Great food, very authentic. Staff were very helpful when we lost our Oyster card too! Also has raw marinated crab!!

Overall, the taste and atmosphere seem to be good, the staff is always cheerful and the service is good.

First time visiting this restaurant and had an amazing time!! Was struggling to choose my meals when the manager kindly explained the options as well as the most popular. The food was so good and the service from staff was immaculate. Manager kept checking up on us and ensured we had everything we needed. 100% recommend for families :)

This is the best Korean food in New Malden. In particular, the seasoned crab sauce was fantastic. The service was very good and I will go again with my family next time.

Visited with friends. It was hella busy but the staff made a table for us quickly and we got a korean bbq, naengmyeon and tteok-bokki which was all delicious. Even finished all the side dishes. Will be back soon

I went there with my family yesterday, and the tall woman who served us cooked the meat so well and was so friendly that we enjoyed it very much. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was great.

We’ve been returning customers at this restaurant for years, but unfortunately, this visit will be our last. The food was actually quite good, especially the fried chicken, but everything else was disappointingly bad. Firstly, the prices need to be looked at. Nearly £30 for four thin strips of meat is simply not fair, even for central London. But the worst part was the service. At a Korean barbecue, it’s expected that customers cook their food to their liking. Instead, utensils were snatched from us and food was thrown onto the table with a clear attitude. The atmosphere was tense and uncomfortable the whole time. Things got even worse when it was time to pay. After spending over £170, the older female waitress tried to sneak in a further service charge without telling us, even after we tipped. When we asked about it, she repeatedly snatched the card machine, causing the payment to “cancel” four times, all while publicly scolding the younger male waiter, who was polite and helpful. To the two older female staff members: please be kind and respectful to all customers. This felt deliberately deceptive and unprofessional. Adding charges without consent is unacceptable, almost like theft. The food might still be good, but no meal is worth that level of disrespect and discomfort. We won’t be coming back. Please seriously review your service practices.

I first went to Jin Go Gae maybe about 2 years ago and really enjoyed the food. I went again recently to try it out again as I was in the area. I ordered various dishes such as pajeon, pork belly bossam, bulgogi, kimchi jiggae , tteok-bokki , a beef meat to be grilled ,a beef short rib soup, fried chicken wings and garlic ganjang wings. Everything was decent but nothing was particularly amazing either. My favourite thing was probably the beef dish that was grilled and the only thing I didn’t really like were the wings , other than that everything was fine. Service was good, our waitress was friendly and the food came out quickly.

Dropped by for a workday lunch, and it’s quite a bargain (though what’s the point of a £8.99, and only accepting cash?) The cod cheek broth was piping hot with an umami flavor. The restaurant is spacious and cozy, but the waiters seemed to be more interested in groups of customers than me visiting alone.

I had delivered Galbitang from this restaurant before and this is my first visit the restaurant. It was Saturday and I booked a table one day before but they didn’t prep for reservation table when I arrived. So I had to waiting near the kitchen until they’re prepared my table. And that time, most of staffs are very aggressive to me because they were so busy to carrying dishes and orders but there are nothing for waiting people. This is very wrong!! I have booked a table! Not walk in!! At least they have to make a table for a reservation customers. Besides, food was so expensive and disappointed!! I ate Korean BBQ menu-marinade pork and beef… meat quality was so bad. The grill was easy to got burn which means they have to take care of it more carefully but they were really busy with customers… they need to more staffs at least weekend evening I guess. That’s why staffs were looks so tired and very angry especially servers ladies. I won’t go this restaurant again!! And please don’t go this restaurant!! There must be a Korean restaurant in London with better service than this one. Hopefully 🤞

Really authentic Korean food and delicious dishes too! I will definitely be back.

I went here today for the first time today and it was so good. The atmosphere was lovely and I felt I so cozy and looked after. The kimchi is the best I have ever had. I went to New Maldon for the Korean supermarket and treated myself to lunch. I am so glad I did as it was food for my soul. My waiter was very kind and helpful and even though I was on my own I didn’t feel out of place. I have decided that once a month I am going for supplies and I will have lunch here again so I can try the whole menu.

