The best restaurants serving Default food in Weaste and Seedley Salford North West

This is a place we've used in other parts of Manchester, but the first visit here. It really is a smashing place right by the canal and in the heart of the action. As with the others, it has a brilliant range of beers brewed by their own brewery, and they serve very well. The area around it has developed beyond recognition and it was good in the winter so I imagine it would be even better in the summer.

We visited here one evening after watching the cricket at Old Trafford. We were only staying for a drink or two but we realised they did food too. My husband had the kebab (it comes on naan bread not pitta) and our friend and myself had the steak frites. I really want to say this was great, but my steak was absolutely AWFUL. Our friends was much better. I should really have sent it back, but you know when you think it might just be the one end? It was so chewy and I couldn't cut it up, you could see the white bits of sinew in it and I couldn't eat it. I did tell the guy who came to clear the plates and he said "sorry about that" and that he'd tell the chef, but that was it. We'd already paid for it. Hubby's kebab was good and our friends steak. I was just unlucky I guess but I can't believe the chef didn't spot the bits of gristle and sinew before he cooked it. The beer, however, is excellent and there's a good choice. The nice young lady behind the bar let me try a taste of one before ordering it.

A new bar opposite the university. We went just after lunch on a Wednesday and it was pretty busy with both takeaway food as well as food and drinks on the premises. The bread that we snacked on was gorgeous and the stout - locally brewed - was really good. Can't wait to go again !

Best Chinese I've had in years! Think I ask to put pepper's and more onions. But still beautiful meal!

Tried both the Street Burger and the Jumbo Special from Street Guys, and both were amazing! The Street Burger was tasty, but the Jumbo Special really stood out. The combination of beef and chicken was juicy and flavorful, completely different from the usual. Plus, the burger bun was soft yet sturdy, holding everything together perfectly. Highly recommend both, but if you’re looking for something extra juicy and unique, the Jumbo Special is a must-try!"

I actually only popped in the museum to use the toilet but the smell of the soup in the foyer area was so good I also stopped for a snack. I enjoyed a really nice Leek & Potato soup with a chunk of bread and a pot of tea - all served with a smile by a small group of youngsters. The perfect way to break a 5-mile stroll around Salford and Manchester.

This is truly the best chippy in Salford. Fish chips mushy peas and Irish curry.......delicious

Ordered a milkshake for delivery. Driver finally turned up after 1hr 30 min wait. I had cancelled at that point because the waiting time was ridiculous! Driver explained they made the milkshake and forgot about it so it had been sitting on the side for that whole time, but then tried to deliver that to me? Joke.
