The best restaurants serving Default food in Hamble-le-Rice and Butlocks Heath Eastleigh South East

Decent Thai food in the heart of Hamble, one of only a couple of Hamble Restaurants that are consistently good.

Good place to stop, nice set up foods tasty too.

Food is always piping hot and tasty. Staff are also always friendly and ready to serve you when you arrive. Portions are always big and you'll never feel hungry afterwards!

Bar staff are really great, helpful and friendly, excellent Guinness and pizza!...

This was OK, but for the money we expected better. It's a bit like a glorified cafe, nice views, but we would not rate it romantic. squid, mussels and a crab salad. All very pleasant but hardly special..All very ordinary. Lemon passet for dessert. Made with lemon curd and over sweet, and an ice cream cone, but that artificial Whippy stuff....Would not rush back. Again, overpriced for what it is

Had been recommended this Italian by a local for a family birthday. Greeted warmly by restaurant staff, water on arrival, attentive service. Unfortunately we were next to a table that various suited/booted parents dropped 9 of their free-range charges with a handful of timid 'grown-ups' whilst en route to the Club, I suspect. Food was excellent, the staff was amazing dodging these young teenagers leaving chairs untucked in the staff's wake whilst they slammed toilet doors, daring each other to run in the kitchen and generally getting under people's feet. When they did sit down, volume control was clearly not in their gifts. Thought the restaurant staff did an excellent job at trying to make our meal an enjoyable experience despite the crèche like conditions other diners had developed. Would definitely go back but perhaps on a school night when hopefully these youths are not there. The restaurant was far from a let down but the locals certainly were.

We see recent post advertising the new bottomless roast so we thought we would try it with some friends! Entered to see the newly refurbished river rat what a lovely job also! Friendly warm welcome from all the staff we were then showed through to the new restaurant area… Damien was our waiter really friendly and informative never really waited for anything service on point!! Food was unbelievable lamb was the star just melted in the mouth! Roasties unlimited what’s not to like!! Thank you Laura & Sarah and your fabulous team we will see you again soon!!

Wonderful experience Food was exceptional very well presented pleasantly looked after by the owner/ waiter I would highly recommend this restaurant and will certainly be visiting again

Food was ok thou I think a lot of corners have been cut ( trying to save money) but after my dinner I went to the bathroom, it was not clean , walls , sinks and floors all need attention

During the pandemic, Pirate Pasties was an oasis that helped save our mental state. Visiting each weekend to sample some truely amazing pies, pasties and sausage rolls. Enjoying a coffee and a fantastic ice cream served through the hatch in the window gave us a sense of normality during those long months. Once things returned to normality we continued to enjoy an occasional visit as the food and drink are so good and the people so lovely and friendly. Now they have also opened another cafe in nearby Wickham where they continue to sell beautiful pastry and wonderful coffee. So worth a visit to enjoy not only some amazing food but also the friendly smile offered to every one of Hulia's (the owner) customers. I can safely recommend Pirate Pasties. Even to Jolly Roger.

Recently had an early morning meeting so we went to the Flying Boat and had a fantastic cooked breakfast, served up in a timely manner, by the friendly staff. Thoroughly recommended

Der Zwischenstop nach einer Wattwanderung in Jenny's Café war sehr gelungen. Hier werden in sehr gemütlicher Atmosphäre Getränke, leckere, selbst gebackene Kuchen und vieles mehr angeboten. Der junge Mann, der die wenigen Gäste bediente, war rührend um das Wohl seiner Gäste besorgt. Beim Innendekor und bei der Möblierung hat jemand seinem künstlerischen Gestaltungsdrang freien Lauf gelassen, aber vergessen, dass Textilien und rauhe Holzkanten sich nicht immer vertragen. Also da müßte nachgebessert werden.

Lovely pub with very friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble. Food excellent. I had risotto, which is always a bit risky but it was perfect and delicious. My sister had steak pie. Pastry was very nice. Full of meat with veg and a delicious caramelised gravy. I’d eat there again definitely. Thanks for a lovely lunch.

Great place, unreal food and service, love the place would definitely recommend

Sunday roast was amazing! Unlimited vegs and gravy on the side plus decent price and my fav was the beef. I expected it to be quiet but it was totally packed! Attentive customer service but we had to wait standing in a queue for a while to get our roasts.
