The best restaurants serving Default food in Wendover Aylesbury Vale South East

I do like to stop and support roadside eateries when I can. Not necessarily healthy but what the hell, on occasions why not. The small of frying onions activates the taste buds and along with a 'bucket' of black coffee the burgers 'hit the spot!'

What a fantastic team! No2 Pound Street recently helped us by creating the wedding cake of cheese we dreamed about! From beginning to end, Justin and the rest of the team offered support, guidance and advice to help bring our beautiful wedding cake to life. One of the best pints of Neck Oil I've ever had. Great to have a refreshing pint after a hot day on the Ridgeway.

Moved to nearby village last year and saw recommendation for this place, so visited to check it out as I love fish and chips. Freshly fried fish and chips; large cod is really large! Lovely mushy peas too! Friendly service on top of the lovely food. I don’t go anywhere else now.

A regular place for us to visit if we are in the area because this is the best Tapas in Bucks by far !! Great food and the manager Andy and his staff are so pleasant and accommodating.

I met my friend for lunch for the second time at Lady Grey and yet again we had a great time. The food was lovely ( sandwiches chosen ) and we had drinks of course. On arrival a glass of water was given ( hot day and I’m sure I was bright red)!!!

We came across this little gem when out for a walk in Wendover. Although the outside seating allocation was full due to the lovely weather, we easily found a spot inside. We both ordered the large breakfast, which arrived promptly. For the price, you got a very good portion. The black pudding was very tasty, the hash browns were perfectly crispy, the bacon was meaty with a nice margin of fat for flavour; also, perfectly cooked eggs, well cooked sausages etc. The food was piping hot too. Our only criticism would be the use of semi-skimmed milk. Recent studies show that full-fat dairy products are protective against diabetes, obesity and heart disease. Large numbers of people and cafes are switching back to whole milk. I recommend you use whole milk too for health and flavour reasons, as it makes coffee etc. taste much creamier and you need less of it!

All 7 Wendover pubs took part in a Pub Crawl over the 3 days of the August Bank Holiday. So many people discovered the charm and friendly atmosphere of this little gem in the High Street. Thanks for a great weekend and look forward to visiting again soon.

Food is decent, wine is expensive when compared to similar establishments. Good selection of cocktails and beers. The real ales are very well kept and the bar staff were very efficient and polite. What let's the place down a little is the service in the restaurant, it seemed to disappear after 9.30 pm...... So maybe we were just unlucky, or you should try to eat very early in the evening.

Lovely country style pub. Many thanks to our very friendly and helpful server, Helen. It's a shame that HS2 are having an effect on their business with road closures and power supply.
