Great experience in the restaurant at the swan. Lively informal atmosphere, good menu with some additional specials. The place has a great vibe and the service friendly and efficient. Three courses and a couple of drinks very reasonable too. Will be going back, excellent!

We had the Wednesday steak special and it was absolutely delicious! The service was good and the food was really well cooked - will definitely be going back.

Easter Sunday lunch with family. Fantastic roast with all the trimmings. Good choice of meats and cooked perfectly, full of flavour.

Came for a Good Friday dinner and we weren’t disappointed. The staff were attentive and the food was excellent. We did have to wait a while to receive our drinks, but it certainly didn’t spoil our evening. The prices were also fair, and were good value. Would definitely go back.

Good value pub grub. A convenient halfway house to meet friends for lunch midweek. Usually busy , we always book. Set menu 2 courses, plus drinks about £20 . Always manage to park nearby .

We went for steak night and it was great. Steaks done just as asked - med-rare. Lovely dessert and great service. We couldn’t ask for more.

Had a very good lunch here on a very wet Thursday, market day! We ate from the February fixed-price menu as each course offered something that we really wanted to eat. We weren't disappointed! It was a special occasion for us and as we'd had to cancel our original plans due to health issues, lunch at The Swan Bistro made our day. We had requested a nice table and were placed on a perfect table with plenty of space in front of a window. The food was excellent value and the ambience was perfect. We would thoroughly recommend and we will return.

The Swan is my local so a fairly regular customer! Most recently I was there for lunch a couple of days ago. We only wanted a light lunch so as soon as I saw my favourite devilled kidneys was on the menu, it was a no brainer! They are sublime and must be tried! I didn’t intend having a pudding but when I saw treacle tart was on there was no question. With a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream (I declined the custard as well) it was delicious.

Lovely ambiance in nice surroundings in a lovely little town. I have now eaten here twice, one for a midweek business lunch and then returned with my wife for a Sunday roast and will come again. Service impressively attentive at a busy time. Food enjoyable but a little let down by the veg. However, the Sunday roast choice is impressive (different meat choices) and my wife who had the pork and me, who had beef, were impressed by the quality, cooking & portion size, which we felt was better than other local competing restaurants offering similar fare. Sunday lunchtime quite noisy lots of bustle, but a full restaurant showed it is well liked venue.

The food was unreal... fairly priced, nice atmosphere, friendly staff. 1st time we've been there but will definitely go again.

Absolutely lovely little pub and we had the best meals. I had the halloumi burger which was absolutely scrummy. My only bug bear is having an optional service charge adding to the bill. I prefer to pay my own tip.

Always lovely. Never had a bad meal over many years. All the meals served to our group were very good and the service was friendly and efficient. Prices of main courses were reasonable but felt the dessert prices at £8 are a little steep.

Went to meet up with an ex work colleague as this was local to him. It was extremely busy (Rugby World Cup was on) but we still managed to get served reasonably easy by what were a very friendly team of bar staff. Decent selection of lagers, ciders and ales meant we stayed a good few hours. Pub garden was also a decent size and under cover - good because it was a very cold day for the time of year with the odd shower. Would go again.

Very easy 5 stars. Well above average in food, beer, music and staff. Actually had some craft ale....most pubs don't do this. Veggie and vegan options as well as full on meat food selection. Highly recommended. Edit: just had 2nd visit. Still an outstanding pub :)

Came here with my 93yo Grandmother for a roast dinner and pudding and it was fantastic - I had the chicken which was a huge portion but really delicious, my Gran had the children's portion which she loved. We also had the honeycomb cheese cake and the orange creme brulé which were both amazing. Hospitality was outstanding, even though it was really busy we got our food really quickly, we were sat in a corner which was perfect as it didn't feel too loud, the waitresses were lovely and accommodating. We'll definitely be making a trip back soon!

Not very good really. Food was not well cooked - Over cooked squid, greasy scampi and haddock - wrong wine served: ordered a French Pinot Noir and was given a Chilean one. No explanation until queried and then told that the wine was correct and the wine list had yet to be updated. Loads of staff and yet service was poor. Got so fed up with waiting for our mains plates to be cleared, that we didn't bother with dessert. Just got the bill and left, which says it all.

We got a little earlier than opening and at opening time they weren't ready. Food was tasty but lacked green vegetables.

Really dissatisfied. They got our stakes, choice of chips/fries muddled, and the sauce on the wrong plate. When I told the waitress, she said she'll let the chef know. Nothing was knocked off the bill and I was left angry instead of satisfied. Even if the stakes were the right way around, it was well done and dry. Gutted and robbed.

Met again in the bistro with far flung family for a super lunch, great service and atmosphere. Will definitely go again. It only takes us a couple of hours to get there, but it's worth the effort.

My friend and I had booked for lunch after having a lovely walk around Olney.We both ordered a Sunday roast.The portions were huge, so make sure you have a big appetite… I couldn’t eat all mine but the lovely lady that served us, brought me some foil so I could wrap it up to take home.The staff were very helpful & courteous.The food was amazing…. Have another great meal at the Swan.... nothing was too much trouble...our family was some what depleted due to Covid ..so our preordered meals kept changing... but everything was great..staff very obliging..service was quick ..food hot ..what more can you ask for....still the best place to eat in Olney

I had lunch on 28th December with a friend. I opted for the Turkey roast lunch and i was disappointed that it wasn’t great. The sprouts were cold and hard and there were hardly any roast potatoes. My friend had a burger which he enjoyed. I should have said something at the time but I was on a date so didn’t want to do that! The food is quite pricey here and the quality should match I think I’ll try elsewhere in future.
