One of the best places in town for coffee for sure!

Best Cafe in MK 🤍 amazing food and drink, always lovely service and the baked items are unmatched. Plenty of seating and a great place to work or meet a friend.

It has very tasty coffee, exceptional sweets, and amazing staff. But... because they are dog friendly, sometimes you will find dog fur on the chairs or tables, which is an issue for allergic persons or those having respiratory problems. Or even you can accidentally swallow or inhale dog hair.

We always enjoy our visit to Canal St Coffee. The coffee is first class and the pastries are wonderful. Plus they allow dogs, which is always a bonus.

Weird coffee...need to specify plain black americano..Quality food. Mike ..thanks for response. I had one of your coffees with a hint of strawberry lace and other flavours when I really just wanted a simple black coffee. It was interesting but just not what I expected. The pastry I had was wonderful.

Been coming here since they opened as I live just around the corner. Always a great shout for a coffee or a bite to eat. Lots of good veg and vegan options as well. It does get a bit busy on weekends with queues out the door, so prepare to wait for a while as it doesn't move at the fastest rate. But once you order, the food/drink delivery is usually quite quick and of course yummy!

Excellent coffee. Rather dubious ham & cheese toastie.

Be careful where you park as the roads do not have signs, yet you will get a ticket if you park on the roads- hopefully pressure from local businesses will help to get the correct signage installed…

Toasties were excellent. Chicken chorizo and chilli jam was brilliant. Very good all in all.

Very laid back, horizontal. Liked it a lot and sitting by the canal, in a sun trap was cool, er, I mean hot. The iced coffee was too cold (DOH) to taste the subtle aftertaste of marmalade, seriously? Tasting notes a bit of artistic license, cheerfully explained in an unhurried way. Did I mention it was relaxed? The car park is not signed well, nor is the vehicle registration terminal, just ask in the Crest Nicholson suite over the road, they have the answers off pat as they sell you a flat......

Each cake I tried was perfectly balanced in sweetness, making them indulgent but not overwhelming. The cafe environment is warm and inviting, perfect for a cozy afternoon treat or catching up with friends. The staff are friendly and attentive, adding to the overall wonderful experience. Highly recommend this gem of a cake shop!

Great coffee, great food and great service. Only thing that lets this place down is the lack of space- it can get very packed due to how popular it is. Also quite difficult to do some laptop work here as there isn’t much space/plugs to do your work with. If you’re going for the coffee, food and cakes I highly highly recommend. If you’re going for a sit down with your laptop or with friends or just on your own, make sure to go when it’s not so busy as spaces can be quite limited!

Never normally post reviews but the constant price increases of the cookies, muffins and cinnamon twist buns is a joke. When they first opened the cinamon buns were £3, fair enough, they are nice. Then it went to £3.50, ok, cosi livs, inflation and all that. Last Saturday they're now £4. For a normal, muffin-sized cinamon bun/twist. Nearly £10 for two is ridiculous. I know the place is hipster AF but come off it, this isn't Shoreditch.

Excellent coffee and carrot cake were the rewards at the end of a long bike ride there. Hard to judge the atmosphere as my partner and I sat outside. But, a nice view of the marina.

The place is getting very popular and can be loud at times. Food is delicious Decoration is simple. We loved it. Having order cakes to the baker before the café opened.... living them : not disappointed!

What a fantastic coffee shop! It has everything. It's in a lovely location, looking out on the canal, the coffee is locally sourced and really good. The cakes from T Sweetmap are a work of art and very reasonably priced. On top of that, the staff couldn't help enough. There are sometimes large queues, but that's not because the service is poor at all, it's just that popular! I have had a few meetings here as well as afternoons with the family. I would highly recommend you check them out.

Lovely independent coffee shop in Milton Keynes. It's situated next to the canal and is a hub. The food and coffee are on the more expensive side of the scale, but they are tasty and it's nice to sit and have a coffee in a genuinely nice area of Milton keynes. I recommend the almond croissant.

