The staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are excellent with plenty of tea/coffee (including Nespresso machine), biscuits. I was next to the beer garden and slightly worried it would be too loud with being busy but I slept absolutely fine.

The menu looked fabulous, but it was a flying visit. Hence, there are no stars. The staff and the drinks were excellent. I'm going back for a roast.

Stayed one night for a staycation of sorts. Really impressed by the friendliness of the staff and attentiveness at Breakfast. Rooms were well appointed, clean and very good value. Excellent local walks and surroundings too. Would stay again.

Went for Sunday lunch, my wife had the pork loin, I had the beef. Oh well…vegetables were ok..ish, roasties were overdone, broccoli was undercooked, but worst of all, both meats were overcooked and if it hadn’t been for gravy and horseradish sauce, they would have been inedible

I recently dined at The Stork with my family, and we had a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, displaying a high level of professionalism and politeness, which made our visit even more enjoyable. After placing our order, the staff provided my children with engaging colouring sheets that could be scanned to bring their drawings to life in a 3D mode—an impressive and thoughtful touch that kept them entertained. I highly recommend the Cheese & Bacon Beef Burger. Since we do not consume bacon, the staff took great care to ensure that every item we ordered was bacon-free, which we truly appreciated. The only minor downside was that our food took a little longer to arrive. However, given that the restaurant was quite busy, this was understandable. Despite the wait, the overall experience was excellent, and we will definitely be returning. The Stork has certainly earned a spot among our favorite dining destinations.

We didn t eat this time .Just drinks .There s a food & drink menu for dogs too .A dog beds near the fire .

Very relaxed place. Food was nice. Local people were friendly. Would go back on a cleaer day as it weather was gloomy. I think it would be lovely in the spring.

Overnight stay,staff very helpful and friendly. The hotel was spotlessly clean. Our room and bathroom were also spotless.A little bit out of Lancaster town but a bus stop outside of the hotel if you don't want to drive, Just make sure to check the bus times. Great place to stay for walkers. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

We booked ahead and although we arrived early, our table was already available. The food was very tasty and perfect portion sizes. One of us had 3 courses, one 2 and I just had a main meal (the steak and venison pie - I’d recommend it!) They have packets of treats for dogs (to buy from the bar, listed on the dog menu) and even have blankets available for them to snuggle on. The only thing to make it even better might have been a verbal reminder when we came in to order our food at the bar. We tried to order online via the QR code but not all menu items were visible so ordered at the bar.

A very good destination. An excellent Menu to suit all tastes. Good walking and for us the near/start and finish of the Bay Cycle route.Its a win win !

Stayed at The Stork, just for one night. The staff, particularly Anna and Becca looked after us so well! Lovely place to stay, eat and drink. Evening meal was great, with lovely real ales, and the breakfast was amazing. Cozy atmosphere and lovely place. Thank you.

Food disappointing. Plate too small to accommodate meal. Chicken had been pre cooked and was difficult to cut. Meal left funny taste in mouth. Do not need dogs out of control. Need to look at dog hairs away from dog areas. Definitely won't be going back

Been here before for drinks and snacks so first time having a proper meal.. Food was stunning, really pleasant atmosphere and can’t recommend it enough, A main course is all you need. Highly recommend the Chicken and Pancetta pie, it was loaded and cheese sauce was full of flavour, I’m so excited to return for my next meal

We stayed here with our 5 month old twins over new years whilst attending a wedding - they could not have been more accomodating. The staff were all wonderful, and bent over backwards to help us out wherever they could. Included breakfast was superb, and my mum ate from the bar and was very complimentary. Would absolutely stay here again and recommend to anyone.

Been here many times and usually very good. This visit there was quite a long wait on food but it was very busy with customers so understandable. Lovely staff. Fish and chips very good. Caesar salad was a bit lacking but everything else was nice.

Always good to find such a welcoming pub open for lunch on a Monday. Extensive menu with fast, efficient service of quality fare. The quick walk back to Lancaster is about 5 miles along the coastal, disused railway track which is now a cycle / bridal way.

Went here for my birthday a few weeks ago with family. Lovely setting, very helpful and attentive staff. Only knocked a star off because quite a lot of the menu wasn't to my taste but could equally be someone else's. Definitely worth a visit.

