Staff are very friendly, food is delicious and very reasonably priced. If you like Indian food you need to give this place a try. We visited at 6pm, service was quick and food was piping hot when it arrived. Atmosphere was nice and chilled, however, it was starting to get really busy when we were leaving

Been here a few times and absolutely love it every single time! We travel over 30mins to specifically come here for food it's that good. Portion sizes are really good, you can change how spicy you would like your curry and the flavours are beautiful. Our server Chris is amazing every time and always goes out of his way to check how we are doing. Wouldn't go anywhere else for a curry.

Went for family get together on Sunday 4th May. Food & service were excellent. Great atmosphere and the Staff were all very friendly especially Chris & Jamie. Will definitely be visiting again.

Great service, great food. Extremely tasty curry very well made and great value. We shared a king prawn noodle dish, had 2 curries, 2 rice, 1 Nan bread, 2 beers, 2 wines £65. Everything tasted very fresh and the peshwari Nan was the best I’ve ever tasted! The chicken clay pot was amazing and full of fresh tasting sauce. We will be returning next weekend.

First time here, will be going back, food was lovely, portion sizes were good, and the choice was really good. Being able to adjust heat levels within the curries is great, my husband doesn't like hot, but loves flavour so he could get just what he wanted. Good value for the Quality of food. Recommend.

I am biased as I have visited the Soho Grills in the West Midlands. Nice desi pub, in a quiet location. Decent sized car park and convenient location near the A1. I walked in without booking and was offered a table, ordered a regular mixed grill, with chilli chips and plain naan. Nice food portions and decent service. Some of the locals are not used to a punjabi grill and were having the basic curry dishes. Personally I would recommend the grills!

Absolutely stunning! We are geordies who live in sydney - every man and his dog told us to try Soho and I'm very glad we did. Jamie's a legend too, give him a payrise :)

Lovely food as always. The salt and pepper chips are particulary outstanding in my opinion! Quick service despite being really busy, and always greeted with a smile. It's our go to place now. Thanks team Soho!

Really well done! 🔅 Veg Tikka (new recipe) – Marinated soya pieces. This dish has always been a favourite, and the new recipe is absolutely spot on. 🔅 Vegan Lamb Curry (new recipe) – The texture is incredibly meat-like—almost too realistic for me personally—but it impressed others at the table. You can order the vegan lamb with any of their curry bases. We also had: • Masala chips • Vegan naan with vegan butter • Salad • Onion bhaji • Poppadoms • Classic chips They have new vegan desserts (we were too full to try) Apple Crumble Vegan vegan brownie ice cream brownie- Vegan Strawberry cheesecake vegan The atmosphere is always great—friendly staff, and plenty of seating options including a private room, outdoor seating, and a roof terrace. We especially love coming here on match days—there are 12 large TVs dotted around the restaurant, so you won’t miss a thing.

This place has the relaxed vibe of a pub but with the food of a high quality restaurant. The service is so friendly and the staff are so welcoming. We had a sizzling meat plate and a veggie curry but will definitely be back to try more dishes

There were 12 in our party and we had pre-ordered our food, when we arrived we were shown to our table, drinks orders taken then the food started to arrive, everything went like clockwork the food was fantastic and the staff were excellent could not fault anything and will definitely be going back

Been multiple times always the best experience the service is on point food is like no other one of the best in the northeast. Went for a collection this time and the turn around time was quick and the two boys from Darlington that served me were really friendly would definitely recommend.

Have been to Soho Tavern Gateshead numerous times. Such a lovely place with friendly, helpful staff and the food is amazing! This place is a must. Authentic, flavourful food with a smile & if you can’t finish it all there’s the option to tub it up & take it home!

Not been for a while, but the food is still as amazing as the first time, they are very accommodating and speedy service. Looking forward to returning again hopefully soon. I work with Adults with special needs and disabilities and the staff are so good when we arrive. Our guests always enjoy their visits here.

