Ordered the chicken sarma beyti recently on Uber eats and was very pleasantly surprised. Cannot fault the food at all. Delicious and will be coming back to eat in person.

Decent food, liked the service, albeit slow in a week night. Lots of regulars, parking close by. Lots of choice. Plenty of traditional options.

Food was good and I would go back for sure. There is parking just across the street and portion sizes are good. I would recommend to friends and family.

Excellent food. Made very welcome, even just for a coffee in the morning. Went back later that evening for dinner. Waitress welcomed us back when she saw us at night.

This restaurant is under new owners and i can honestly say myself and my family had the worst experience last night whilst out for a meal for my Mums birthday. Firstly they sat us right outside the toilets, you can only imagine the wift that passed everytime someone opened the door. We complained about this and was told as we booked a table for 10 this was the only place they could seat us, really gross and quiet surprised this was even a seating area, right outside the toilet 'GROSS' not to mention the area they had placed us was blocking the fire exit therefore im certain this shouldnt have been a seating area for guest. Secondly the cocktails were very watered down, i was a regular when this restaurant was Istanbul and the cocktails were 10/10, very sweet and strong. Thirdly the food was of very low standards, something was wrong or missing from almost everyones meal. Not to mention the food was not brought out all together, between the first person recieving there food and the last person must of been 45 min gap. Appaling. My sister ordered Mix Kebab 3 and they gave her mixed Kebab 4 and said they would bring her out a few more bits that was part of the meal on a seperate plate lol. We complained to the manager who was very abrupt, rude and not helpful. However the kind waiter who served us aplogised for our awful experience and waived the service charge off the bill. Also mentioned that many people had complaints that night about the food and service so we wasnt the only ones. I would 100% NOT recommend this Lava lounge. Bring back Istanbul and its owners, staff, and chef then i will be back.

Dismal under seasoned food for sky high prices. Vile Zone three, you'd be better off in the multiple Pakistani restaurants in tooting! Will never be back.

Best shisha in town! And amazing food!

Went there for a date and had a great time. Great atmosphere, great customer service and the most important amazing food and cocktail. The shisha was really good and the flavour lasted really long. Will definitely be visiting again. Thank you Lava team for the hospitality.

Group celebration, staff was well attentive, the food was delicious, well seasoned, tasty and fresh. We ordered the Istanbul Family Special pack with the cold starter, which was an excellent size for my family sharing. Also, the individual portion is a good size plate of food. It was my family first time visiting and definitely it wouldn't be their last. We recommend this restaurant for the food, ambience and entertainment.

Went for a friends leaving do. Lots of us there and service was great. Food came in good time as did the drinks. Food was hot fresh and tasted great. Belly dancer came out later on which was fun. Hope to return.

Went as a 30 person Christmas party. Dont believe they had the right amount of staff to cater to a party of people that large and also their normal patrons. The wait times between the food was very long (I understand that we were a big group but it goes back to I don't think they had the capacity to cater to that many people which is fine, just don't book big parties). When the food came, the protons were quite good but the flavours weren't that great. Overly salty for most dishes. We were sat in the back area which is basically outside but covered, don't think the heaters were enough as it was freezing and multiple of us had coats on for the majority of the night. When it came to pay, that was a bit of a mess as people had bought drinks and the staff weren't really keeping track of everything. Not good overall.

Went with a group of friends from work for Christmas dinner and it was nice...we even hit the dance floor too so it was good fun.

Horrible service, would not recommend coming here with a big group. Had a reservation for 30 people and was welcomed in a very rushed manner, one waitress is particular - who also happened to be the manager, was rushing us to order drinks, talking to us very unprofessionally and talked to us in a childish manner and said “here’s your bill, work it out yourselves”. Of course that’s expected with a big group, but the need to announce it not once but twice - is very disrespectful. A pitcher of tap water was spilt all over the table and wet out items on the floor, which wasn’t mopped up after either. While the food is great - service is so un accommodating and not worth a return to this place.

I came here for my birthday on a recommendation from a friend of mine, the main food was lovelyyy and tasty and very flavoursome however the dessert was not a hit AT ALL they were very dry so i definitely would not recommend the dessert. There was a belly dancer, and she was very good and very engaging with customers. Would I come back again? Yes but skip the desserts!!! I have added the pictures of the desserts which Looked sooo good but tasted very bad, dont be deceived.

Great food and atmosphere at Istanbul Meze really enjoyed the time here great on a Friday night lots of food on the menu.. We ordered desert and weren’t up too standard and they sorted it out straight away and gave a refund.. good evening here worth a try! Visité el restaurante el 29 de junio con algunos amigos para cenar. La comida era deliciosa, y los cócteles eran geniales también. Nos encantó la bailarina del vientre. Mientras estaba en el restaurante me enfermé - esto no se debió a nada que había comido o bebido. El personal era increíble, después de darse cuenta de que no estaba bien, realmente me cuidaron, me dieron un poco de agua, se sentaron conmigo, me ofrecieron una ambulancia, e incluso revisaron mi presión arterial! Eran brillantes. Gracias a todo el personal que me atendió estoy muy agradecido.

