Just ordered from here really big portion, definitely will be ordering again. Plantain was a little dry but the main food was 10/10

Chris, meal 1 Mostly rice? 2 Meal 2 Mostly rice!!….£30 for two “Large”…I will be hungry later! I’m not satisfied that’s why 2 stars 🙄 Returning? 🤔

If u could zero star's itwould be appropriate, bought hard food and oxtail just tasted like meat stock only, no beans nothing else just stock and oxtail with giant yams and boiled dumplings that still had flower in the middle not cooked properly, the brown stewed fish and chicken both had zero stew, tasted bland and very dry, threw away the curry mutton just because it looked like dog food and the rice in the other meals were dry and tasteless so why bother, waste money and definitely won't be buying from here ever again.

Rude staff. The older lady started kissing her teeth when I asked for the bin as I came in with an empty drink. Not coming here again, clearly doesn't know how to talk to people. Avoid.

Ordered a curry mutton large and it is More like a medium portion. Have noticed this happens with the soups as well. Better to order in store than delivery as it is clear you receive less when ordering online via justeat

Food was a joke ordered a large and came in a tiny Tupperware. Prices have increased and portion size has dramatically reduced. Definitely wont be ordering anymore.

Soup tasted really good but the portion size was small for the price. I wouldn’t buy again based on that portion size.

Doesn't taste as good as normal and the plain rice option has been removed from the meals. I've tried the rice and peas but isn't as tasty, so won't be ordering again unfortunately.

feeling really run down so ordered red pea soup with mutton to kick me back into gear and it didn't disappoint. apart from receiving 2 out of 3 ordered but just eat has refunded and I really don't care as long as I got these 2 large. also a small chicken soup which was delicious also. thank you hopefully tonsillitis can do one 👊

This is the first time I ordered from this outfit and was pleasantly surprised. The food was good and arrived hot. Very good service.

Very limited menu unless pre-ordered. The food was homely but contained broken up bones (chicken dish). Curry not spicy, Salad poorly presented. Rice and peas did not seem freshly prepared. Service informal but friendly. Overall ambiance spartan but clean, including bathroom.

English: Real Jamaican food cooked and presented in a real Jamaican way. This shop feels like I am in Jamaica. I called and my food was ready when I arrived. Quality service.

I am not happy with the food it’s not up to it’s usual standard. I would like a refund on the oxtail and rice there is hardly any oxtail and it very dry and tastes burnt I had to throw it out

I bought jerk pork and plantain. Plantain are so tuff and dry, couldn’t even swallow properly. Probably cooked few days ago and not fresh. Good portion for jerk pork but rice is dry and tasteless, tight with the juice . Won’t comeback

Two times I have requested my food to be spicy,to no adhere. Request wasn't granted. Oxtail was very salty,soup needed a lil more spicy,as in pepper 🌶. Very disappointed

The white rice was mushy because meals was mixed together. The drinks was in bag with food, made the food cold. Oxtail was quite fatty, not much meat. The coleslaw was very sour

They gave me way more rice than Ackee and saltfish

Food tasted ok, but the proportion of meat / fish in each portion we had was very small… also the ackee and ‘saltfish’ was very oily, so won’t be returning.

I use to love ordering from here but the potion comes small, the food cold and missing items

Food wasn’t good arrived cold plantain was as dry as sand, not ripe yet but still served anyway. Coco bread arrives hard as if it had been warmed up beforehand and then as it got cold it got hard, the dumpling was dripping with oil when you squeezed into it just very disappointing experience and underwhelming meal. Only thing I was really satisfied with was my can of coke.

We found a piece of plastic in a middle of our food

Curry mutton, rice and peas was ok but the plantin and coleslaw was inedible. The Plantin was dry and bitter and the coleslaw was hot.

The mutton soup was tasteless. The fish hadn't been marinated so tasted dreadful. I order a lot from Kalabash But but will never order a soup or fish dish again.