Some of the best korean food in London. Had gejang, gyeranjjim, kimchi bokkeumbap and more! Well worth the trip!

If the service wasn’t so slow (we did go on the 23rd and I guess they were spread thin) I would’ve rated them a 5 in all categories - the atmosphere was tense because of the service. Delicious food - we ordered the beef bulgogi (this is our staple order every time we’re here) and galbi (yummmm) for the main course and the prawn tempura along with Kimchi as starters. Excellent food ! Highly recommend a visit if you like Korean cuisine!

The taste was good overall, but not as good as I expected. (The taste of the gamjatang was boring, and the crab soup had a thick shell, which was different from Korean crab, so it was difficult to eat it.) I also had a problem with the kimchi, so I politely told them, but the owner's way of dealing with it was cold, so it honestly wasn't a comfortable atmosphere while eating. Yes. This is my personal opinion, but if you treat your guests a little more warmly, I think they will eat more and leave with a good heart.

I’ve ordered hotpot for grown ups for dinner and it looked great but when I tried it, it tasted too too sweet! I think they put sugar instead of salt otherwise it wouldn’t be tasted like that… so sad :(

We ordered takeaway away. We ordered the spicy squid, the Bang Bang Chicken (half fried half glazed) and the meat dumplings. I'm sorry to say but they all taste not fresh... Especially the fried chicken it was very soggy and it is very oily. It didn't taste fresh. I will try not to order from this restaurant. I hope the restaurant will work on the food quality.

Well known old establishment in New Maden/Raynes Park area as good authentic Korean BBQ. On our last visit we decided to opt in for non-BBQ option which was a sharing spicy seafood soup (jjampong) and Yangyum chicken. To my surprise they served us a spicy raw crab as a side dish which is real delicacies and not easy to find in the UK Korean restaurants. All dishes were super tasty and even had to order extra rice thanks to the raw crab. I love coming here and also recommend to those after an authentic charcoal K-BBQ experience.

Seems to be very popular with the local Korean community. I'm no expert on Korean food, but it was very tasty and the staff were extremely helpful assisting with navigating the menu.

Love Jin Go Gae! The complimentary starters, especially the Kimchi, are really, really good and have a homemade, authentic quality. We particularly like the Spicy Pork stone bowl rice and hand cut Korean style noodles in a seafood broth. Atmosphere is comfortable, family friendly, there are lots of options on the menu and food arrives quickly. Staff are attentive and caring - we look forward to our next visit Kim! :)

Food came quick and it was all very tasty, the staff are really nice and provide really good service, the spicy crab was delicious, had to repeat the dish! The Galbitang is amazing and Daegu bol dish also recommend.

Koreans prepare very authentic Korean food, which is as good as what you eat in Korea. The food is full of heat, the quality is maintained at a high level, the service is friendly, and you can laugh and talk happily.

Best Korean restaurant in London

The staff was so rude. I was surprised at how they served so rudely and had no manners when I saw them taking orders from the table next to us. And the chicken we ordered came out 10 minutes after we ordered, so we were surprised at how quickly it was served, but when we took a bite, it was so cold that we realized it wasn't freshly made. After that, they served new food, but we paid and left without eating the food. This was the worst Korean restaurant I've been to in London.

Kimchi quality was terrible. It was too old. This quality of Kimch, we do not eat even ordinary korean homes. During the BBQ time the staff did not supported us at all.

I tried a variety of dishes here from the Korean BBQ, to fried chicken, to pajeon. Everything was tasty. Having someone cook the BBQ for you at the table was handy especially when you have small children to look after. They even change the griddle plate regularly to prevent smokeyness in the restaurant which is also a nice touch. I just wish they would grill the meats at a slightly higher temp - the grill wasn't hot enough to char the meat. Other than that, everything was tasty

Been drawn to visiting this place as they sell spicy raw crab. Decided to go all out with the family, found some dishes overpriced like their vegetable dish and chicken Katsu. The most disappointing bit is that the spicy raw crab tasted like ammonia, decided to take it home and order another one to compare whether it was just an dodgy batch and eat in the comfort of my own home. Both batch tasted like ammonia, googled to why this could be and it mentions that this come be signs of old crabs rather than fresh (or freshly defrosted) which is worrying and I didn’t feel it was safe to continue eating.

