Lovely place, great views over the bay

Lovely building and the staff were great, but very disappointed in the cheeseboard - about £13-14 for 3 small slices of admittedly nice cheese with just a few crackers, chutney and grapes. Realistically worth about half that price.

Staff on duty were very cheerful and helpful. They're certainly an asset to the team.

The foid was lovely, good service, and a great setting

Great location for a drink on a sunny day. Venue still needs work though. Looking scruffy in places, where a quick touch up with some white paint would work wonders.

15 minute wait for a slice of cake, not busy so no excuse

We stopped here to enjoy an afternoon, coffee, and dessert. I had the café crème brûlée with the shortbread. It was extremely good … very flavorful and the price was very reasonable. For service we had to go to the bar to order, but they did check on us a few times. The atmosphere I gave him a two simply because the windows were filthy. Please look kind of dirty and it felt a little bit. Rundown must’ve been a magnificent place at what time, but it needs a little spruce up.

Really stylish old fashioned bar attached to the Art Deco Midland Hotel. The lads at the bar were friendly and accommodating and the decor and environment were wonderful, with beautiful views of the bay. Sadly the food isn’t up to much - it’s a bit too expensive for what you actually get, and the quality isn’t really up to what you’d expect at a hotel like this. Nice place for a chill and a pint though.

Lovely hotel but staff can be very unhelpful no queuing system so ignored for ages before being served. Reception area is just ridiculous being at end of the bar gives no separation or privacy to guests or customers. Could do with some bar snacks crisps etc and £4 for the tiniest bowl of fries is insane! Overall the place could do with a wobble.

Great cocktails but at city prices

I’m a Yorkshireman but my go to phrase isn’t usually: HOW MUCH?? But it bloody should have been here!! The Rotunda bar has a fantastic view over Morecambe Bay & it was mega this afternoon in the blue sky & sunshine. Many others obviously had the same idea as us in terms of an Easter Saturday afternoon drink in the sunshine - the outdoor seating area was rammed & it was heaven for dog fans/spotters. The two male bar staff looked under pressure but no long waits despite the bar’s popularity. A pint of Madri (not my favourite but the 3rd bar we’d been to & no sign of a pint of Stella) & a thimble full (125ml) of Sauvignon Blanc set me back £12.25 - bloody ridiculous in my opinion!! We last had a drink here in probably October 2014 & at this rate it’ll be over 10 years before I’d consider going back again.

Beautiful 1930s style setting with a fabulous view, quality staff & well made cocktails. A great my way to finish your day

(I do recommend the Morecambe Hotel instead though). Don't bother going to the Midland if you're after unique and luxury. It gets the stars because of the view - if you're lucky enough to have one. I took my family here as a treat and was embarrassed. It used to feel special but now you have to queue to order and compete with the priorities of insufficient staff. I stood at the bar for 15 minutes to order. Then they tried to serve dessert before starter, brought starters and mains together, all the food was missing key ingredients and tasted no better than stuff I've had from local cafes. All for well over £100. I fed back to them and got the strangest reply, saying they prided themselves on their cosy pub atmosphere. Not sure how that fits into an art deco fancy pants hotel description? I've visited the Midland over many years and it makes me sad to watch its decline. Its service and food is on a par with a weatherspoons, but 3 x the price.

Always called in for a coffee .never again 20 minutes Waite and had to remind them very cheeky staff never going again. when the coffee came it was cold shocking place

Shocking service since the owners took over. I thought I'd give it another try today (Admittedly new years day) and it was over 15 minutes before I even got acknowledged. Avoid.

It's always beautiful here. I've been twice now and each time is a delight. Beautiful food, friendly staff and reasonable pricing. The restaurant is unique and beautiful inside and out, with lovely sea views and a delightful atmosphere. I had a meat & cheese platter and a coffee, all yummy. I just wish they did a more imaginative fish platter with oysters on it, that would surpass all expectations - hopefully in summer there will be a different seasonal menu.

Lovely view, watched the sunset. £7 for a pot of tea for two, no hot water to top up. Table wasn't wiped clean. Most of the tables still had dirty plates/glasses on them waiting to be cleared and cleaned. The bar needed wiping, the window needed cleaning and the ceiling was flaking off. Staff were pleasant and polite.

