Had to get a code to use the toilet. Code is small on receipt and the lock is not very big, so if you have an issue with your hands or eyes, I know it's easy to ask for help, but do you want to be chasing staff for help when you need to use the facilities.

No Sausage baps .. ok, will have toast, no toast ? This on a Saturday lunch time ? Just ridiculous !

Come here regularly with family. Staff are friendly and accommodating, helpful and kind. Brilliant atmosphere l.

Great service always given and atmosphere, but is a shame that they close nearly half the tables at 4pm to clean when they don't close until 6pm , noticed this a few times when we come in on a Saturday

Love Costa, serving lots of choices, drinks & hot & cold, nice friendly atmosphere.

Went in for a coffee. Slow service, rude staff in particular the manager. Constantly using bad language in front of customers when talking to staff. Told a friend of mine who used to work there. She informed me that when staff use mops to clean the toilets or floor areas, they then clean those mop heads in the dishwasher. The same dishwasher they wash cups and cutlery in. This is done with the managers blessing and knowledge. How can this be allowed? This franchise gets away with it because the manager has the environmental health, and there own auditor in her pocket. Apparently the senior management, including a man called Jim Smith has been told about but has taken no action. This action must breach so many health and safety codes and given the lethargy around this, it is more likely than not, that it is still happening. I for one will never use this store again for fear of being contaminated by someone else’s bodily fluids.

Food and drinks are always great, but unfortunately the manager hired a team of snails. Slowest Costa I've ever been to, people were walking out they'd been queuing so long and it wasn't very busy

Its comfortable and staff give good hospitality and are fantastic . My grandson loves it

There is one lady called sarah the one who has tatoos and wearing glasses . Shes on training . While i was ordering she was really not respectfull and shouting at me for no reason ,and she was giving me a horroble face for no reason . And she gave me on perpose change . Not notes . The other staff was really nice people and freindly but this lady sarah not good with custermers at all . !!!

Very nice coffee you can't beat a Costa Coffee good price too. Cakes are delicious !

As far as costa coffee(cost a bomb) goes its a very nice cafe. the staff are friendly and quick service. there is not much to say.

It's a nice cozy Costa. The staff is very nice. They always have a smile on their faces unlike some other costas I have been to.

The server was miserable no welcome felt like she didnt want to be at work.

Well this has to be the worst Costa in the Uk! I was served by a girl with blue hair that completely ignored me when it was my turn to be served as she went chatting to another member of staff a male with ginger hair and glasses. After their chat the girl served me (she had no manners). The ginger lad was moving bins then proceeded to handle food (no hand washing first) then when I mentioned this he made our drinks (still no hand washing) and slammed my drink down on the counter. Extremely rude with dirty hygiene issues. Toilets were filthy also. Another member of staff walked passed me and told me the ginger lad was called Joe? Basic Hygiene training and customer service is definitely required here.

Same taste as every other Costa. Great staff and a good atmosphere, a good stop on the weekly shop

Popped in here to take advantage of my free Birthday cake treat and free drink reward I've had for months. A lovely warm atmosphere greeted me which was made even more pleasant when I was served by ' Ginger Joe' 🌝 What a lovely, polite young man he is, a credit to Costa ! Thank you again Joe, my carrot & walnut cake and 'bucket cup ' of hot choc were delicious.

Great little coffee house. Seating has Chairs, sofas & stools to choose from. Friendly staff Clean & cheerful.

For months they have stopped serving hot food and even hot drinks up to 45 minutes before closing time of 7.00pm, they have turned people away as everything has been washed by 6.15 - 6.25. Method to the staffs madness obviously as now it closes at 6.00pm, maybe because it shows lack of customers between the last hour of 6 and 7. I for one go there between 5.30 and 7 several times a week for coffee and sandwich and meet up with friends. Unfortunately 5.30 to 6.00pm is not long enough as they are now stopping serving hot food at 5.30, plus who wants to be rushed out the door. Will have to venture out to somewhere else.

Lovely friendly, welcoming staff. My daughter had bacon mac n cheese and said it was delicious. As was her vanilla hot chocolate. My coffee was perfect and the orange cake I got was lovely and fresh, it was so tasty to.

Called in the walkden branch today, boxing day only to be served by the rudeist person working that day. It was very obvious they didn't want to be at work and their customer service was almost aggressive. I did stand up for myself and report to the duty manager but didn't think it was taken seriously. I didn't call in to have my day ruined but they did managed to do this, not sure I will go to that branch again unless they improve their customer service.

The atmosphere was ok, the decor is a bit grey and sterile, it doesn't feel like a cosy coffee shop you want to sit in for too long.

Was an hectic store, 2 girls preparing drinks, 1 on till & a supervisor back & forth. Saw 1 of the 'baristas' scold herself with boiling steam & the supervisor did not rush her to 1st aid to cool down. This should have been done straight away, this has been on my mind all day.

