Amazing experience! The service was absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and professional. The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Everything was well-organized, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Special thanks to Bethany for going above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend and will definitely be back again!

Called in on Thursday for some tea, ended up staying for the quiz. What a fab night, the atmosphere was buzzing with a very busy pub. my partner and i had ribeye steak chips and pepper sauce, it was very good. See you next Thursday

Ordered fish and chips, received about 7 (yes literally) chips. Won't go back. Scam.

Had to wait an hour for food and Possibly the worst steak I have ever had and my wife's lamb kofta flatbread was dry as a bone and virtually inedible. I asked for mustard and was told that they don't have it 🤣 The guys at the bar were charming, which sadly is the only positive I can give it.

Feel bad leaving a negative review as the staff were really nice and clearly work hard. However we went here for a few drinks after work on Friday (we work in the hospital across the road). We witnessed 2 fights and the police had to be called. People were openly taking and selling coke in the toilets. A drunk guy threatened to punch my female friend because she wouldn’t give him a cigarette (she doesn’t even smoke). It’s a bit like a human zoo which is fascinating for a bit but then gets pretty scary. I won’t exactly be rushing back.

Overall the Christmas dinner was really nice felt like we were rushed around as we had to wait ages for the dessert but otherwise it was good but we feel like we had to force ourselves to eat the dessert fast

Can get a bit rowdy when football is on but generally a decent spot for a good pub lunch. varied menu, loads of indoor and outdoor seating and recently renovated!

The staff are very friendly especially Allen Jackson is extremely helpful and considerate, and they all have a charming manner.

Our football team come in here on Sundays after our matches. Always plenty of space to accommodate us, prices are reasonable and everywhere is clean. Nice touch from Anna who remembers our drink orders.

Absolutey awful food, awful service would not recommend a visit to the toilets truly despicable and unhygienic. Food cold. Food everywhere. Floors clearly hadn't been cleaned. Table dirty and sticky. Wouldn't feed to a stray dog. Best thing was leaving. Truly an awful establishment

This is such a lovely place,all staff are friendly and welcoming,I’ve been staying in accommodation nearby and coming here between visiting hours at the Salford Royal,I’ve been made to feel safe and welcome,food,drinks and service are great and I can say with 100% honesty that the mixed grill I had was THE best I have EVER had,so thank you to all the team,your definitely my “local” whilst away from my hometown,thank you guys….Heather xxx

I recently visited the Royal Sovereign for lunch with two other people. I have visited several times and have never been disappointed with the menu choice or quality of the food. A member of staff Tom made us most welcome on our arrival and took us to the table we had booked. He quickly took our drinks orders and obtained a menu for one of our party who has a gluten free diet. He returned shortly afterwards and took our order. The food came and was piping hot and cooked fresh. Tom returned to check we were happy with the food. The staff were busy at the time but no issues with delays. We will be back. Well done

Food menu varied and quite inexpensive, can use blue light card for discount. Crowd can be a little noisy but great on a quite night or afternoon. Parking free for customers, you now have to pur Reg in once inside pub. Pool and games available and children permitted. Outside eating and drinking. Today our food was unfortunately not good at all and missed items, and will be giving it a miss in the future. Error wqs corrected but by time missed items arrived food cold. Young lad waiting on tablets brilliant customer service.

Me and my partner came for food before the England came started. The pub was busy but we were served our food and drinks without delay. The food was delicious. A very special mention to the staff. Even though they were running around due to buisness levels, they were smiling and very polite throughout. A great credit to the pub. After recently buying a house in the area, we look forward to going back again in the near future. Thank you.

Not been in since the pub has been refurbished, I was pleasantly surprised when I went in after work with a few friends for a drink and food.. food was lovely and great value for money. Staff really friendly and attentive couldn’t ask for more especially as one in our party had food allergies. Atmosphere was great and the outside are look really well done, plenty of comfortable seating inside and out.. outside area will be great on a warm day plenty of umbrellas for shade if you don’t want to sit in the sun… definitely would recommend to family and friends.

Standard pub fare! It is great to watch sports....but the system for serving customers is very bad, no order to who gets served so ends up with a lot of queue jumping which is frustrating lots of staff behind the bar, hardly any serving customers just get ignored not even acknowledged when you approach the bar.....very poor customer service!!

There are not many pubs around so this is our goto place. But that doesn't mean that this in any way less. Great food, staff and obviously drinks. Great atmosphere especially match days.

Went in on Saturday evening, it was quite late and not very busy. Bouncers were friendly when I entered and the bar staff were very nice.

