We had the most amazing roast dinner here! The service was great, particularly as we were a large and noisy group, but we were really well looked after. We’ll definitely be back (I’ve already told my Dad about it, as he loves a roast) Also want to come back and try the breakfast one weekend, especially as we know it’s dog friendly too. Part of a big party for Sunday lunch. Given the size of the party, the food was still excellent, service was fast and friendly and the decor was nice and warm. I will definitely return

I had the pleasure of enjoying a Sunday roast at this fantastic pub, and it was truly exceptional. I opted for the roast pork, which was perfectly cooked—tender, flavorful. The roast was served with all the traditional trimmings, cooked to perfection, from the golden roast potatoes to the rich, velvety gravy. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, a traditional britiah pub feel. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive and made us feel right at home. Considering we were a big group, they made sure we had everything we needed. Not one order missed. For the quality of food and service, the price was more than reasonable, an absolute steal for what we had This place is a must-visit. I’ll definitely be returning!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely Outstanding! We booked The White Hart for a group of 15 for Sunday roast, and they absolutely smashed it! The food was first-class—every plate was cooked to perfection, with generous portions and amazing flavors. The service was faultless; the staff were friendly, attentive, and made everything run smoothly. The pub itself has a great atmosphere, a lovely location, and the kind of welcoming vibe that makes you want to stay all afternoon. Highly recommend—can’t wait to come back!

We went with friends for lunch on Wednesday this week. The service was friendly and atmosphere good. Most importantly it was a delicious meal for us all, generous portions and cooked perfectly, I had the moo pie, beef tender with just the right amount of cheese. The others in our party had burgers and the liver, equally delicious. The deserts were homemade, we all enjoyed them, the bread and butter pudding had a yummy creamy layer of egg custard, I’ve never tasted better! Well done chef & staff we will be back.

Breakfast was superb! Mattress was a little soft but wasn't an issue. Service was superb in the bar and restaurant. Thanks to the lovely ladies who looked after us and our dogs! Great place for the pooches! We will be back!

Nice restaurant and food for reasonable price

We went for a meal and all enjoyed our choices. I have ever had such hot fish and chips, right to the last bite. Normally they go cold before finishing, but these stayed lovely. Thank you.

The White Hart is a buzzy village pub with good friendly staff, home cooking and comfortable, spacious rooms. The breakfast is a particular strength with a wide choice. The bacon from a local supplier was full of flavour.

Again a Sunday lunch. Large portions. Cooked beautifully. Service excellent. All top quality and definitely recommended

Not just a great village pub. Small hotel. Super restaurant and village shop. An asset to the village. Yearly beer festival.Dog friendly.

Had a bad experience here when we left some special items after our stay. Don’t trust the management staff/front of house! The manager was incredibly rude and immature at the situation, and extremely unhelpful. Refused to take any responsibility for the what happened to our items despite the cleaning staff doing their absolute best to help out and act with integrity. Disappointing is an understatement. What a disgrace.

A lovely pub but the food today was disappointing. Very unimaginable except for the one portion of mushroom soup. No hot desert and selection was what you might find everywhere

Only eaten here, but very very good. No pretentious rubbish, just good food and friendly service in a nice atmosphere. Well worth coming again.

Always a welcome, and roaring wood fire in winter, at this enterprising family inn. Nice food, excellent beers and a ready conversation. What more could you want from a local pub.
