Cosey restaurant with a good range of dishes, ours were well prepared and nicely presented. Complimentary pot of tea at the end of the meal was a pleasant surprise.

Just ordered food from this stupid restaurant slightly after 9pm then been cancelled after 10 minutes of order..... just simple lamb ribs....if we can do it on Saturday around 9 pm .... just go back to your Persian country.... it's a absolutely joke this restaurant.

Very nice restaurant The staff is courteous and respectful I tried grilled fish, salmon with rice, to be honest, it was very beautiful and very delicious. I recommend it 👌🏻 The price is very reasonable I recommend trying

It was one day travel in my off day to Brighton city which I look for a nice food and I got it in Shayan restaurant, which served by Alisha with a standard and amazing service made nice our time

I've had a few Persian meals before but the meal at Shayan was particularly delicious. Nice generous portions and so much flavour, all at our table were left full and very satisfied. The staff were also really nice and welcoming and clearly take their food seriously. Definitely try this place out.

Overpriced for what they serve. Particularly disappointing that a small Ayran of 200ml costs £3.50. Burned berries on the rice didn’t help. Food can be made better with some love.

Hıghly recommended, the quality and flavours of food is outstanding, not to mention the size of portion you get for the price. Definitely will come back regularly.

The other 5 star reviews were right, it is an amazing food experience. We ordered 2 stews/curries and bothe were extremely tasty. Portion size was large and we couldn't finish The service was absolutely on point and made us feel in good hands. I would highly recommend this place

On my first visit to Brighton this place kept coming up as highly recommended in several places so I had to try it. I was skeptical of the reviews but they are spot on. Delicious food, fantastic service, extremely generous portions and shockingly good value for what you pay. I'd give it more stars if I could!

I recently at my birthday visited this wonderful restaurant, and I was truly amazed by the experience. Even though they didn’t know it was my birthday, the staff surprised me with exceptional service and a delightful ambience. The vegetarian dishes were some of the best I've ever had, beautifully presented and incredibly flavorful. Highly recommended for a memorable dining experience!

Although the interior is not particularly flashy the food and service make up for this. the food is very reasonably priced and absolutely delicious with huge portions. The service was fast, and our waiter was lovely. after asking how the turkish coffee was made he invited us to a toast and assured us the restaurant was to be made our home while we visited. This felt very genuine and made our experience even better. There was plenty of delicious sounding vegetarian options and the okra is definitely something i would recommend! We will visit again!

They celebrated my birthday and the owner went out of his way to even gift me sugar cane 😭🫶🏻 He went above and beyond to go get fruits for my cake and even sang for me in farsi ❤️ Im so happy to come eat here the food is delicious and the vibes are amazing ❤️ 10000000/10 love u Shayan 🫶🏻

What an incredible experience! My family and I went for my sister-in-law’s birthday lunch and the food was amazing, everything was well seasoned and not missing a thing, cannot fault it. The service was incredible, super attentive and kind staff and manager, couldn’t have picked a better place to eat and have tea! Will definitely be visiting again :) 10/10

I came to Brighton for a family reunion. And we came across Shayan through google and my brother actually told me that the owners are very nice people and they are members at his gym. So we all decided to come here. Honestly from all my heart i say this i couldn’t say what was more beautiful and amazing, the service or the food. I never knew that both could come hand in hand and synchronize with each other so effortlessly. The most generous and hospitable people i ever came across and some of the best persian food i had my entire life. Thank you so much Yahya and Fatemeh, i will always visit your beautiful restaurant and beautiful souls. And what you did for my wives birthday just made us speechless, honestly. Excellent little Persian restaurant with quite a large menu and friendly staff. Also, very reasonably priced for comparatively large portions.

Iranian food is best eaten at home cooked by a proper Iranian chef. Shayan restaurant is the closest you get to this experience and in some cases even better. The owner Yahya cooks the food which says alot about the restaurant. Yahya is a perfectionist and you will see and taste it when trying food from his place. Enjoy your experiences and as we Iranians say noosh e jan.

We wanted to have dinner at the Greek restaurant across the road, luckily it was full, so we ended up in Shayan. Food: just exceptional ! Home cooked, fresh ingredients...lamb was simply melting in your mouth. Amazing and unique flavors not tried before anywhere else. Host friendly and kind, very helpful with suggestions on dishes. Speechless! This was my first time ever eating Persian cuisine. I went with my parents whom were recommended this restaurant. First of all, the owner and staff are extremely warm, open-hearted and wholesome people, who are very welcoming! The menu has a wide variety to choose from, so everyone can find something for themselves. The food is amazing to say the least. I ordered a mix of grilled meats and each had different seasoning and way if preparation. All the elements of the dishes are amazing - from sides, throught the naan breads, rice, to the salads and sauces. PS. The rice is super fluffy and the little berries and a zingy flavouring. The tea is presented beautifully and you can choose your own additions for flavour. Would highly recommend to anyone! Once again - thank you so much to the owner for outstanding food service and care ❤️

10/10 experience !!!! Food was absolutely extra ordinary. The host kept us entertained and kept bringing all the goodies. The tea experience was amazing. Got complimentary baklavas ! Can’t recommend enough! Prawn starter was the best prawns I ever tasted! Mixed grill I had for mains was out of the world too ! Naan bread was freshly made in tandoori oven and came to the table steaming hot ! No better place to spend money and taste amazing food ❤️

A small shop , but with excellent food . Very good Persian food . Highly recommended . The only negative is the shop is very small , and can’t accommodate very large groups .

Upon a friend's recommendation, I tried Persian cuisine and this place for the first time, and I must say, I'm thoroughly satisfied. The flavors were pleasing to all palates, and what's even better is the excellent value for money. Both taste and portion sizes are impressive. While I can't speak to how authentic it is, it's a great place to start if you've never had Persian food before. The waitstaff was also exceptionally friendly.

This restaurant is tremendous, the waiters are friendly and server food cleanly, it is one of the most quietest restaurants on its road but I would describe this restaurant as a hidden jewel. There is a dish called Jo Jo Kebab and it is chicken and that dish is outstanding, and in terms of COVID-19 this is a very good restaurant to visit. I strongly recommend this restaurant to anyone
