Overall nice pub and nice atmosphere, good prices for drinks, the staff where freindly however the decor is a little outdated, the dart board is ran down to the points where 1/3 darts at least would fall out the board with it being a different dart each time, pool table stained and items unavailable on the menu.

Great lil pub always a friendly atmosphere always great music (big plus 👍 , the food is always really nice and served with a smile and the staff are always nice and friendly , and the location is beautiful aswel , over all a really really nice place very welcoming atmosphere , I enjoy calling there all the time and never disappointed

We only had drinks sorry but staff lovely but the place is so rundown I thought it was shut from outside no kerb appeal full of weeds no proper directions to car park needs a face-lift maybe the hotel inspector should vist . plants dying in pots but could be so lovely as on the canal . But not for me not the staffs fault it could be made lovely couldn't eat there as need lovely ambience this place has none sorry

Such a beautiful place beside the river to get a pint with friends or family. I have share such lovely conversations with some friends and couple of pints, we really enjoyed it, the atmosphere is great!!

Arrived when it was not busy, didn't have any fish. Ordered the steak,had to wait 3/4 hrs for our food. When it arrived it was mediocre at best. Very disappointing

Went here last night (13/6/24) and encountered the most ignorant girl behind the bar. Very, very poor service. Will not be back!

Decent place overall! Excellent outside area and spacious interior. Good prices, albeit the food is a bit average. The pub quiz is really bad, every round is some awkward gimmick which doesn't work, you can't hear the announcer and they have to come around table to table to repeat questions and there's no music round!! They also really really need to sort out the mens toilets as they are vile and really detracts from the rest of the place. Despite this the music and vibe is always really good, solid selection of drinks and the staff are nice so it is worth a visit overall I'd say!

Booked a table on the app and received a confirmation text the day before. Arrived for 1230 on Tuesday 28th, paid for parking and then found out the kitchen was closed. We had driven from Selby to meet family, a 60 mile drive, taking an hour and a half. We received no cancellation phone call, no apology, nothing. Terrible service! Luckily we were able to enjoy a lovely meal at The Slug and Lettuce and won’t bother with this pub again.

It is what it is... Student hotspot so adjust expectations accordingly. We came in a group (booked ahead) and there was only one or two people on the bar with a queue of 30 or so people. They were very friendly still so credit to them, but the wait was very long and the food pretty basic. They warned us it would take a while to arrive and we were fine to wait, but nothing special when it came. Left straight after. Might be worth then matching staffing levels to bookings and when good weather is forecast.

Came in for a pint. Love the music love the atmosphere. person behind the bar in a brazil shirt, moody, didn’t care and was slamming down the card machines and throwing bottle caps. Slamming the drinks down as well. not someone who should be in hospitality even if they’re had a bad day.

Service was struggling to keep up with such a big crowd as it was sunny and everyone who out and about was drawn to the pub. Great place

Went there on what has probably been the first warm day of 2024 and summer has finally arrived! The place has a great location alongside the river, loads of seating inside and outside. The place was quite packed with people, loads of students enjoying the warm weather and drinks. When I ordered my food, what was to been a house chicken salad, turned into a burger as they had no salad! The food was OK, but not great by any stretch of the imagination and whilst inside was "clean" the outside needed a serious sweeping & clean up (in my opinion) The line to get drinks and food orders was at least 30 people long and only 2 people on the tills doing orders and pouring drinks? A little look at this element of their process by the management, would make the whole experience a lot better. Overall, the atmosphere was great and everyone was enjoying themselves. 😊

Call in at a dinnertime was very quite. On approaching wasnt sure it was open. Looks a bit run down from the outside and wasn't much better inside.

Went for drinks with a couple of friends. Was apprehensive as I’ve heard that it’s not a nice place to go. I was extremely impressed by how friendly and attentive the staff were. Nicole was brilliant with us and made sure we were locked after. Her customer service is excellent, very welcoming with a warm friendly smile. We will definitely be going back there again soon 🙂

I had a great time at the old pint this Saturday out with the lads, the lager was divine and I settled on a burger for my main which was presented in a manner matched only by its taste. Me Kieran and Ben were served by a particularly friendly and kind natured barmaid with blonde pinky hair who made us feel so welcome, only adding to the all too prevalent cheerful atmosphere. A wonderful evening indeed.

