Kokoro Morden in Merton

Usually quite like kokoro but the food we got from this branch was not up to their standards. It was tasteless and undercooked. Disappointed.

I literally walk in to buy something with a drink in my hand and I got stop at the entrance by q woman thinking I was stealing I was felling so bad and people looked at me like a thief so please check your stuff to don't judge some just because they look and go out

Normally I order the take away from here via Deliveroo . I always had an ok experience until today when the salmon used for sushi was not fresh and tested very bad .I will not order again

A delightful experience awaits at kokoro where the flavours of sushi are masterfully executed with fresh ,high quality ingredient. Believe me the sushi where perfectly balanced and beautiful presentation. Service was outstanding the girl name manita wow she was grateful and obviously every staffs . Thank you for the service and food .

I wish owners of Kokoro Morden choose to hire workers who are friendly and deliver exceptional customer service because the experience I had when ordering food wasn't great. I felt as if they are doing me a favour instead of the other way around. Should have gone to KFC instead - at least there you know can get "thank yous" from the staff. It wasn't like it was so busy that you can understand the attitude. Won't be coming back. Please, to owners of Kokoro, make sure your staff are trained properly.

This was my first time visit a Kokoro. Sadly the service was poor.

I recently visited Kokoro and, unfortunately, my experience with the food was disappointing. The rice was hard and seemed undercooked, which made it difficult to enjoy. The chicken was also not up to standard – it lacked flavour and didn't taste fresh. I expected better quality from a place like Kokoro, especially given its reputation. I hope they can improve on this in the future.

I ate at kokoro today and found multiple strands of hair in my food, it wasn’t mine I have black 4c hair the hair was long and brown and straight, after confronting staff, the manager laughed. He found it funny, the level of contamination is insane.

I did a take away for chicken curry . It was delicious katsu curry and right amount curry . Fast service and kind staff . Will visit again .

Best Sushi ever, My son loves it so much ,Sushi are so fresh ,price also cheaper than other sushi restaurants,highly recommended .

the food was as in the photo, the sauce was almost none, the rice was hard, the service was not nice and incompetent. Food cold.

The staff there are always friendly - however I have to say the prices has sky rocketed there and when you buy a large - the food is equivalent to a regular size container ,even with the increase. This is not fair to the customers.

Deliveroo fee is 0.49, service fee is 1.15, what does it mean to force tips from the customer??? What a great disgrace.

I love kokoro sushi, sweet chilli chicken noodles, prawn tempuras and the gyoza! These are my top recommendations.

I ordered sweet and sour chicken with rice. It was a good sized portion with plenty of chicken but not enough sauce. I found myself eating plain white rice on occasion because it so hard to mix it in the small container. I think the sauce should be layered with the rice, for a more even distribution.

Excellent food - been going to Kokoro for about 5 to 6 years across the UK. Really appetising with incredible portions. Highly recommend Salmon Teriyaki & Sweet Chilli Chicken. The sushi is good too, but the hot food is better for the pricing!

I came in late today (Saturday eve) around 7.30pm looking for cucumber maki that my daughter requested. They were unfortunately out of stock, which I understood as it was late. I asked just in case and was told apologetically that they were sold out. I said thank you and was about to leave when another lady member of staff overheard my asking and said she could make me a box in a few moments! Wow, exceptional customer service! Both front of house ladies were helpful kind and friendly. I really loved that while I waited for my udon I saw them helping each other out to get delivery orders done quickly. Positive teamwork! Highly recommended

Me and my friend bought the noodles rice and chicken on our lunch break yesterday this morning woke up with upset stomach but brushed it of..I arrived at work and I was stuck in and out the toilet all morning coming out from both ends to the point we had to leave work early because we were in that much pain and using the toilet majority of the time …we then returned to the shop and I asked the kind lady who served us yesterday to speak to the manager, he was very rude and told me he wants to see a hospital report I explained to him this is the only food we ate yesterday and that’s what it’s done to us we where trying to make him aware he then turnt and said to us we are the only ones complaining and rudely walked of back to the kitchen I honestly am so shocked at the way he spoke to paying customers will never be eating there again…… SAVE YOUR MONEY PLEASE STAY AWAY

Kokoro policy is 50/50 regarding rice noodles etc and whatever else you choose from the menu. So why I’m getting 70% rice and 30% topping ? I have been a customer from day one here I think is time to say goodbye!

Shop is big and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Food is average, katsu is not really crunchy and rice is a bit soggy.

This is a nice cosy place with delicious cuisine, I had the fried prawn option, and it was ok, but for the price, I expected more than 2 battered prawns. I wish they had more vegetarian and pescatarian options. The price was a bit high.

I like their All Salmon Love set! It is succulent and has just the right amount of sushi for a perfect lunch. Will return and would recommend.