I ordered a donor over for the phone for collection I specifically said with chilli and garlic source and the guy said yes it comes with it. I get home and there’s no sources. I call them for a solution as I don’t want to have go out again and he said there’a nothing he can do. Very bad service as I’m a local customer.

Fui a este restaurante el viernes por la noche con otros 2. El aparcamiento estaba lleno, y después de haber leído acerca de la multa de £ 60 si vamos sobre el aparcamiento gratuito de 2 horas al otro lado de la carretera, optamos por aparcamiento en la calle cercana en su lugar. Fácil de encontrar. Llegamos un poco tarde (tráfico alrededor de Colliers Wood) y estábamos sentados a su llegada. No hay problemas. Pedimos entrantes compartidos para 2 , y comida especial Estambul para 2 también. La comida llegó en 30 minutos y nos quedamos gratamente sorprendidos. ¡Las porciones eran enormes! No estábamos allí para la bailarina del vientre, pero de todos modos llegó a las 9 . 10 pm. La música se aceleró y se puso un poco fuerte, pero a otros parecía gustarles la experiencia. Fue rechazado después de su aparición de 15 a 20 minutos. El servicio era de primera. Realmente no puedo quejarme de nada. Justo antes de irnos, fuimos a “echar un vistazo” a la habitación / área de shisha y fuimos recibidos por el propietario del restaurante que era simplemente encantador - muy educado, amable y hablador. Tenemos la intención de volver a este encantador restaurante. No puedo creer que casi no fui debido a todas las críticas negativas!

Had the Main mousakka so was quite filled up..I liked the bread Partner had Mixed Kebab .. We went rather early so was empty Food just enough for me as we tend to order too Much as Partner took her doner meat home in doggy bag ....they have a decent size garden so would be buzzing in the cool summer evenings

This restaurant is absolutely spectacular. I came here for my 16th birthday with 50 other guests and the venue was able to accommodate us all in their beautiful garden space. The atmosphere was perfect, from the staff, to the belly dancer, to the food- it was absolutely brilliant. They were so accommodating and even played my playlist on one of their busiest nights. I truly just want to say a big thank you for everything and I don’t think words can describe how lovely this restaurant is, the atmosphere, vibes and food are all on point, I would highly recommend this restaurant. A good place to meet friends and eat delicious food. I strongly recommend.

We visited the restaurant yesterday. The leftovers were packed to get it home. When I opened at home found a whole white feather. 🪶 I emailed them from the website but the email is totally other restaurant. So here I will attach the photo. I know is really busy place but to find a whole feather is really gross. And the toilets are so bad. The staff are good. Never again there.

Do not visit this place the waiter was so rude he took our order and kept on saying we are shutting soon he was strange i actually should of put a complaint in about him please don’t waste your money going here you would get better service at mc Donald’s, the food was cold and bland .

We were a party of 13 and we're not offered drinks on arrival so after 20 minutes we had to ask waiter. We ordered starters and mains together and after 30 mins the starters arrived. The food was ok but could have been better. We then waited approximately 2 hours for our mains and kept asking when we would get them and they kept saying that they were on the way. When the food eventually arrived, it was dumped on the table and they didn't tell us what they were so we had to sort that out for ourselves. Everybody's food was wrong, half the table had no cutlery and the sauces we asked for never appeared. Nobody asked if our food was ok as I think they were scared what the answer would be. No one enjoyed the meal as you could tell by how much food went back to the kitchen. 1 of our party asked for a glass of water 3 times over the space of 1 hour 30 minutes and this didn't arrive until just before we were leaving. The bad service I could have dealt with but bad food in a restaurant is just not acceptable. (The lamb tasted like cardboard). We were there for my husbands and my birthday family meal and all I can say is that our birthdays were spoilt and we will never get that back. When we complained they did knock some money off the bill and they brought up a small cake and a bottle of prosecco and 2 glasses. (There were 13 people in our party) Were we supposed to share it between all of us?. We were recommended this restaurant and needless to say neither my husband or I or any of our party will ever return. It is the only time I have left a restaurant feeling hungry. If you are thinking of booking a table for anything over 4 people don't bother, as the staff don't seem able to cope with bigger parties. It was such a shame as we had been looking forward to celebrating our birthdays with our family at a restaurant we had not been to before, but the night was ruined and we will never get that back. Took my girl out for a lovely dinner here which she's never been before and she enjoyed it just as myself it's my 3rd time going and never been disappointed going back in 2wks for my bday lol 😆 hoping to catch the belly dancing along with some shisha we had such a lovely time atmosphere was lovely staff lovely just what we needed as a treat to ourselves.

