The best restaurants serving Default food in Gateshead North East

We've just moved into the area and we're excited to try out Emma's. We had such a lovely meal and will definitely be back! The food was really good and for a very reasonable price, and the staff were all so warm and lovely. Nothing was too much trouble! I have to say the tiramisu was one of the best I've ever had, and I've tried a lot of them. So great to know we have such a lovely place close to us.

Can not fault this food and the lady who owns it is extremely friendly I pop in for cake and sandwich too never disappointted

Really lovely micropub was made to feel very welcome here last night both by the staff (lovely lady) and locals are so welcoming too We will definitely be going back soon.

Great staff and beautiful drinks great value for money

Family take away tonight. Friendly staff. It’s a small restaurant about 2/3 full on a Friday night. Take aways perhaps a small distraction for those eating in. Food very good. Chicken Tikka Massala, chicken bhuna and a chicken tikka were the main features. All very nice. Don’t ignore their Thursday and Sunday eat in or take away specials.

Real SAD Place this is Even the Beer is sad and full of Sad people from the front door to leaving again tje same way.

Food is predominantly provided by vans and pop up stalls. The pus has a regular selection of samosas and snacks too. Drinks are varied and exceptional. Staff are super friendly and helpful. Atmosphere in the main bar is lively, friendly and relaxed. Back room is a bit quiet and lacks some atmosphere, but local musicians often play there which is a draw. The bar also has regular open mic nights and events too.

Lovely restaurant, relaxing feel to it. Fantastic customer service, guy went out of his way to help us. We are vegan, so we asked if they could keep a bottle of vegan red wine for us. They sourced one for us especially, no problems at all and didn't charge any extra for it either. Really reasonable prices and the food is fantastic. A couple of vegan mains, and a few starters, which was good. Always nice to see more vegan options if possible. Loads of options for meat eaters. The food is amazing and great portions. Definitely will be back at some point.

The food is absolutely good and definitely taste the "chicken quesadillas". On the other hand, the portions are very small. Advice order two right away and take your time because it doesn't go very fast. Perhaps because of the online orders because as said, the food is certainly good.

First time visiting after wanting to try for ages but just never got round to it. Booked a table the evening before no problem. Was greeted by a lovely member of staff, not sure of her name but she was so lovely. I went for the full English and asked if I could switch the black pudding for an extra hash brown and I got an extra hash brown and sausage. I did however ask for my egg over easy and it did come over cooked but they replaced right away, definitely not a deal breaker. It was so tasty and fresh, one of the best breakfasts I’ve had. One thing I wasn’t keen on was the brown sauce, it had an overpowering sweet cinnamon taste, didn’t enjoy it at all. We waited 25 mins for our food but as they got busier it was a 45 min wait so we definitely got there at the right time. I would say they were quite understaffed, and the lovely women who greeted us was run off her feet but it was a Saturday morning.