The food was disgusting. It’s clearly been frozen and slightly defrosted as the main dish was all clumped together, congealed and tasted off. I’ve ordered once before from the Wimbledon branch and it was slightly better but not by much. I thought that might be a one off, clearly not. Sheer lazy money grabbing restaurant, doesn’t deserve the rating it has, whether that’s bots who knows because if you want an over priced Asian uninspired meal that gives you a bad stomach / mild food poisoning, order from Kokoro.

First time visiting Kokoro for the wife. Ordered some noodles take away...but they forget to add the sauce to the noodles. Least to say the wife was not too happy with the service. We have gone back to Kwok!

If you like a lot of food and heavy spicy food this is the place to be visited first time enjoy the food

Always nice food, recently prices are increasing dramatically. It looks like every time I go is more expensive. The food is reliable, tasty and generally fresh. Spice pork is delicious, but if you are not used to hot 🔥 for skip it. The only complaint would be that is hard to eat from a full bowl. (the portion is good the bowl is small)

Been to lots of Kokoro. This is same nice clean store, but the taste of my favorite spicy pork is different - no soy sauce and less spicy. I enjoy it either way! And their salmon sashimi is always fresh.

Lovely food. Very good portion sizes. Can't fault it on the times I've been there.

I bought sushi there yesterday. Unfortunately my sashimi wasn’t good. It did stink and taste funny. Lucky me I used to work in sushi place many years ago, I love sushi so I know how it should taste. Otherwise I could get poisoned. Already second time happened my sushi was old. First time in Crawley site. So I won’t be never back again 👎🏻👎🏻

The place is spacious, a couple tables to dine in. Food is prepared quickly and is really tasty

Spicy pork is nice but the spice level is 10/10 should come with a warning sign not alot of people could enjoy this type of heat but tasted Nice abit overpowered with coriander

Me and my partner ordered from this establishment through Deliveroo and ordered a Chicken Katsu Udon. Only thing that makes a Chicken Katsu Udon this meal is Chicken and was missing from our meal. So will not be ordering again from this restaurant. If I could give negative stars I would.

The hot food is good. The cold food especially sushi is poor standard. The sushi from the Kingston and Wimbledon branches are much better quality especially with the quality of the rice. They don't provide fresh wasabi or ginger either as these are packet ones.

Sushi is overpriced for it's quality and the fridged gyozas have a hard, stale texture at the folds. Hot food is ok but half the time the chicken tastes processed or like it's been constantly microwaved. They also charge 10p for a small bag to takeaway your food in. Why not just change to paper bags like everyone else? There is an alternative sushi & bento chain called "Wasabi" which is way better and gives more sushi for the same price.

Love the sweet chilli chicken with noodles and a couple of tempura prawns at this place, nice place to relax

👎 While the food & decor were pleasant enough when I visited today at 5pm, the enormously unhelpful staff member refused to provide a cup of tap water I needed to take my tablets, then tried to charge me 50p for it. Employing such unhelpful and surly people really damaged what would otherwise have been a pleasant experience. I won't ever return 👎

Worst service in my entire life !!!! I was waiting for an hour just so my order gets confirmed, I called them and they were extremely rude and hang up the phone on me. So I called again, told them that was unacceptable and that I wanted to talk with the manager and they hang up on me again. Never seen such awful and rude service! Never Ever ordering from them again!!

Food was absolutely amazing, we went there just before closing and the food was still super fresh 😋

Attended today at 4pm and i could ignore them microwaving my noodles BUT it the lack of customer service and rude staff member that will effectively mean i am unlikely to return to the morden branch. I asked for the name of the rude staff member and was met with "i just started here so dont know her name". Happily will continue to going to the tooting branch instead.

Great lunch spot in Morden, have only tried one dish but will definitely return to try other dishes. I had the Spicy Pork with Rice one of their signature dishes. A collaboration of shredded pork collar with a hint of soy sauce, coriander and chilli – creating an explosion of flavour. It's rather hot. Will definitely be back to try more dishes.

Love the chicken katsu curry and rice, always a favourite! The large portion is worth the extra quid as you get a lot more chicken! If ordering takeaway, make sure you get the curry sauce in a separate cup otherwise it will dry up quickly if mixed.

Always been a fan of kokoro so super glad that they opened a branch in Morden! Super friendly service and great food as usual! This branch is bigger than the other branches nearby (Wimbledon and Sutton) and have a nice seating area.

Mouthwatering food and caring service. My mum really wanted their crabstick seaweed salad, but there unfortunately weren't any on the shelves. We asked if they happened to have any in the back, and they said they were happy to make us one! It only took five minutes and was just a very kind move. Their sushi tastes great and their pots from this location so far have been top notch — especially the katsu curries!

Arrived 11am for open day and they was shut. 😒 Said they would open 12pm. Shame. Was looking so forward to it. Went back home. Next time then!
