The best restaurants serving Default food in Kendal Highgate South Lakeland North West

The cafe is nice, as are the hot chocolates but the staff are rude, unfriendly and not welcoming. Speak to you like you’re an idiot, don’t explain the menu and ruined the visit. Wouldn’t return.

Amazing food, good beers and an excellent location. Really enjoyed the sirloin it was superb. My partner enjoyed the cajun chicken and several pints of Beavertowns Nexk oil. Will be back

The Brexit sinking ship forced me to find solace in the grog, only to end up in a vegan restaurant, might as well have fed me to a tribe of cannibals. In all seriousness though the remainders are worse than chain smokers, who at least smoke outside and do not prop up the bar talking about the bygone days of EU compliant sausages ;)

Food and service were great and at £7.50 it was a bargain..the Pasta dishes were lovely

Best way I can explain this meal is it was like dish water. Worst chinese ive had. Singapore chow mein was soggy and tasteless. Hoisin sauce tasted like vinegar. Prawn crackers were stale. And when I got home my curry sauce wasnt in there. Terrible.

Great Fish and chips freshly cooked. Friendly service. Take away and pre order. Pre pandemic eat in? Good pricing.

From start to finish the staff were welcoming, it was a relaxed atmosphere and the food was delicious. So glad we chose here and not elsewhere, will definitely come back.

I've loved hitting up Wilfs for breakfast over the years—the food and service are always top-notch! But seriously, those plates are way too small for their epic portions. Unfortunately, I'm now hesitant to go back because of those parking hassles. Just like someone mentioned before, I paid the £3 but got no receipt, and then out of nowhere, I got slapped with a £100 parking fine! No clue why that happened, so I think I’ll be skipping Wilfs for a while to avoid getting scammed again!

Simple and tasty .Probably the oldest pizza take away in Kendal.Amazing Garlic bread and cheese ,good quality doner and burgers.I like this place.

Stayed overnight with breakfast. Fifteen minute walk downhill into Kendal where we attended a gig. Location just the job and an £8 taxi on return at night was good value. Room was spacious clean and a king-size bed was great. The room was in a separate building directly at the rear of the premises so absolutely no noise. Great set up. Quality cask ales served when we got back which finished the night off grand. Breakfast was just what the doctor ordered and when we asked for well done bacon, that was exactly what we got. Constant smell of the wood burner in the bar area suits us but someone in the bar was moaning. Overall great value and will come again when the next gig is identified.
