A difficult review to write especially being in the catering industry for a very long time.
Overall review from both side of the fence as a customer and as catering industry.
Having previously visited this restaurant, decided to revisit with family for authentic Korean meal as it’s my daughter birthday. The food was actually quite good, especially the fried Korean chicken, ordered a selection of food which we enjoyed.
However was Disappointed with the service everything felt rushed, from consistently asking if we were ready to order, ordered the Korean BBQ, as the meat on the BBQ was starting to over cooked. Used utensils ( tongs ) were snatched from us and food was chucked onto the table. With little or no explanation of what is what etc …
The waitress did have a smile at all times, just need to slow down a wee bit, so it’s a better atmosphere and dining experience.

Avoid!!! 🤢 I ordered a peri peri wrap the other night and was charged the meal price for just the wrap, that was tiny and only contained one small chicken strip, and was padded out with lettuce and mayo. I ordered jalapeño cheese bites and was given mozzarella sticks- and the worst part was the food poisoning I experienced the following morning.
Great food! We asked the waitress to pack up what was left of our pho so we could take it home and she filled up the broth for us at no extra cost! Will be back again
Great food, with the best customer service I have experienced. Steaks were cooked to perfection and sides really nice.
Really worth a visit especially before the theatre as quick service and restaurant literally opposite New Wimbledon theatre.

Was promised a refund via a man working there who called me on receipt of my online order- was told they could not fulfil my order as out of stock for two portions of hard food and that they would sub one portion and refund the other but never received it! Plus, delivery took 2 hours!!! Food was tasty but they really need to work on good customer service- really lets them down.
After a disappointing first visit to Sai a year ago, we gave it a second go as it is a popular local restaurant. Sadly, it failed to deliver again. The food is the main disappointment.
Surprisingly, there are no side dishes on the menu which most top-end and local Indian restaurants do serve. We decided to go for a starter, a meat main, a vegetable main, a salade and a naan. All together.
The paneer starter was a feast of sugar and sodium glutamate which would put most cheap Chinese takeaways to shame. It was poor. Very poor.
The chicken in Rajasthani sauce was bone dry. The sauce was flavoursome but the chicken like plasterboard; it sucked all moisture from one’s mouth.
The saag paneer looked like it had been reheated several times and had a disturbingly fatty/buttery taste; odd taste and not recommended.
The cucumber salade constituted of a few slices of cucumber with some spices sprinkled on top. Rather uninspiring and not worth ordering.
The naan bread had a lovely meat filling but sadly, it was barely noticeable.
The papadums on the house were good but sadly, somewhat forgotten after a £70+ per person bill.
The atmosphere and decor is pleasant. There is a good 'vibe' created by the open doors, good lighting and local guests.
To finish, the service was hesitant and seemingly inexperienced. The owner/manager swanned around smiling at a few tables but disappeared at 8pm to leave his staff to thumble along.
Second visit to Sai and last visit to Sai.
