We always enjoy food here, perfect for our dietary requirements, and the open kitchen plan is always very clean and tidy. Very tasty food.

Hidden gem with phenomenal food. The service provided by Chris was 10/10 and he took the time to explain the menu to us too. Food was some of the best I’ve had in the North East, mixed grills are a must try, with very good veg alternatives too. Will definitely be back again.

A must visit! We were served by Chris and him and the rest of the team were so attentive and helpful. Chris explained the entire menu and gave recommendations. The food itself was incredible. The vegetarian options were amazing and there was even a separate vegetarian menu. Chili paneer is a must try!

A truly unique and fantastic place for food and atmosphere. Get your favourite pint along with a mixid grill and you’ll want to come back.

Outstanding food great service from start to finish

We had Sunday club with the lads at this fine establishment. Turned up at 1.30pm and left at 7pm..super Sunday football, beers and amazing food. What's there not yo like or enjoy. Honestly the staff where so accommodating and friendly providing us with a 5 star service...the food..well pictures or words will not give justice to how enense the food was. Honestly best Indians I've been too.. If you are ever in the north east you have 0 excuse not to try this place.

Excellent from the start. The venue has a great modern feel with the staff very welcoming and attentive. Great food and drink selection. The food was exceptional and cooked to order including mildness of the curry. Authentic Indian food. Great menu selection and the sizzlers are worth checking out. Very reasonable in price and great place for friends or family. We will definitely return here.

Beautiful setting atmosphere lovely great for families of all ages service was fantastic, my 1st visit staff explained menu really well and advised different variations of heat. I requested starters to come first then ordered mains. Food was outstanding real authentic flavours. 1st visit will definitely not be our last.

As I was in the area anyway, I popped in for a mixi. The place is done up with the same decor as their pubs in the Midlands, so felt like home! The service was very friendly and welcoming. The food was decent but lacked a little something compared to their other places. Mainly in terms of spice. Still very good, but just not quite top-tier. Beer choices were decent as always, and the usual vast menu catering for vegetarians is there too.

Food starters were goose, but mains could have been better.

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. The food was fantastic – from the delicious starters to the perfectly cooked mains, everything was full of flavor and beautifully presented. Great selection of drinks as well! Definitely a must-visit for anyone in the area.

Very friendly staff. Very accommodating chef. One of the group is allergic to food colouring. Chef offered to make the dish for the person without any food colouring. Good parking. Ample portions. Very good man bread. I had the lamb with bone dish. Well spiced. Good restaurant.

Today we delivered the staff's first aid at work training and we were also treat to lunch in this fantastic restaurant. The food was amazing and the staff are so friendly who can not do enough for you. I can not recommend Soho Tavern Gateshead highly enough. FANTASTIC!!!

Great spot. We were here last night for my wife's birthday. Well looked after by the staff, nothing was a chore. Food options are brilliant and the fact that you can swap items out easily is spot on. Portions are large too, we had to take food away. Food quality was flawless. We'll be back!

I support adults with physical and learning disabilities and we have visited Soho Tavern 4–5 times now. We visited again on 26/09/24 and there was 7 of us. I can honestly say that the service, staff, food and hospitality is amazing. They always make us feel welcome, the food is amazing. They have a fab gluten free/vegetarian/vegan menu too. Quite possibly the best Indian food in the north east, didn't realise you could order takeaway from Uber eats now I'll not order anywhere else, quality is outstanding, the chicken tikka masala is phenomenal. So delicious! Also have been to the restaurant it's a great vibe and always usually busy. Must grab some pictures next time!

Had a lovely meal on Sunday night in this fabulous restaurant. Got a great welcome by Chris who was able to explain the menu to me and my wife. He looked after us really well which was great for us. Also the manager Johnny was nice and came and chatted to us. 1st time here and won't be the last.

It was like a pub cum restaurant which we didn’t know but now yes and so is you if you reading my review. You have e to order at the front we were three adults and two kids and my husband ordered after we all told but was messed up. I think the food portions were little small may be because of inflammation. Naan was thin too but delicious. Butter chicken was sweet but Manchurian was great. Staff aren’t aware of the Indian drink of mango lassi. They weren’t sure.

First time at soho and wow what can I say... food was absolutely amazing service was great lovely friendly staff we were served by Chris who explained the menu to us. The restaurant is beautiful and clean. Can not fault one bit. They even have the perfect roof garden with music on the tv

As a local we’ve been buzzing to try Soho and it didn’t disappoint. Amazing atmosphere, lush staff and drinks and the food was epic. I know my rogan Josh and this was the best I’ve ever had. Portion was so good I’ve got a bit saved for my supper. Can’t wait to work my way through the menu this year. A fantastic dining experience, a great choice of dishes on the menu to suit everyone and a plentiful selection of quality drinks from the bar. A relaxed atmosphere where the staff can't do enough to make sure you enjoy your visit, a special shout must go to Chris Wallace who looked after us and made our visit a memorable one.

Popped in the day after our wedding on our way home as we fancied and Indian meal. We were not disappointed! Loved the ordering system, Lisa who served us was professional and friendly and explained the ordering process clearly. The food was beautiful and nicely presented and we even took home what we couldn't finish in complimentary take away boxes. (I finished it off the next day 😋) The manager/owner was lovely and recognised we were newly married and offered us a complimentary drink, we were leaving at that point but he insisted that we return to take him up on his generous offer. We will definitely be back!

Best restaurant ever been couple times now

Fantastic. Food is perfect (with a huge vegetarian menu as well), beer is cheaper than most pubs and good quality. Casual and totally unpretentious. Big TV's for the sport, nice patio for smoking and plenty of free parking in a pleasant little village. Will definitely return.

OMG flipping God….. We ordered a bhuna medium hot and a Bhuna hot. All I can say is the medium was past hot and the hot was ridiculous. Never want to taste the extra hot. EVER Bhuna should not be that hot. Won’t be going back

Food was lovely, although hubby should have gone for a hotter choice, mine was perfect. Staff very attentive and polite. Atmosphere a little loud, but Sunday afternoon and the footy is on. Will definitely return and recommend.

Sahil and Johnny, our attentive servers, were absolute gems, ensuring every moment was perfect. Their warmth and genuine care made the evening truly special. Not only did they flawlessly cater to our needs, but they also went above and beyond, offering assistance with decorations and checking in on us regularly. And the food? Incredible doesn't even begin to describe it! The portions were big, and the flavors were out of this world. I'll be recommending this place to everyone I know! Visited here for the first time 19th April. Although couldn't fault the food, it was very good, but choosing and ordering was quite awkward. Nothing like Indian restaurants we usually visit. It was more like a sports bar that served indian food. The atmosphere was quite chaotic. It's a very popular place and very reasonably priced, but not at all intimate and not the atmosphere we like.

Excellent food, good service. Can see me returning soon. They have loads of vegetarian options that merited their own menu and also gluten-free meals too. Lovely. Have been back since original visit and it was just as good, they also have outside seating out the back and on the roof. They have a good selection of beers and the prices are very reasonable.

Food was spot on as was service - my coffee was a little strong and staff dealt with this perfectly which made me feel like going back again knowing they take customer care seriously. Staff were friendly & helpful and good with the children. The food was v v good and the venue really lends itself to being family friendly and great for eating and watching the footie too! Ideal for large groups and smaller groups too! Looking forward to going back!