Really delicious food, I was very impressed with the vegetarian/vegan menu! I ordered the vegetarian boneless 'chicken' wings and the vegetarian butter chicken. Both dishes were full of flavour and couldn't recommend more. Staff very friendly, chris talked us through the menu and was really helpful. Already looking forward to returning to Soho Tavern!

Been here many times and can honestly say this is hands down the best Indian restaurant I have been to. Has a fantastic vegan/vegetarian menu also which is brilliant. Came tonight and had the veg tikka starter and veg butter chicken for main which was delicious. My 2 friends came for the first time and they also commented how it was the best curry they’ve had. I’m not sure the name of the guy who greeted us but he was extremely friendly and welcoming. All staff were attentive. Thank you so much!

I am a carer, And we go to Soho kibblesworth every Friday and Sundays with our residents and they love it Food is great,drinks lovely and alot of drinks to select from And the service and more is spot on.I will give it Chris,one of the bar tenders he is Great and also good at his job and also familiar with our residents.

With being a vegetarian it has a fantastic choice of food. I loved the manchurian dish which i pull highly recommend. Full of flavour. Atmosphere is fantastic and staff really helpful and friendly. Definitely a place that i would highly recommend.

We're from Birmingham, recently moved up to the North East, and had struggled to find Indian food that lives up to Brummie standards....until now!

Food is amazing. Always tastes fresh and flavours are great in each dish. I ordered vegan butter chicken and they advised they could make a vegan garlic naan for me which was a bonus! Staff are really efficient and friendly. We got a check back at the appropriate times and the table was cleared promptly. Great selection of vegan and vegetarian food, including several gluten free options. Atmosphere was good as always. Really can't recommend Soho Tavern enough - a must if you like Indian food.

Didn't know what to expect as it's not a restaurant. It is a Pub that sells curry instead of your usual "fish & chips, pie & peas etc". Now that's different. We really enjoyed the food which is restaurant quality & the fact that you 1. select your meat. 2. select your curry sauce. 3. how spicey you want it. i.e.. mild, medium or hot. Then order & pay at the bar. Loads of choice on the menu. Staff friendly with a nice setting. Highly recommend & we will go again.

After seeing the reviews I opted to eat out this evening at the Soho Tavern Gateshead as I was working in the area. I was greeted by welcoming and polite staff. However, there was a lot of noise coming from the kitchen in terms of loud talking in an abrupt tone. I was very much looking forward to the food after seeing the great reviews. I ordered the regular grill with sauce and a keema rice. The meat was overly spiced even for someone who likes spicy food and the chicken wings tasted as if they had been cooked earlier today and then reheated them in a microwave as there was a rubbery texture to them. It was all fairly strange as they served them on a sizzling board. It all looked appetising, with the look being the deceiving part. The keema rice was £6.45, with it being that expensive I was expecting great things and was bitterly disappointed with the lack of keema and flavour. Definitely would not return.

First time experiencing Soho Tavern - Kibbles worth. was met by two lovely ladies Fiona and Elizabeth behind the bar giving great reception. We were shown to our seats and handed menus in which there was a selection of Indian and Chinese cuisine. The wait time for the food was not long, moreover, the food itself was enjoyable. I would recommend this place to a friend and will be certainly coming back

The Soho Tavern was recommended by a friend so we visited in Dec 24 and was so impressed we went for a second time on Feb 14th 25. We hadn't booked forgetting it was Valentines but the Manager found us a table straight away. Both the Manager and Owner spent time chatting to us and answering any questions we had. The food is authentic Indian with some Indochineese too. The curries are cooked to your preferred spice level and are fresh and very flavoursome. Prices are exceptionally reasonable too. Will be making this a regular place to eat.

We needed somewhere for a cheeky lunch. We have seen and heard reviews about this place. So we decided to pop in Chris our server was absolutely fantastic, extremely attentive and a good laugh. Fantastic customer service backed up by fantastic food. Will definitely be back! Bargain for how fresh and nice the food was. I will not go to another Indians again!