Great pub with a nice view of the canal. Food was smashing. Staff were all smiles and the tall one ( Nicole ) was very helpful. Pool table has contactless payments which is brilliant. Will be returning I’m sure

Lovely place with a great atmosphere and surprisingly good food. The staff and service were amazing. There were a few issues during our visit but they were handled incredibly well. This place is also dog friendly and my pup loves it here (everyone was very nice to him which is always nice to see).

Had too wait 30 mins for a drink because i over heard there was only 2 staff put on while a gig was on upstairs shocking

This pub is a lovely place to eat and spend time with friends! I came in last night with my friends was served by Nicole. She was polite and friendly and even helped us decide on what meal we would enjoy best. The music was good and the atmosphere was uplifting. We didnt mind waiting 45 mins for food as the pub was very busy and we were made aware when ordering. Will definitely be back again soon !

Avoid, This place is ran by children with bad attitudes, I was here over the weekend where i would say the customer service leaves a lot to be desired, bar staff are rude, disingenuous and very sarcastic

Beautiful rainy day in a giant venue. Great atmosphere and friendly service with gorgeous look at the River Irwell. We went this time for only drinks. I had a powerful Red bull while my friend went for a cider. The tables however were sticky as if not cleaned properly with leftovers of other customer drinks. Don't be discourage by this low review because we will definetly come back to try the food and experience the musical events.

Came to the pint pot today with a large group of friends and we all ordered food. Even though we ordered separately everything was quick, tasty and hot. There was only one bar staff on (Nicole) at the time but she was on it! Serving us drinks and making sure we had everything we needed! Excellent customer service and food

Friendly pub with very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Cora Jade is a superb bartender who is hardworking and pours a spectacular pint of Guinness. Lovely atmosphere on an evening with live music events and lovely views during the day.

Come here all the time especially for the quiz Very good atmosphere and service especially from Cora who made our time the best it could.

Nice little boozer facing the Adelphi River. Great during the summer, tolerable in the winter. They always play good music and the staff are friendly.

Probably a good pub if you’re only looking to go for drinks but I wouldn’t recommend for food. We waited an hour and a half for our food and when our food came my meal came 20 mins after my partner’s - so in total almost 2 hours waiting for my food. Front of house staff were apologetic and gave us a free pint hence the 2 stars instead of 1 but honestly would recommend to everyone NOT to go here if you were looking for a meal out.

Me and my husband Dave gave another visit to the old pint pot and we were not left disappointed! We opted for the cowboy burger and Hotdog (for my husband) and it was as per delicious. The wait time wasn’t too long and the atmosphere was propelling enough to keep us occupied whilst we waited. Drinks remain at a reasonable price and it’s nice to see the same regular happy faces around. A lovely night altogether and we will sure be back soon!

The word for this pub is embarrassing, not only the fact as soon as we came in we were greeted by nothing but unwelcoming staff, the fact i had to wait whilst two bar maids (brown haired and a blonde) were messing around behind the bar, i waited 25 minutes on a drink and i was the only one waiting at the bar! I asked for a beer that didn’t look to be in the fridge, the bar maid then said she would look, 10 minutes later she came out with a mouthful of food and shook her head rudely, not only did i think she definitely didn’t look she also came out stuffing her face! This isn’t even the worst bit, she got my husband’s drink wrong (no problem) when he politely corrected her she huffed and puffed acting like it was the hardest thing to do, then she drank his wrong drink on shift! We sat and watched her and the other bar made drinking beer and cider their whole shift! The two of them were messing around the whole time talking loudly about inappropriate stories that non of us wanted to be hearing, not only that, we sat on the sofa to the right of the bar and we were surrounded by glasses and empty bottles that non of the girls wanted to clear, there was only 12 other people in the bar! Honestly this by far the worst pub i have ever been to and i will not be coming here again!

Great music venue upstairs ran by a very competent events manager. Would be nice if they got the card machine fixed so you could continue watching your next favourite live band whilst buying a beer rather than playing tag to find out who's going downstairs next to buy them.