Placed a click and collect order today, still had to queue for ages, another server finally appeared and tells me click and collect orders are by the door as you walk in and my drink was there waiting for me. Absolutely no signage to indicate this. Plus no supervision on the counter in question so anyone could have taken my drink, or done something to it.

Re-visit: (Sunday 25th September 9:10am) Another 5 star score! Two ladies serving this morning, very friendly service. Coffee on point, AND THE HORRIBLE SCREENS HAVE BEEN TAKEN AWAY 🥳🍾🎉 previous visit: I visited here on Sunday morning around 9:30am, there were to ‘lads’ serving both were very friendly and efficient. Admittedly the store was very quiet! But I have visited several times before and the score would be very similar each visit, even during busy periods. Coffee was nice and steaming hot. I also asked for a butter croissant 🥐 which I was asked if I wanted it warmed, I did because I prefer them warm. I was then asked if I wanted butter. I like being offered the warming and the butter which you don’t always get in other branches! This is one of the better examples of the Costa brand that I visit! The only issue I’ve ever had was I sat “outside” (which isn’t outside as the branch is in a shopping centre) and it was a little unpleasant due to car fumes. Possibly issues with the car park extractors that day perhaps! 5 stars for Costa Walkden

I go to Costa Coffee very often and I used to seriously like this branch, it always had a nice atmosphere and really nice staff.........I say 'used to' as I'm not sure what's happened but some of the staff are incredibly rude (especially one young man, I noticed his name badge too). I realise this is a busy branch but the concept of "customer service' shouldn't be ignored surely? I would have given it a worse rating but there are some staff members there who do know how to treat customers. Management, this branch definitely needs improvement with the staff attitudes and customer service.

Nice place to unwind with great coffee. Staff are great too, always pleasant + helpful. Best when not too busy so can hear the conversation your part of. Bit expensive but hey, its a treat and doesnt disappoint !!!

Good staff apart from one girl called Toyah. spent most of her time talking to customers (one was her mother) whilst staff rushed off their feet. Asked if she was going to go and help her colleagues to which she replied I’m leaving this **** hole soon can’t be *****…nice. Her mother then told me to mind my own business the Apple doesn’t fall to far from the tree. Thank you for the nice staff who were polite and helpful. Your organisation is better off without this vile creature.

Enjoyed my iced latte just what I needed

No problem with the Baristas, they were courteous and efficient. But other members of staff were doing nothing. The table next to mine had dirty used cups on it for a full hour and three quarters. Nobody clearing and cleaning

Nicely situated on the ground floor of Walkden shopping centre and underneath a 24 hour Tesco supermarket. It's my nearest Costa and it's always very clean and service is top rate. My own gripe is that I would like a larger range of healthy food/snacks to go with my drink of the day.

As a frequent visitor to this coffee shop with my Husband, friends or family. The Walkden branch has taken on a few new staff. However they all do not know how to make a decent cup of coffee, latte or cappuccino. Need more training on the coffee machine I'm afraid. He may be polite, tall, dark and handsome, but he cannot make a simple coffee. Two weeks on the trot and a waste of my money.

I went in for a macky d. Chocolate coffee. And they didn't know how to make it. Truly shocking!

The worst Costa I’ve ever been in! The staff were polite but so slow, and almost every table was covered in rubbish. It wasn’t even busy so no excuse. Just grubby in general and not a nice place to be.

Ordered 2 coffees-they spilled half and filled it with more milk, it was lukewarm at best, the mugs were dirty and one of the coffees had literal oil patches on top because the milk used was so old it separated.

If you want to waste half a day for a your coffee , just go there...worst service ever , it's takes 20 to 30min for the line to move , and that's because they prioritise Uber eat customers over the customers in the shop. Kids working there not knowing what they're doing ....shame for the management not doing anything about it....I don't care anyway cause I'm never buying a thing there

First visit to this location. I was in Walkden to see a physiotherapist and went for a coffee afterwards. Pleasant atmosphere and a popular place, with friendly staff. Usual coffees and snacks you find in other costa venues. A flat white and a Tuna melt and I headed home

Have I always enjoyed my relaxing time

Long, very, very, very long. Having finally placed my order, (after watching a tidy up behind the counter first despite being stood in a queue of two for over five minutes but not ten), I got to wait in the waiting area for another interminable period of time while a third member of the team went outside to do a bit of tidying. I know it's the coffee shop of the hand crafted drink, but waiting what felt like half a lifetime for a take away cooler when the queue isn't outside the door is off putting to say the least. I think this Costa is probably the slowest one I have ever been in. To be fair, the cooler was nice though.

Walked out after queing 15 mins and not moving. Deliveroo and Uber eats jump the que so nobody gets served. Either hire more staff or serve the customers the shop first.

Pretty standard Costa, seem to be a bit slow always seems to be a long queue.
