The atmosphere, food and staff are absolutely brilliant. We were well looked after from walking through the door to leaving, this was our first time hear but it definitely won't be the last. Thankyou to all of the staff

Very nice ambience, food is top and service is great too. Love the wrap, manchurian is great. Dal makhani could be better (it was on the sweet side which I don't like personally) Everything else is amazing.

My server fiona was very proactive and made sure we were looked after. We saw her make the drinks and she looked very passionate and enthusiastic to make them, made the experience amazing.

Best Indian food I’ve had in a long time! Service was 10/10 would recommend!

Visited Soho twice over the Christmas period with family. Food was absolutely faultless. Butter chicken was a really popular dish among our family as well as the boneless grills. Both times visited we had a table of 6+, including children. Despite ordering at the bar individually / in couples, our food was delivered to tables together. Food is amazing value for money. Great range of drinks at the bar. I particularly enjoyed the Christmas cocktails. The venue is great. Really modern, clean and screens for football. All staff are friendly and helpful - the manager cannot do enough for you. Can't wait to visit again.

We have been here at my daughter's birthday and experienced this amazing place. Food was excellent especially veg Manchurian. I can't point out anything here for improvising.

Had a dine in with family and friends. Grilling is fabulous. Vegetarian and Non Vegetarian options are plenty. Grills are served on iron hot plate like a sizzler. Curries and nan are good too. Definitely recommended for grills and family dine out.

Excellent food, good service. Can see me returning soon. They have loads of vegetarian options that merited their own menu and also gluten-free meals too. Lovely. Have been back since original visit and it was just as good, they also have outside seating out the back and on the roof. They have a good selection of beers and the prices are very reasonable.

Generous portions, the 'small plates' were actually quite large but they hadn't got the sauces right on our four vegan dishes. Too acidic. Not a cosy place.

From the minute we walked in we all loved it at Soho Tavern. The restaurant was really busy with a great atmosphere. We were a party of 8 and right from the start the service was amazing. It was noticeable how many staff there was was buzzing around looking after the customers. Every one friendly and very helpful. Chris, who looked after our table, explained exactly how the menu worked, answered all our questions about the food, quickly sorted all our drinks and regularly checked-in to make sure all OK. He couldn't have done more. The food was first class. We had a very varied choice of food on our table and everyone loved their choice. All in all a great night. We'll definitely be back in the near future and will be also be using Soho Tavern for our next take away.

Come here every week and it never disappoints. Food is always spot on and staff all friendly, Chris is a top man.

A must visit! We were served by Chris and him and the rest of the team were so attentive and helpful. Chris explained the entire menu and gave recommendations. The food itself was incredible. The vegetarian options were amazing and there was even a separate vegetarian menu. Chili paneer is a must try!

Hidden gem with phenomenal food. The service provided by Chris was 10/10 and he took the time to explain the menu to us too. Food was some of the best I’ve had in the North East, mixed grills are a must try, with very good veg alternatives too. Will definitely be back again.

Outstanding food great service from start to finish

We had Sunday club with the lads at this fine establishment. Turned up at 1.30pm and left at 7pm..super Sunday football, beers and amazing food. What's there not yo like or enjoy. Honestly the staff where so accommodating and friendly providing us with a 5 star service...the food..well pictures or words will not give justice to how enense the food was. Honestly best Indians I've been too.. If you are ever in the north east you have 0 excuse not to try this place.

The food was exceptional and cooked to order including mildness of the curry. Authentic Indian food. Great menu selection and the sizzlers are worth checking out. Very reasonable in price and great place for friends or family. We will definitely return here.

Beautiful setting atmosphere lovely great for families of all ages service was fantastic, my 1st visit staff explained menu really well and advised different variations of heat. I requested starters to come first then ordered mains. Food was outstanding real authentic flavours. 1st visit will definitely not be our last.

As I was in the area anyway, I popped in for a mixi. The place is done up with the same decor as their pubs in the Midlands, so felt like home! The service was very friendly and welcoming. The food was decent but lacked a little something compared to their other places. Mainly in terms of spice. Still very good, but just not quite top-tier. Beer choices were decent as always, and the usual vast menu catering for vegetarians is there too.

Loved my visit to Soho! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with a stylish vibe that made the experience extra special. Today we delivered the staff's first aid at work training and we were also treat to lunch in this fantastic restaurant. The food was amazing and the staff are so friendly who can not do enough for you. I can not recommend Soho Tavern Gateshead highly enough. FANTASTIC!!!

Great spot. We were here last night for my wife's birthday. Well looked after by the staff, nothing was a chore. Food options are brilliant and the fact that you can swap items out easily is spot on. Portions are large too, we had to take food away. Food quality was flawless. We'll be back!

I support adults with physical and learning disabilities and we have visited Soho Tavern 4–5 times now. We visited again on 26/09/24 and there was 7 of us. I can honestly say that the service, staff, food and hospitality is amazing. They always make us feel welcome, the food is amazing. They have a fab gluten free/vegetarian/vegan menu too. Quite possibly the best Indian food in the north east, didn't realise you could order takeaway from Uber eats now I'll not order anywhere else, quality is outstanding, the chicken tikka masala is phenomenal. So delicious! Also have been to the restaurant it's a great vibe and always usually busy. Must grab some pictures next time!

Had a lovely meal on Sunday night in this fabulous restaurant. Got a great welcome by Chris who was able to explain the menu to me and my wife. He looked after us really well which was great for us. Also the manager Johnny was nice and came and chatted to us. 1st time here and won't be the last.

It was like a pub cum restaurant which we didn’t know but now yes and so is you if you reading my review. You have e to order at the front we were three adults and two kids and my husband ordered after we all told but was messed up. I think the food portions were little small may be because of inflammation. Naan was thin too but delicious. Butter chicken was sweet but Manchurian was great. Staff aren’t aware of the Indian drink of mango lassi. They weren’t sure.

As a local we’ve been buzzing to try Soho and it didn’t disappoint. Amazing atmosphere, lush staff and drinks and the food was epic. I know my rogan Josh and this was the best I’ve ever had. Portion was so good I’ve got a bit saved for my supper. Can’t wait to work my way through the menu this year. Popped in the day after our wedding on our way home as we fancied and Indian meal. We were not disappointed! Loved the ordering system, Lisa who served us was professional and friendly and explained the ordering process clearly. The food was beautiful and nicely presented and we even took home what we couldn't finish in complimentary take away boxes. (I finished it off the next day 😋) The manager/owner was lovely and recognised we were newly married and offered us a complimentary drink, we were leaving at that point but he insisted that we return to take him up on his generous offer. We will definitely be back!
