I recently had the distinct pleasure of dining at the esteemed History Pizzeria, an establishment renowned for its exceptional service and delectable cuisine. My experience, shared with a close companion, was marked by an air of refined elegance, which the pizzeria's ambiance and staff both enhanced and reflected. Upon entering, we were graciously greeted by the staff, and we were promptly led to our table. The atmosphere within the pizzeria was undeniably warm and inviting, exuding an old-world charm that subtly echoed through the modern decor. The rustic yet contemporary setting provided a comfortable and intimate environment for a leisurely meal. Our service was impeccable from the moment we were seated. The waitress who attended to us, whose name was Val, was an epitome of professionalism and courtesy. With poise and efficiency, Val took our orders with an attentive ear to our preferences, displaying an admirable balance of attentiveness without encroaching upon our dining experience. It was clear from her demeanor that she was well-versed in the menu, offering insightful recommendations when necessary. For my friend, who exhibited a taste for the finer aspects of Italian cuisine, a portion of câpres was ordered. The câpres arrived promptly and was presented with the grace one would expect from a fine dining establishment. The dish was served with precision, each caper displaying a vibrant hue and a distinct burst of flavor that only the most carefully sourced ingredients could provide. The capers were fresh, briny, and offered a delightful tang that paired beautifully with the other elements of the meal. As for myself, I opted for the simplest of selections—a glass of water. While such a choice may seem unassuming, it was, in its own way, indicative of the restaurant's commitment to perfection in all aspects of dining. The water was crisp and served at an ideal temperature, showcasing the establishment’s attention to detail even in the most modest of orders. Val, our waitress, contributed greatly to this experience with her impeccable service, attentiveness, and knowledge of the menu. Danny serves great food and the service is also excellent. It's also very good value for money. Definitely worth a visit.

I just completed all you can eat Taco Tuesday at Slam Tacos and all I can say is wow. Every Taco more delicious than the last. We had a total of 14 tacos each and they were all sensational. My favourite was the Confit Chicken and Tuna (Bonito) Tacos and my partner had as many Roasted Pork Tacos he could get his hands on 😋 I would highly recommend Slam Tacos (Taco Tuesday or otherwise) to anyone looking for a delicious and chill night out. The team at Slam Tacos also really looked after my allergies, providing an alternate option. I will definitely be returning soon with my gals pals for another Taco Tuesday. I believe the menu changes around, so if you like what you see in the menu I'd recommend booking soon. Also make sure to book via their Eventbrite link and prepay so Tacos are only £18pp, opposed to £22pp on the door (deal available at time of writing, please double check.)

I had dinner with my brother and it was a fantastic evening. Excellent food, great cosy atmosphere AUTHENTIC Italians running the restaurant so we had a brilliant experience.

We had lunch today, and we never got disappointed. The food was brilliant. We had mixed grill, and it was cooked to perfection as always. I really recommend this restaurant you won't get disappointed.

7 of us enjoyed a lovely evening meal here. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. The mussels are a definite must have - absolutely divine texture, taste and sauce. Would come here again.

We just had the most amazing dinner here - it was so good, I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu! We shared the crab won tong to start, then my friend had the chicken supreme for main, which was succulent and was served with a lovely potato fondant. I had the lamb rump, served medium rare, on a bed of babaganoush, and with a side of an enormous platter of tagine, unctuous with stewed lamb, which I shared with my friend. We didn't really have room for dessert, but with food this good, we didn't want to miss out, and my friend's crumble + ice-cream and my lemon meringue tart didn't disappoint. All washed down with a carafe of the house red, a full-bodied Merlot. Wow! Just wow!! Get there quick before everyone else finds it!

Very disappointed by this restaurant that had been recommended to us. First negative : there is an unavoidable supplement on the main dish The set menu price is listed as £85 but minimum supplement per fish for the main was £52 Second negative : you have to wait about 30 minutes between each course. When you book your table you have no choice for the time, they ask you to come at 7pm sharp and they warn you that they won't keep your table for more than 5 min ! But then they leave you waiting for 30 minutes for the first course and each following course takes another 30 mins to arrive. So when your main course arrives after 3h30min you are obviously not hungry anymore and are not able to enjoy the meal you paid the extra money for… We ended up finishing the meal at 11pm so 4 hours after we arrived. The food was good and the waitress were lovely, but the long waits between each course destroyed the entire experience. We also found it quite inconvenient as a group of five, that most courses came in plates to share. After waiting for so long, we would have appreciated to have one plate each. I don’t recommend this restaurant.

After waiting in anticipation to visit one of the best rated restaurants in Brighton, we were left completely disappointed. I don't understand the hype over such bland food.

We went for the chef’s menu with the wine pairing. Every dish was incredible and all the staff made the night very enjoyable

We had a great meal and the lamb shank which my friend and had was so so good. It just fell off the bone! The service was excellent, which all went to say we had a great lunch out.