A delightful, impromptu Sunday lunch. The staff are warm, friendly, and attentive. The festive trio Sunday lunch was lovely, with generous portions and swift service. £30pp including starters and drinks. Thoughtful touches included playing cards, games for kids, and amenities for dog owners, such as a large dog bed by the fire. We’d be happy to return!

Was a little concerned when they couldn't find our online booking but luckily there were spare tables available. So glad they managed to fit us in as we had an amazing meal, have to say the portions looked a bit small for my appetite but I was more than satisfied with the delicious dish presented, so much so that we could only manage 1 sweet between the 2 of us! Lovely staff and a nice friendly atmosphere. Next time we are down that way we intend to stay at the stork and try out their letting rooms. Highly recommended all round

Looking for a lunch spot on south side of Lancaster and we chose this (route from A6 in Galgate is a bit hairy). Nice food, choice of non alcoholic beers and very pleasant surroundings.

Nice place. Staff were excellent. Table service was a nice change and very good. Had the triple Sunday roast. Nice, beef a little on the chewy side but pork and turkey were very nice. All veg was very good and had a side of cauliflower cheese which was also very nice. I'd recommend it and will try another day soon.

Popped in for fish goujon butties and a pint, was great! Really enjoyable Would be 5/5 but for the coffee which wasn't very good.

I wouldn't rush back. The staff were lovely and attentive and the place is much better than it's former days. But the food... :/ everything was over cooked. If it was fried, it was within the inch of its life. The scallops were rubbery. Fish was definitely no longer swimming. And the fish and chips had a batter so thick you'd do some damage. Mash like glue... So, yeh not impressed with the food.

Really nice Sunday dinner at the Stork. Was absolutely fantastic, most had roast dinner (beef, turkey or Lamb shank) and everyone had good reviews. Free extra gravy and Yorkshire puddings were a bonus! We all had desserts and sticky toffee pudding was fantastic - really good food all around. Atmosphere could have been slightly better (however we came mid Sunday afternoon), looked like lots of tables were reserved for later on. However the pub is a nice space to eat and lots of space - not cramped at all. Our “what could be better” was the coffee at the end of the meal - was quite weak. We can’t wait to come back - thanks for a great meal.

I had a lovely stay at The Stork this week. Great food, friendly team, welcoming atmosphere and beautiful, comfortable hotel room. The pub is in a super location for exploring the local area. I would recommend and I will definitely be visiting again.

Brilliant Sunday dinner, excellent service, and I will certainly be going again.

Stayed for one night ,not the best place we have stayed, neither the worst, had issues with no mobile coverage and no WIFI, we were refunded our evening meal costs for the inconvenience.

A lovely country pub to spend the night. Rooms are tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. We had a wholesome home cooked supper in the restaurant, the staff were attentive and friendly. Breakfast the following morning was good, and set us up for the day. We had an unforeseeable problem with the bathroom radiator, the management dealt with our concerns and came to a good resolution. We would definitely recommend staying, and eating here.

I'm a bit disappointed with the meal, lasagne lacked taste , Gammon small and watery, egg white not cooked ... The place looks cosy from the outside, but no atmosphere inside , staff were excellent and very pleasant .shame the inside doesn't reflect the outside of this beautiful building, I think after the fire the homeliness went

It was the first time we visited here the staff where really lovely and a friendly atmosphere came here after taking the dog for a walk, The meal was was well presented and the quality was exquisite, even ordered a meal for the dog, we have even booked our meal for Chrstmas Day highly recommend it Mike Chris and Willow.

Quite nice hotel. Our room was very spacious and nice. Friendly staff and a nice pub part. Nice selection of ales. But the most let down was the food and the breakfast. Had high hopes for this place, but was a bit disappointed by it all. But can recommend this place anyways.

Absolutely fantastic. Stayed over for 4 nights with work commitments, but will definitely be coming back for leisure at the end of the year. The staff are so polite and helpful. The rooms are immaculately clean and comfortable, and the food is just the best. I can't recommend enough!

The food was to die for. The staff were super friendly. There was a great selection of decent beers. The biggest bonus is that it is dog friendly!

We popped in for a sunday lunch and was not disappointed, my wife and i both had the triple roast which was bigger than i thought and very filling, the staff was very good and attentive, we will be going back as i wanted to try the rhubarb and custard sunday but was full up.

