Cheap and cheerful. Can't go wrong with roast. Good to see they have activities for family and kids too

Updated review. Barley Farm has totally returned to outstanding form after a dodgy experience that put me off a couple of years ago. Today, the carvery was amazing quality, and the place was packed at 3 pm, so the good folk of Salford obviously agree. The service was always really good, to be fair, and was today, too. I feel completely happy about putting this place back at the top of my carvery list in Salford.

Batley Farm is a family favourite and we've been coming here for years. The carvery is outstanding every time. We've had food fron the normal menu lots of time too which is always great. Staff are always friendly and very helpful. We will keep returning!

I think food would've been palatable (Carvery) were it nice and hot. I really didn't enjoy my meal at all! Didn't eat much of it in the end. Staff were very apologetic and we're always polite from the moment I walked in so ★★. I was there yesterday 20th May, 2022 in the evening. I opted for the Carvery Roast beef & all the trimmings. The vegetables were tired and unappealing though I still thought they'd taste nice. I was wrong! I ended up eating just the mash and roast beef and washed them down with a nice cup of tea. The member of staff that served me were ever so polite, I mean really so, quite refreshing! I feel bad giving a poor review because they were so good but I tell only my truth. More detail.↑↑

Went here for a Sunday carvery. Paid 12.99 for a standard plate and 14.99 for a large. If we had visited through the week, the exact same portions would be 8.99 and 10.99 - nowt like a good bit of inflation when they know it's gonna be busier. My advice - don't bother with the large plate, just put a bit more on your standard if you need to. Not worth paying extra for an extra yorkie pudding. (that's all I could see that you got extra). The food was OK - the roast potatoes were stale and not really crispy and the stuffing wasn't all that either - it seems to have just been made with hot water and not cooked in the oven. Would I visit again? No. Was I impressed with any part of our meal? No. Almost felt like it was a case of in, feed, out. Didn't bother looking at any desserts - just wanted to leave.

Came on Monday night had a steak and curry perfect as always served by Yvonne she always happy to help nothing to much. Also served at bar by gee hes a star

Barley farm staff are amazing we went to be fair 8 weeks ago but our experience was amazing. Floor manager I think a girl in her 30 s amazing kept coming back to our family .my son n daughter n baby mum n dad asking is everything OK. Amazing staff .my own worry is good staff don't stay fir buttons so they will have a fast tirn around of staff .withing the green king group .so making it so hard on a manager trying to make staff stay x Al moville

Booked here recently as we had a funeral nearby.We spoke to Ashlee about sandwiches and tea ,coffee for people and didn't have a proper number . Ashlee gave me the telephone number and said we can sort everything for you. I can only say every member of staff on the day were fantastic and checked everything was ok throughout the day ,along with the room they set aside they really did a great job.We also had the carvery on our fist visit and it was great at a great price.Thanks Ashlee and the rest of the team.

This is one of a chain. There is a menu with table service or one can opt for the carvery. When we went, the veg was fresh and hot. I had the beef which was excellent. The staff are attention helpful. As with other companies this place offers very good value for money.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Kay looked after me, so thanks to her. The carvery lunch is good value, plentiful, with a wide range of choice of vegetables. We come to the 'Farms' in the area frequently, which speaks for itself. Dining outside at breakfast time or lunch is always well catered for, and especially enjoyable in the Summer.

First time here I had an a spare hour in the morning as I was in the area. I had the Full English & unlimited coffee just under £11, great value. Food was good, huge pub must be busy in general. I served by Yvonne who was very helpful and friendly. I will be back. 😊👍

Absolutely disgusting service,missing stuff on my order and User driver absolutely useless wheb i enquired where the other stuff was and when I rang no interest in helping out or trying to fix my missing items like 3 large cake,2 bottles of coke. Do not order on line or go this pathetic place to eat as I got as much food as a mouse could eat.

I don't what it is with this place last week a got a 3 meat carvery and it was amazing all the meats was tender and the mash was really creamy with cheese where as today the meat was dry and the mash was lumpy

Awful experience. Place was filthy. Staff continously asked if food was okay to the point you couldn't enjoy the food as you were being constantly interrupted. Ordered a steak medium rare came well done. Ordered a sundae and it had hair in it, was appalling complained to manager and they refunded our food, this refund was not proccessed and had to be chased up. Was overall an appalling experience.

1st time here today for Carvery absolutely lovely all staff all very pleasant and a lovely Team Leader named Caiden even went to the kitchen to freshly make me Gluten free gravy. Will definitely be returning..... Price very reasonable.

We had a great time at the Barley Farm, food was excellent and waitress Kay was very friendly.

The chicken scherer is very small, not even enough for a child and very disgusting.

The Carvery was really good and the place is nice. Unfortunately when the Rugby is on parking is hard work as all the supporters use the restaurant car park. We was also shocked as we bought a bottle of wine but was told we couldn’t have the Bottle or Glasses because of the supporters. I’d basically stay clear when the match is on but other than that the staff were really good and the food was great.