Authentic Korean food, great variety of dishes with all the staples plus some known only to Korean families (for example kal-guk-su is a homemade noodle soup that I can either cook myself or find in restaurants in Korea only, it’s the first time I see it in a menu in England). We loved eating here.

My husband brought me two bowls of Samgyetang yesterday, and I was really disappointed because I've had good experiences with the Galbi Tang. You only need two things to make a good Samgyetang: fresh ingredients and time. You don't need a special recipe, special skills magic touch so called 'SonMat' in Korean. But the first thing I noticed was the smell. It wasn't the fragrant aroma of fresh chicken, ginseng, and other medicinal ingredients, but the smell of simmering and boiling over and over again. It's not easy for chicken to smell like this. You can say that it's a long simmer, but in this case, it was not just a long simmer, but an unnecessary off-flavour that comes from multiple simmers. To cover up this unpleasant smell, the broth was very salty. Secondly, the rice inside the chicken was non- glutinous rice and it didn't taste like it was cooked with uncooked rice, which would have cooked and infused the flavours of the chicken and the broth, but the rice inside the chicken was a white, textureless substance that had no flavour or texture. My son and I, both of us being huge Samgyetang lovers, ate a tiny wing and a leg and left it all behind, despite how hungry we were.

Service was a bit slow, catered more towards the bigger tables. But food was good.

The food was so delicious and fantastic, and the staff's attitude was so warm. I will go again in the future.

Spicy raw crab, a big surprise!

Had the korean bbq and other dishes. I recommend the Wang galbi and daeji galbi. The table next to us asked us what we got because it smelled/looked really good. Was a bit on the expensive side (around 40~60£ per person) but service was excellent and they changed the grilled very often for us.

I used to hold this Korean restaurant in high regard. While the complimentary side dishes (ban chan) are still a nice touch, the quality of the meats has significantly declined. The restaurant uses coal for their Korean BBQ, which sounds great in theory, but the lack of flame meant the meats were slowly cooking on the grill, missing that essential charred flavour. Our order: ⭕️ Galbi Tang: Their famous beef short rib soup was mild in flavour, though it had a generous portion of meat. It was comforting but lacked the depth and richness I was hoping for. The broth was clear and hearty with a good meat-to-broth ratio. ⭕️ Tteokbokki: The rice cakes in spicy sauce had good, authentic flavours. However, the dish was heavy on onions and only had a couple of pieces of fishcake, which felt a bit unbalanced. The vibrant red sauce promised heat and flavour, but the imbalance in ingredients was a letdown. ❌ Korean BBQ (King Rib and Pork Belly): The quality of the meat was poor. The king rib was chewy and lacked tenderness, while the pork belly was very standard. The slow cooking on the grill didn’t help, leaving the meats underwhelming. Visually, the BBQ meats on the grill missed the appealing char you usually forward to with KBBQ, leading to a presentation that didn’t quite match the expected flavours. I wouldn’t recommend visiting for Korean BBQ, but some of the cooked dishes might still be worth trying if you’re in the area. Saying this, it’s no longer worth making a special trip.

Having visited this restaurant 6 years ago and enjoyed it I was looking forward to it having returned from an extended absence. 6 years on the decoration is a little tired outside. The interior has remained largely the same with a sense of familiarity. The food was just as good as I remembered and it was nice to eat there. The Chapchae was good was the Kimchi Chigae, the Pajeon was nice just like the ones i had in Czech republic in a Korean restaurant and when i worked in Korea. Maybe Ill try Pudichigae next time im there though I do make my own. :) The Korean tea was nice as i hadn't had it for soo long. I do miss a good Gakdogi with my noodles, authenthic Tteok-bokki but what i missed most was Dotori-muk and Yukwa. Ill visit again when im in the area. Maybe you should too.