Stopped just for coffee and cake and was met with my pet hate. As I approached the counter the young male server just said "Table?" Come on now, it's not that hard to be a little more civil. Coffee and cake was a bit overpriced at £8 for what is basically a park cafe but it was the service that generated this review

Great bar within Midland Hotel, dog friendly, good range of beers and lagers,

Came here for lunch with friends. Overall the bar area smelled dusty and needs a good scrub. Food was mostly lovely, we ordered a couple of sharing platters, good selection but mini chipolatas were poor quality and the bread crusts were inedible. Smoked chicken and home cooked ham were lovely. But we received 1 tiny side plate per couple, and no serving cutlery. Staff were polite and helpful when asked for extra plates and cutlery, but would have expected a lot better from the Midland. Great location overlooking the beach, spoiled by fifthy windows. Tables were cramped together. Menus were filthy too. Not great overall.

Wonderful Staff - Male and Female. Work well as a team ESPECIALLY on busy weekends. Food - Excellent Quality. Some weird menu options that are not popular to be honest. Some are too expensive. Lack of range (of sandwiches for example) is the issue here NOT the quality. The quality has ALWAYS been excellent for 2 years + Very good coffee machine. Danger - Watch out for Seagulls dive bombing the tables outside in summer !!!

Fantastic place to have a drink and watch the sunset, great tunes as well! One of my favourite places in the world to be with friends.

At busy times, this place has a great atmosphere, Unfortunately, it's usually understaffed, so that means tables are not cleared and cleaned, and the place can be fairly dirty at times.. Shame the midland hotel, Don't sort it out.. I've complained loads and I've been witness to other complaining too, but nothing ever changes!!

Always busy, so we popped into the other bar,got served immediately, and then went and sat outside the rotunda and watched the great Morecambe Bay Sunset.

Staff were indifferent and the cocktails I wanted weren't available. The drink I eventually got was nice but expensive for what it was. A little too Wetherspoons for me. The view is amazing.

I live in leicester , my son in Halton so a visit to morcombe is always high on my agenda . As much as I love morcombe I cannot visit and not drop in for a pleasant drink in the Rotunda bar . Lovely decor , pleasant atmosphere, good drinks at affordable prices all served by polite , energetic and smartly dressed staff . The views from the bar are just amazing over the bay . What is not to enjoy .A must place to visit believe me . Have one for me x

It's a little tired needs sprucing up

Great first time experience inside this iconic hotel bar. Great service from the bar staff.

I'm part of a group of (up to 10) ladies who meet here every other fri for bacon butties/teacakes and coffee. Unfortunately on our last two visits either the teacakes or the buns containing the bacon have been very hard and inedible. The staff, who are lovely have apologised and had the food replaced. I am just wondering, is this going to be an ongoing problem, or has the kitchen staff identified the problem and hopefully correct whatever causes this to happen. I must commend the hard working staff who are very friendly and most helpful.

Lovely coffee and tea cake but had quite a wait. Couple of staff on but orders mixed up and customers after me got served first. Awkward when order at bar service and you're on own. An idea would be reserved signs on counter so could put on table while being served. I lost a table whilst waiting to be served

The staff are always very busy yet very welcoming, good food, excellent coffee and the views across the bay are brilliant. Just watch the world go by.

Gorgeous Art Deco Hotel. The bar offers inside and outside bar areas. Enjoyed a lovely glass of wine in the October sunshine, sitting outside on the terrace overlooking the bay. Staff lovely, service very good. Would recommend.

Visited for a coffee at the end of a bracing seaside walk. The period interior is quite charming and different. Worth a visit for that alone.

Enjoyable tea and cake, good service and fabulous views of the bay and Lake District mountains Not keen on the dark unisex toilets.

Had a wonderful sandwich with sweet potato fries. The service and view was brilliant.

Very busy as it was vintage weekend still managed to get a booth and meet some smashing people who let me post their picture they looked stunning !!!

1 beer, 2 wines, 1 lemonade... we had to have a game a guess the rip off when I got back to the table £33!!!!! A local couple said the prices aren't normally that much. Oh well, the sun was out so gave a 2 for location

We sat in one of the "booths". Seat torn. I think the Midland is in need of a refurb.

Wonderful restoration of a classic building with excellent indoor and outdoor space offering a delightful sea view.

Lovely cafetiere, nicely presented, quick service. Busy so a good sign. Right on the sea front.

Menu said buy 2 drinks for £15. Turns out you need to buy 2 identical drinks from the section. The discount doesn't cover any 2 drinks from section. Drinks were vile and served just as a drink without fruit or decor.