I went there yesterday ( Tuesday) for an almond croissant but was told it was sold out. I then went again today (Wednesday) in early morning try to get an almond croissant but was told it was unavailable today. Main thing is I overheard the other staff told the cashier ( the one who serving me) almond croissant was ONLY ON WEEKENDS! Why no one tell me that yesterday and today? Staffs were just neglectful or they just don’t care about their customer!

Lovely coffee shop, the coffee is tasty and smooth. Tried a vegan sausage roll and it was really nice. Outside seating is great 👍 went back for an early morning coffee and got a croissant fresh out the oven.

Great place for amazing coffee and some delicious snacks, 100% recommend the almond croissant! Staff are super friendly and helpful and in a beautiful location with views over the canal. Will always be regulars here :)

I love this place so much. The staff are friendly and helpful, the location and vibe are brilliant. But as a gluten free person, going somewhere with a selection of the best cakes you have ever tasted, which happen to be gluten free is the best. Best coffee and cake in MK

Great coffee, great food. Not cheap but worth the extra

I emigrated to the states 10 years ago and we came here while visiting family. This coffee shop made me feel like I was home in Brooklyn, the small things are what make it; utilising pillars for small standing spaces, tap water in a big dispenser that you can help yourself to, the split level seating, the industrial feel, the properly staffed barista bar, and the handleless mugs--the ceramics are really nice, a sturdy earthenware that's cool enough to hold but also keeps the coffee hot. To top it off it's dog friendly indoors and outdoors, just not upstairs, the patio seating they have is nice too, a mix of tables chairs and benches overlooking the marina. The coffee is superb, truly the best flat white in Milton Keynes. The chilli cheddar toastie that I had was delicious, the chilli jam has just a lovely level of warmth and the bread they use is herby and complements the cheddar perfectly. The sausage roll is served with an onion chutney and is again, excellent. Everyone else was happy with their toasties and pancakes too (Yank, ham & cheddar, plain). The only suggestion was that a small handful of blueberries or strawberries would've really elevated the pancake. They have coffee to purchase to take home (which I did), dog treats, an incredible selection of cold drinks (so you don't have to be a coffee drinker to enjoy this place!), ice cream in pots or as sandwiches and a tempting selection of cakes and pastries. All of which is locally sourced and made. The detail, seriously, the people that run this place clearly care about what they do and where they are. It's delightful. I've been in MK for 2 months with family, I'm leaving this week and I'm so sad that I've only just found this place. I would've been in most days, to work while looking out over the canal and wharf, and sipping on some truly divine coffee!

Not for ordinary’ If you up for a great morning walk routine & lots of friendly doggies sniffing around’ This is your place’ amazing canal work around’ Ouch I’m digressing’ Cafe is absolute delight’ Cakes and bakes connoisseurs specials. Banana cake’Almond Croissant are absolute joy to have with OAT LATTE in stone mugs without handles’ Who loved handles anyways ☺️ Thank me later Book it for next week. Loved each moment ☀️

Can't really comment for food but between the queue and getting 2 coffees it took 15 mins, peak period and the barista is on his phone, the staff are unbelievably disorganised, why would you not take the initiative to ask the next person in the queue their hot drink to speed the process up and avoid backlog. Disorganised table system they have table 1,2,3 4 inside and outside and upside so staff are walking aimlessly not know which table 4 the food is for. Maybe focus on structure and organisation before latte art.....

Delicious vanilla Lava Cheesecake, made by a star from Great British Bakeoff: The Professionals. Very high standard of coffee, I did notice people mixing up macchiato with the starbucks macchiato (totally different!) But the batista helped them and remade something they'd like instead. For a coffee lover, this place was perfect! With beautiful interior and stunning views of the canal. Felt like I was in London, not MK! Slightly expensive but for good reason! I have no qualms for how much it was, just would have helped to have the price on the Cheesecake in the fridge.

Very, very busy and difficult to park in the area. Cafe itself was very busy too but worth the wait for the cakes. Found the coffee quite bitter, despite being an iced mocha but did match quite nicely with the rich cake. Urgh. The chocolate orange mouse cake was an absolute delight. Chunks of blood orange within it, rich thick outer layer, fresh cream on top to cut through the richness. Would 100% go back for more cakes! Benches outside felt a bit weary of, there was 5 of us altogether and we were weary of that stability once we sat on them.

