it was busy, so book!

The best burger I've ever eaten bar none...100% bang on flavour, the skin on truffle chips were amazing and the bourbon crispy fillets were heavenly...I can't recommend them highly enough.

Disappointing changes to this place. Pitiful welcome, cold, empty dining area. Scruffy young woman leaning on bar, just inside the door vaping and chatting to the staff/her mates. I had to watch this all through lunch. Sweet but clueless waitress, no sauces offered to accompany meal. Lots of staff gathered chatting behind bar constantly. Food good but small portions. Glad we ordered an ‘extra’. Not recommended. Wouldn’t return.

10/10 I was recommended by a friend and he was not wrong. The steak was absolutely delicious!! I dealt with Danny on the steak counter who was friendly and it’s a nice touch speaking to the chef. Highly recommend, you will not be disappointed. 10/10

Excellent service by Will the food was amazing Husband is extremely fussy but is definitely our go to restaurant from now on.