We visited the old pint pot this afternoon to find that there was no Sunday menu despite it being on their website. And when we placed our order, a lot of items were sold out. We had to wait an hour for our food to come even though it was not busy. And when the food came, they gave us none of the sauces we had ordered and when asked they brought us tzatziki instead of tartare sauce. Further to this, one of us received an entirely wrong meal and when we complained and asked for the correct meal, we had to wait a further 30 mins to then be told it was out of stock and the staff didn’t offer any alternatives. Then the correct dish was brought to us and then quickly taken away as apparently it wasn’t for us and we still wouldn’t be getting our dish. Very confused, very unpleasant staff, very hungry and very disappointed!

Staff were rude, food was quite miserable even for pub food, for which we waited over an hour to be served cold food with sides missing. A lady asked for a kids menu and the staff huffed at her, said its on the website and walked off so I had to go and get one for her as we were done with them on our table.

Great place to go for drinks however the food not so much… had drinks which were great, ordered just some loaded fries which took an hour & came out stone cold… had to send it back as it was unedible, went to ask for a fresh portion hoping it wouldn’t take another hour… came back out in 2 minutes, thank you for the same microwaved dish👍

A great local style pub on the banks of the River Irwell.

Brilliant pub - atmosphere was great and the food was fantastic, love the new additions to the menu. thank you to the staff for a lovely afternoon and going out of their way - even made sure the dog was included with some dog biscuits - lovely touch

I recently visited The Old Pint Pot, and it was a fantastic experience. The ambiance had a charming, rustic feel, perfect for a pub. The standout was the bartender, Caitlin, whose service was exceptional. She was not only efficient but also friendly, making the whole experience enjoyable. I last reviewed this place over a year ago and have to say that the improvement is remarkable. The draft is great, the price is reasonable, and the food has definitely improved since changes to the menu over time. From 3 to 5 stars, it's clear they listen to their customers - well deserved 👏 - off for a pint shortly 🍺🍻

I've had a friend group meeting here for years now and we're always made welcome by Caitlin and the staff. Great service, drinks and food are always done quickly, and the outdoor seating by the river is the best spot in summer.

The location is great. Hidden away from Chapel Street and all the traffic. A walkable distance from Manchester city centre and a great local pub for Salford residents. Good selection of beer and a pretty beer garden near the river. They also play sports on TV and have events upstairs (last time we went there was a metal ish band playing)

What a gem, good value well cooked and presented food. Friendly helpful staff. Nice atmosphere.

We were looking forward to going in for food however we found it wasn't wheelchair friendly. However the member of staff behind the bar was very apologetic about this and also advised me of 2 other places near by were we would be able to get in with a wheelchair.

Nice pint of Guinness (£4.35) poured by the friendly and welcoming bar lady. Nice relaxed atmosphere and spacious seating area outside by the River Irwell, a true hidden gem in Salford. Give it a try.

Great pub tucked away with great views! Staff were great, barman knew his stuff and pints were great! Picturesque setting down by the river, great for a relaxing pint. Welcoming & cozy inside. Didn't get chance to try the food, but hope to on the next visit.

Was visiting a friend who recently moved to Salford and thought we’d pop down for a few pints on friday, 14/07/23. The atmosphere is great, casual vibes but still very clean. The barmaid who served us, she has shoulder length red hair, had good banter and knew how to pull a proper pint.

I always drive past your sign and only live 5 minutes away but had never visited as I always think you are a student pub. Now I have visited we will definitely be back. Great lunch and your bar staff were excellent.

It's got good views over the river, reasonably cheap plonk. A good local boozer that does what it says on the tin without trying to be anything it's not.

My son is a student in Salford just around the corner from the Old Pint Pot so we met for lunch there. We were the first through the door and had a warm welcome from the member of staff (Manager?) - who was a fellow Yorkshireman! We had a great lunch, very well prepared and served very quickly. We also got to sample a few draft beers from behind the bar, all were excellent. A thoroughly good afternoon all started in the Old Pint Pot. I hope to get back there soon.