LOVE this place, I go here all the time and have had a lot of things on the menu & it’s never disappointed. I don’t understand anyone who would give them anything below 5 stars. I’ve told so many people about this place and they all love it! The cakes are works of art! Last time we were in there (2 days ago) we were talking to Tracey the chef and she was so lovely! She has such a passion for delicious food and great service. We were also so intrigued by her time on Bake Off The Professionals and was asking her so many questions about her time on there and it was really fascinating hearing about her experience. The staff are all so friendly and accommodating and have great recommendations when you are stuck for choice! There is a lot of choice that I find it clears to choose something so then end up ordering a selection of different items to try! The milk tea cake is my current fave which was recommended to me by a lovely girl who worked there. Can’t wait to go again :) Thank you Tracey and all the team! X

Very tasty cakes, friendly staff, and excellent coffee. They are dog friendly and very well located, inside Campbell park facing the new marine and pub, really gorgeous!

They have some really good coffee but I was otherwise disappointed. The cafe itself is split over two floors. Quite stark and bare in decor which probably drives the noisy environment, it wasn't pleasant. Order at the counter, then a long wait for the coffee to arrive. With that delay it would have been better for the cinnamon buns to have been brought with it, rather than being handed the bun to take away. This maybe a place to return to for takeaway coffee but I'll pass on the inedible cinnamon bun.

Nice location overlooking canal. Nice small coffee shop with seating upstairs. Dog friendly downstairs as well. Small selection of food but the sausage roll and pistachio cookie were amazing!

We just had a relaxing afternoon at the cafe. It is our first time. The pancakes and coffee are great. The place is cosy and friendly. The view to the canal and the wharf is amazing. It will surely be one of our regular places to go in the future.

Disappointed. Ordered two cheese and chili jam sandwiches. One was delivered, the second one took a-g-e-s; so long in fact, my lunch companion had already finished before I got mine. The cheese was scanty and, I suspect, mild not mature (completely tasteless in other words), the chili jam was incredibly sweet and did not taste remotely chili-ish. I also ordered an extra hot cortado which wasn’t very hot and consequently gone in a moment (true!), coming in about £1.60 per gulp. The crockery and little wooden trays that everything was served on, and the cool inside decor was lovely, but screams Style over Substance

A nice coffee shop with lots of treats including vegan items overlooking the canal/wharf. There is also outdoor seating for when the weather is nice. The almond croissant is definitely the best tasting croissant I’ve ever had. The Nutella latte was delicious. The cakes all look really good and would need to be tried next time we are back. The owner is really friendly and is trying to showcase desserts with a Hong Kong style which aren’t too sweet.

I have visited a few times prior to writing this review. On this occasion, I ordered the tumeric latte and white chocolate & blueberry cake. I'm excited to visit again and try the other cake options. I wouldn't recommend visiting on a weekend as it gets too busy, during the weekday is perfect. I would not recommend the pankcakes, they are tiny and very dry. If you do go get one * or two 😃 of the cakes (chefs kiss). Overall I would reccomend and will certainly be visiting again.

Visited this lovely cafe a couple times and it’s amazing! I would assume that it’s even nicer to come during summer with the view of the canal. The cakes are delicious! Great coffee and the chai latte is just WOW

Such a nice place for a dog walk stop

Came here for few times now, staffs are always friendly even if they are super busy. Drinks are great and I finally had the matcha latte, certainly the best in MK! 🪐 Extra appreciation to the barista today cause even though it was busy, he still made the latte so beautiful and it really made my day. Fantastic friendly little coffee shop. Really busy, but should be expected as the coffee and cakes are superb :) Trouble is now I've been here, it will make stopping at Costa or Starbucks feel very average now by comparison.

Super nice little cafe. A little bit pricy but a great location for the view and lovely coffee and cakes. We had lunch there the toastie was good bit the cake and coffee the best.