Not sure what’s gone on in this place. Plenty of staff walking in round , sometimes not doing much to be fair and I’ve worked in bars and pubs so I can tell you that your either over staffed or you have lazy staff. The one thing that is mind boggling about this place is queuing for service! What happened to going to the bar and just being served by 2 people stood behind the bar at a single pay point when there are several along the bar? It’s the most backwards way of serving I walked out yesterday as there was a line to get served, a line! There shouldn’t be a line in a pub, yes 3 deep at the bar when it’s busy I get it but a line in nonsense, no other pub operates in this fashion. Get your staff to be on the bar and serve people as they walk in or where they go to the bar and stop this queuing malarkey! Whoever the manager is needs to ask themselves a few questions if the queue was too the main entrance on Lancaster Road how many stay did you have on after 6pm and question what were they doing when people wanted serving, we left with 6 other people and to be honest I will not be returning if you have to queue up for a pint! I want to go to any part of the bar as is the norm and for the member or staff working to acknowledge me and serve me where I’m stood. You don’t get this service in any other pub, I don’t know why your employing this trait.

There’s not many people at the bar and it’s taking over 1.5 hours for our online drinks to come. A little warning would have been nice we would have just ordered at the bar. Feels abit ridiculous, perhaps it’s just a joke

I'm giving one star because someone there decided not to extend their TV licence and we won't be able to watch Undisputed tournament. I was looking forward to this night for months and RS ruined our family group's plans last minute. This is so stupid and unjustifiable that I want the owner to know their shortsighted decision has disappointed me in a long run as I really liked going there

Steak & Salad definitely wasn't fresh, soggy sald and it was obviously it wasn't fresh but Still served, asked to swap for chips, even the bar staff we're embarrassed,got cold soggy chips! Thought it would be nice to meet some old friends and go for some Sunday dinner yet that was to a let down. We ordered food together on two separate payments, I ordered the beef roast that looked like the end of the fat part and the rest of the meal was stodgy. After my friends meal came out half hour later we went for a refund due to this situation yet the manager went to the back and never returned to myself to deal with the situation.

Closest pub to Salford Royal hospital. Typical flaming grill pub with all the regular menu. The boneless chicken wings with Jack Daniel dip is really good. Free car park but have to punch in license plate at the pub entrance.

One person at the table was served almost immediately. The rest of us sat waiting for half an hour. At which point someone told us out order was no longer available. Waited another 20 mins before cancelling. Don't waste your time. Place is a dump.

Came in to eat between hospital appointments. The flatbread was delicious. We will definitely have a meal here again.

My wife and I called in yesterday afternoon Thursday 18th April 2024 it was our first time here all the staff were amazing and helpful the restaurant/ Pub was absolutely spotless and the food and service was wonderful thank you very much to all concerned 5 Stars from us ..

Called in for an impromptu bite to eat for a birthday. Bar was busier than expected for a Tuesday which added to the atmosphere. Food was good with great service. Mollie was particularly attentive both on the bar and serving at the tables. Nothing was too much trouble. Be back soon.

Terrible selection of alcohol, only bitter which was is John Smiths which I would not serve to a dog. The food was half right, but the steps at the side of the pub to get in were a nightmare for a disabled person like myself!I did not walk around to the front of the pub and struggled up the stairs as all we wanted to do was get inside as the rain was terrible. I can't imagine that the place actually has any regulars as why anybody would want to make this place thier pub of choice is beyond my grasp! All in all this place is soulless, has no atmosphere. The only reason I would venture into this place again would be to make a sharp exit! Disabled friendly not! My advice to anybody is give this place a miss!!!

A pub that doesn't serve any real ale or proper beer - larger, John Smith's or Guinness. When I asked I was told they had one bottle of beer left, it was a non-alcoholic Old Speckled Hen. Staff were disinterested and the venue lacked atmosphere.

Turned up with wife and mother in law for some lunch after visiting salford royal infirmary all tables had reserved boards on them, and rest were drinkers.I asked if any spare tables to barmaid with glasses,"doesn't look like it sorry" so we turned round and walked out.Shouldnt be able to reserve on a Saturday.

Just like to say how much we like this place. Comfortable and very social Waitress mandy us so friendly and efficient in her job. This use to be a really nice place. Unsure if the management have changed, but after the refurbishment I tried this place twice. And both times the service was really bad. I definitely do not recommend

Came for dinner this evening only to be told at 2040 the kitchen had closed early due to too many orders. This was our first time visiting our local pub and will not be back. This appears to be a regular problem - either hire more staff or advertise an earlier closing time for your kitchen, it’s not difficult!

Served by Sam & Nina, it was a pleasure, lovely staff and lovely food, we started with drinks and had brunch, lovely ladies who gave excellent service