My wife and I spent a night at The Stork and were thoroughly impressed by it. On arrival parking in their car park was easy. We had to enter the bar area for reception but as soon as the lady behind the bar saw us she got on with our check in, asked if we needed any assistance with bags and then escorted us to a very well decorated and freshly cleaned upstairs room. She gave us a comprehensive run down of fire escapes, meal times and facilities etc. The bed was excellent quality the mattress being on the firm side, there was clothes hanging space with quality hangers provided, coffee machine as well as tea bags and other sachets. The bathroom was fully equipped and functioning with a good VERY powerful shower and immediate hot water. We ordered an evening meal in the restaurant downstairs and were both impressed with the quality of our choices, my wife having mushroom wellington and myself the beef. Throughout all our meals the waiting and bar staff were brilliant, attentive but not intrusive, efficient and all very friendly. After a couple of nightcaps from the well stocked bar, we had a good peaceful nights sleep. Next day, downstairs for breakfast. They had a good selection of cereals and cooked options and juices.Also good coffee. The breakfast serving times were also good catering for early risers and those who like a lie in. We found the cost to quality ratio excellent. Unfortunately I can't comment on how good disability access would be only that our room was up quite a narrow staircase and I didn't see a lift. Also like a lot of old buildings the ground floor had a couple of different level floors with steps up. We would definitely return again.

We decided to go into Stork Hotel after a walk up Condor Green, its a place we;ve been past for years but hadn't been in yet. We had lunch and it was brilliant, great food, great service and love the way they've done the place. Classy pub with a nice atmosphere. After another equally good visit we saw a sign about hiring the function rooms for events - we we're planning our wedding at the time and were looking for the right place to go to after the ceremony. Everything just fell into place perfectly - nothing was too much trouble, they had some great food items to pick from and on the day, one of the most commom feedbacks was just how good the food was! We we're really chuffed with how the day went and the staff we're great. Thanks again, we'll be back again no dubt!

Came here for dinner on a recommendation and so glad we did. They have a great drink and food menu with options to please a variety of palettes. The drinks are nice sized and made well. Their award winning pot pies grabbed our eye I went with the chicken and pinchers pot pie and my friend got the steak and venison pot pie the gravy alone made his the winner. Mine was too much cheese for my taste but still cooked well and flavorful. The desserts are in another level and a must try. Service was wonderful through out until the end when a waitress asked if we wanted our bill and then we didn’t see her for over 15 min asked another for our bill and waitress came back apologizing. It’s a pet friendly place so be prepared to hear dogs randomly barking. It was so good we look forward to coming back for a visit.

Staff don't seem like they enjoy working here, food not as good as expected first time at the stork my wife's lasagne had very little meat in it garlic bread just sliced bread with garlic butter, my scampi and chips no real taste sliced bread and butter bread dry always thought it would be some we're nice to try but not what we expected

I enjoyed the experience very much, great fun, not as frightening as you would expect, just stay calm,I am over 70 years old,I would do the full experience again tomorrow,

Fabulous food and a lovely beer garden. One of the best steaks I've had in the UK, my wife also loved the seafood tagliatelle. Staff were lovely and friendly. We will definitely be back, thanks.

Firstly the staff are excellent can’t do enough for you, I am disabled and first visit I was welcomed by a very pleasant young lady called Leah that was one of the most helpful pleasant members of bar staff I have ever met, service was excellent and the food absolutely excellent, we travel about 20 miles to eat and drink here and will now be doing it on a regular basis. A1+ for a great eating and drinking experience 👍🍻👏👍😊

Cozy English pub, which also doubles as a hotel. We spent a night there. The room was spacious and clean, very welcoming and tastefully decorated. Breakfast is included and you can choose between different types. We also had dinner: the cuisine is a little lighter and more creative than traditional English cuisine, a little expensive by Italian standards, but we had a good time.

Wonderful food with wonderful friends

This is an update, we stayed again for another night, the staff were brilliant, the rooms excellent even giving up their fan for us to help cool down our room, honestly I love this place, the hotel and the staff. Again thankyou for a lovely stay. I cannot recommend this place highly enough, we stayed on the 12th and 13th of August, and the rooms are exceptional, 5star standard for a fraction of the cost, the shower was brilliant, the dogs were met with a little hamper and some rugs, which is so much more than many places. The food is cooked to order, and really really good. I would also like to point out Nathan especially, a(s also the other staff) the who has gone the extra mile for us, and helped make our stay such a good memory.