If you're vegan and looking for the best sausage roll around, head here! I've been plant based for 8 years, and this was by far the best vegan sausage roll I've had. Coffee and staff are fantastic too. Highly recommend a visit.

It was nice to have properly textured milk on my latte for once! Definitely coming back. It’s just a shame that we decided to visit at the same time everyone else did and so we didn’t stay 😅 Delicious veggie toastie too!

Good food (we had a sausage roll and croissants) but the cof fee (which should be the main attraction) wasn't good. Bitter and served in thimbles that make it overly strong from a single shot. Couldn't drink the regular latte.

Absolutely lovely coffee here in a nice little café. Been twice and was packed both times. Very friendly staff. Haven't tried the food yet but it all looked so good!

We came here after hearing that the cakes had been made by someone who had been on bake off the professionals and we can confirm they were delicious! My partner said the cheesecake was the best he has ever eaten! The pancakes were also delicious and devoured by my daughter. We came on a Sunday and was very busy. We managed to get a table albeit by the door so a bit cold! Would recommend getting there early if you want a seat inside. Staff were very friendly. Only criticism which was slight was the waitress put a plate of two hot drinks down directly in front of my 1 year old and we just managed to move it out the way before she made a grab for them! Also the tea came with no milk so we had to get up to ask for some. Perhaps just partly down to busyness but also not knowing what babies are like but I’d always try and keep hot drinks away from little ones and we were on a big enough table. Would recommend and will come again.

My most favourite coffee spot ever. I’ve sat upstairs for a catch up with my sister, brought my laptop to do some work in a prettier place than the office, escaped for a lunch time coffee and Tracy’s cakes with my husband, popped in to pick up treats before seeing friends, bought vouchers so other people can experience the place, and met with my whole family and Moose the dog for late breakfast before a winter walk. The drink options are lush, I really recommend the turmeric latte if you fancy something different. Also the Nutella mocha, bliss. Tracy’s cakes are of course a work of art.

An excellent coffee shop in a much needed location on Campbell Marina. Overlooks the marina entrance and has two levels. Coffee was awesome, might be the best ever, and the food was simple and tasty. The mince pie slice was incredible. Busy on a very wet December afternoon in the midweek.

This is a good coffee shop and both espresso and flat white were very good. The T. Sweetap cakes is a nice touch and whilst good, they were all very similar (cheesecakes, tiramisu). I found it too noisy downstairs to work and upstairs was full, which is testament to how good this place is.

I check on your cafe through Google maps and it said it has opened. So I drive to your shop with my family, and it has closed. I couldn't be able to go and try your food or drink.

After seeing this when passing, I suggested we go here for a drink with my mum and we went for a drink and I can honestly say that it's a nice coffee shop right by the canal ☕ I can say that I loved it and I had a caramel latte (with no handle which was very unusual at first) but then I loved it 😂😂 the caramel latte I had was absolutely delicious and there was a water bucket around too so you can help yourself to water! 😁 My mum had a breakfast tea which was lovely and said we enjoyed!! I shall be returning as they do have food there too and breakfast options, a little pricey though but it's worth it if your supporting a local business ☕ Its a lovely cafe! 🥰

Great new coffee shop right by the Grand Union canal. Lovely friendly staff and great coffee. Haven't rated the food as I have only visited once but, based on this, I will have something to eat when I have more time.

Fabulous food and hot lattes. Friendly staff and calm atmosphere. Highly recommend going if you can although parking is a difficulty it's worth it. Downstairs is dog friendly so a great place to stop off if you're out on a walk.

This is a lovely little place with arguably the best coffee in Milton Keynes- this is becoming a favourite amongst our little group for meeting friends. Recommended.

It's really a nice restaurant with an ambient environment and a peaceful view there. I would recommend trying home made peanut and classic toast. 😋

The best almond croissant EVER!!

A lovely coffee shop and patisserie... the large coffee is not large like you might have been used to and no handles means that it can't be heated to volcanic temperatures like my husband prefers but got to say what a fabulous place this is... dogs are allowed downstairs which is great news for dog walkers...a fantastic view point overlooking the canal too.. it's going to be super in summer... can't wait to return...