Normally I’m never disappointed in my order, but today I was. I ordered a large meat meal and it came smaller than expected. Kalabash Hut changed the containers they put their food in and I’m so disappointed. ☹️ everyone I recommend them too, I always big up there portion size. This order I was very sad and still very hungry as I’m feeding for 2. I always have food leftover from a large but not this time. Apart from that their food is good.

I've ordered Kalabash for a number of years however recently I've been very disappointed, the quality of food is not the same! I used to look forward to it however it has been very inconsistent in terms of taste and doesn't taste as authentic as before.

Food is nice as usual when I have purchased. However, my gripe is the portion size, way small for the price, whether small or large. This area needs improvement. The service is usually good and on time and they usually have what i want so can't complain. I cant rate on atmosphere as i have never been there myself.

Terrible ! Burnt meat and gave me the wrong size !plus came cold

The chicken soup is delicious however it has bits of the drumstick bone and hardly any chicken meat. The brown stew children was tough as was the peppersteak ... maybe there's a new chef as the food is usually excellent. When you spend £30 customers want fresh and tasty food but on this occasion we didn't get that!

Good portions and the food tasted great. We all really enjoyed the meals.

Bit disappointed that the portion sizes have been reduced and the prices gone up. I totally understand the need for the price going up but to reduce portion size the way it has been is no longer representing value for money.

Been using takeaway since down from Yorkshire for a few weeks. Soups are the best. Chicken mutton vegetable all cooked to perfection. Rice and peas, jerk chicken very authentic and tasty. Patties in short supply but vegetable ones the best. Sorrell beer exceptional. Sorrell and ginger very spicy and nice.

Food was delicious, warm and everything was nice! I enjoyed it very much.

Food was piping hot. I ordered oxtail, small and large curried chicken and fish all with cabbage and rice and peas. Large portioning which was appreciated. Everything seasoned well. There was leakeges due to the packaging and maybe how it was transported, would suggest to not use the polystyrene boxes for deliveries. Rice was long grain with the coconut slightly overpowering the dish, it was mentioned to me but I didn't mind. The mac and cheese was alright. The coleslaw was a joke. The smallest tub for a pound, def rip off lol. All in all, enjoyed the food and would reccomend

We’re from Preston and was staying with friends. Food was excellent both times. Deliveey on time too. Hoping Kalabash start a franchise. We could do with one up North.

Very disappointed this time. I used to order regularly from this place. Their portion was better and cheaper, now they put price up and portions down. This time i have ordered large oxtail meal which was 10(now 12 quid) and i have received box of rice and peas,2 small pieces of meat and 5 bare bones! These guys have to watch out what they put in customers boxes! I didn't ordered bones for my dogs this meal was for me. However they lost me here and this probably is the last time i order from them. Absolute rip off!

The Aki and saltfish was dry no gravy and what I got for a large was not worth the money soup was not even a full cup for I thought things have changed so I've tried them again but this time I will not be going back and ordering from them again even though some of the foods good the portions not worth the money

I fully enjoyed the food ! Arrived hot and steaming, packaged well, great portion sizes. My 3 year old son ate most of my pepper steak 😆 So mumma was left with rice 🥴 I will eat his brown stew chicken tomorrow 😆

Disgusting, no meat on the oxtail. Definitely has been microwaved from yesterday couldn’t even bite in to the plantain because it was so hard and burnt. DO NOT ORDER

Delicious, another quality meal, respects. So it pains me to have to nitpick but, a little more sauce on the stew chicken & rice wouldn't go amiss. Otherwise it's perfect food, portion size and price!

The mutton smelt off and not fresh. The chicken wings container they came in, were full a watery jelly substance. I put them in the bin. Never again! A wasted time, money and effort.

I did order the ackee and salt fish potion but got it with rice and peas so wasn't much ackee unfortunately but did taste lovely as always

Sad to say the rice was a bit dry (and also lukewarm), made worse by the lack of curry sauce with the goat meat, but then again the portion size was to me about 15-20% larger for the price than most Caribbean places, so I'm not complaining toooo much. A thank you to the driver who was polite and delivered with a smile
