The best restaurants serving Default food in Lancaster North West

Not been here for probably 20 years. Very busy. Live music on the Saturday we went in.

I had long wanted to stay at this iconic hotel so we booked a one night stay in a room with a sea view. The room was spacious with expansive views across Morecambe Bay from the balcony. On arrival, it wasn’t obvious where to check in so we approached the bar and realised that this was reception- a strange arrangement for a hotel which purports to be 4 star. As it was my wife’s birthday we had pre booked a table for dinner. It was disappointing, to say the least, to discover that we had to order food at the bar- definitely not the level service we expected in any hotel and our starters took 45 minutes to arrive. Having said that, the staff were polite and the restaurant has amazing views. The hotel is in need of a coat of paint as it’s looking rather tired but the free car parking is a bonus. We are unlikely to visit again.

I used to work on the door's as security 25years ago, always nice to pop in now and again, polite staff and a credit to the company. ROMAN

A classic old fashioned pub with excellent service, good food & decent beer! Been again today 06.11.24 and once again service was excellent and the food great!

Great spot, Friendly staff and management. Updated very Clean building and rooms. Nice bar/restaurant downstairs with reasonable prices, tasty food and good selection of drinks. Million dollar question “ would I go again?”. Yes!!

Wednesday 2nd October 2024 We visited this great real ale pub in central Lancaster Today 3 good real ales on offer a good CAMRA DISCOUNT available to members. Well kept real ales the owners know how to keep the real ale and this spacious 1 roomed pub has good clientelle Pub some days opens 4.oc but gets a late night vibrant clentelle Keep up the good work all involved

Great place, great staff, and awesome cats 🐈 highly recommend as so well run.

Fantastic ....only criticism would be the chips not cooked enough bit anaemic compared with before

This was my 2nd time, having visited last year to see two old friends in Morecambe. The owner is Thai and although we didn’t get to meet him on either occasion, he has clearly trained his staff well. The flavours are exceptional, zingy, fresh and authentic. The service is warm and welcoming and I’m only sorry the restaurant is 250 miles away or I’d be there every week.

Very friendly place and well worth a visit

Really delicious freshly cooked Chips (with gravy, also really nice). Couldn't resist a potato scallop to keep us going while walking back to the prom to eat the chips. Proprietors really very nice people. All in all a great portion of seaside chips!

So skibidi made my GYATT go cray cray and my wouth absolutely dripped with hoisin sauce.

Chicken & sweetcorn soup, Crispy shredded chicken in chilli 🌶️ & fried egg rice, Coffee Oh my God £10 but cheap menu 1130am to 2.30pm 😊