We celebrated my 50th birthday and booked the place at Colliers Wood branch on March 15, 2024 which is a Friday. There is belly dancing during Fridays and Saturdays. We have ordered a lot of the family platter menu whilst waiting for the highlight of the evening which is belly dancing which was scheduled at 9:30pm when we asked one of servers. Then 9:30pm came, no sign of a belly dancer; we asked another server and he said that she’s not coming at all. When we asked another server, he was saying maybe around 15mins wait…when we asked the manager - he’s now saying that the belly dancer called in sick and doesn’t even know the reason as to why dhe was sick. Our group of 16 people has waited for ages to be disappointed in the end. Very poor service. No consistency even with simple communication issue.

Arrived at this place, near the station, to meet with some friends. I needed badly to relieve my bladder, and I ran into the toilet (the entrance was so dark and with little light, and the wall and everything were BLACK).. nearly smashed into a wall..I still have my dark glasses from outside.. lol.. after I found the door.. the toilet (male at least, haven't ventured in the girls one...) is BLACK with everything BLACK with a sink that will find itself at ease in a 70's acid ridded disk club...interesting. The seat was broken and the general feeling was of...untidiness. got out and chatted friends until the food got cold (my bad). The doner was tasty. The place is..meh.. nothing particularly wow (apart the loo.. if you come here I suggest it to be your first stop) .. another complaint is that I asked for mint leaves tea (that should be pretty standard in these type of restaurants). I got a tea pot with hot water and some scattered mint leaves in. And a very narrow glass to drink it. Problem was that if you put the leaves and do not put a.. filter or something, they will clog the exit of the teapot.. and the tea will go everywhere (and that's EXACTLY what happened!!). Apart that.. prices are little high end for the did abs the vibe of the place. But still can try it if you are in the area and you like psychedelic toilets!!!

I had a very bad experience with my family the food was cold and horrible we were sick and we hated the food we will never ever go to that place again and the the service was very poor and I contact the manager, he did not want to know it’s horrible

We went to have fun with my friends, but the music was so loud that we could neither have fun nor hear each other. Even though we said this, we were ignored. Since it was a Turkish restaurant, we requested Turkish songs, but our requests were definitely not taken seriously. It is no longer a place I would recommend and come to again because the most important thing is customer satisfaction 👎🏽👎🏽

This is the restaurant we have been going to many times.My complaint stems from the music being played. It's played so loudly that we can't even hear our own voices at the table. This was very disturbing. It is a Turkish restaurant but the music playing is irrelevant and very loud. The same playlist keeps coming back. I want this issue to be given a little more attention. We ordered kunefe for dessert. The cheese inside came frozen.

We went for dinner with our friends and frankly we were not very satisfied. First of all, the music played in the venue has nothing to do with the venue. I understand that many foreigners go there other than Turks, but it is a Turkish restaurant and it would be more appropriate for Turkish music to be played. Almost no Turkish songs were played. We were only able to open a song upon request, but frankly, as a Turk who goes to a Turkish restaurant, I was very disturbed by this, after all, I did not go there as an Arab or an Arab. I don't go there to listen to Hindi music. Another complaint I have is that the music is quite loud. It was disturbingly loud and it was impossible for us to hear each other, and when we expressed our discomfort to one of the waiters, he told us that he would not turn down the music and I find this disrespectful, after all, customer satisfaction should come first. As for the food, the dessert we ordered was kunefe and it took longer to arrive than it should have, but the dessert was cold and the cheese inside was frozen. Frankly, as a Turk living abroad, it was disappointing to experience such a "Turkish" restaurant.

Great food, very big portion for a good price!

Very pleasant meal. Reasonably priced. Good turkish food. It was my friends birthday. Wish I'd known that they celebrate people's birthdays.

We always enjoy a good dinner in this lovely restaurant. My partner and I do not eat a lot in one sitting, and we always opt to go for one main course to share with other bits on the side to keep it interesting, also because they have big portion sizes too! Fridays and Saturdays are fun as they have a belly dancer in the evening time, plus you are able to enjoy a shisha as well. Book a table on weekends, as is it very likely you won't get one as a walk-in customer.

When I made the order, I asked the dessert to be served with my coffee. Everything was served in a very weird order. They brought my coffee with my cold starter. The cold starter was seved without the bread for several minutes. The coffee and kunefe were with notes for no sugar and ice cream on the kunefe. They serve me sweet coffee and kunefe with no ice cream it was also not freshly made. The waiter didn't bother coming to our table to check if things were well. Waited for him to come around to ask for the bill. However, my husband had to find him because it was already 20 min. We asked to take the bread, takeaway. The waiter brought some boxes and put them on the table and asked to sort them ourself. Basic ethics were missing. We will not visit this place anymore.