Didn’t enjoy this food. Really not good. £3.99 for some salad leaves .. wow. The cucumber kimchi was very hard definitely not soft. Or pickled . Just a pile of hot paste and onions on top of towers of cucumbers. The chicken was ok . Too much batter . Oh well !! Never mind

I ordered a Korean traditional food called 'SunDae' like Scottish black pudding. The price is 19 pounds. We can not eat this, looks like disgusting and texture like very slimey and finally taste like (I can not find a word ) soggy mash potato with pot noodle soup powder base. Before I ordered I asked how much portion would be, a man said it is about 1.5 person portion. He did not explain one third would be terrible SunDae, 2 third would be sliced liver/kidney/pig ear. When the other man packed and passed to me SunDae, he did not say a word at all. Very unfriendly. Steamed Spare Ribs was too sweet. I do not think a cook does not know how to. Very disappointed at this time for last 20 years experience where I visited here.

Food is good, but always feel hurried eating here as they are so keen to turn the tables over. Part of the pleasure of eating BBQ is that food is cooked at the table and eaten at the best moment. That is somewhat ruined when servers come over and puts raw meat onto cooked meat in order to hurry us along.

Birthday lunch with the girls and we enjoyed the lovely meal, and the quick and efficient service. Would love to come back again. The staff and crew were amazing.

Food was average, Korean fried chicken was too greasy flavourless and bulgogi was tough. Staff were really helpful and kind but there’s much better bbq restaurants in new Malden.

Galbitang is a must, the soup was clear, not greasy and flavourful. Haemul pajeon was crispy but lack of flavour and the beef quality wasn’t great which is disappointing because they were quite expensive compared to the other dishes. Would definitely return for the galbitang and to try the pork bbq and hotpot dishes.

I experienced a terrible dining experience today. I made a reservation for 7 o'clock in advance. Because I was dining with children, I confirmed the dining seats in advance before driving there with my family. When we arrived at the restaurant on time, there was a long queue and I was told that all table reservations have to queue. We had to wait, and I was extremely disappointed to learn that there were still people in the queue who had made reservations at 6:30pm and had not yet served. I went to the restaurant to inquire about reservations, but no one answered. I asked how long I would have to wait, but no one answered. I understand that the restaurant is busy on Saturdays, but if you have a confirmed reservation, it cannot be fulfilled. Very disappointing as the little kid was very hungry and had to leave the restaurant. Terrible service, will never come back. Everyone have the booking in advance need to pray the god you will have seats.

We booked a table for 4 people at 7 o'clock. When we arrived at the restaurant at 7 o'clock, there was a long queue. The people in the restaurant ignored us and pretended to be deaf and dumb. The people who had booked for 6:30 in front of us had not yet eaten, so we left angrily.

Even though there weren't many customers, they put five of us in a four-person seat, and while we were eating yakiniku, smoke rose, and a female waitress came over and said, ``Please decide your order now.If you want to order, please use the grill.'' I'll exchange it, but if you don't order it, I won't exchange it" (said with a blank stare)! Of course, I don't want to spend money with this kind of attitude! Aren't you a veteran? The service from the young staff was good! I won't go there again! Before the family epidemic situation, I left the family store, so I decided to leave the store again. I've decided to take the position of five people, so I'm only four people, and it's possible, but I don't have many people to support, and I'm going to have a big break in the vacant position! ，The store staff (Aya) directly told me the good points and decided on the meal.，The point was not corrected!The original plan was fixed. We go by lunch and nearly full tables. The lunch set is worth to order, taste is good and services are up to standard. I would recommend to go for a quick Korean lunch here.

we ordered the half yangnyeom fried chicken and it was almost inedible. there was lack of sauce which was a shame because the little sauce there was, was nice, but also there was so much bone in the half chicken it was almost as if they fried and sauced up half the carcass of a chicken. there was barely any meat which was a shame and there was so much of it which usually is good but unfortunately not in this case. the food came quick however . . . also quite expensive for fried chicken delivery dining in is a completely different experience however.

It was pretty cool to have an actual coal bbq. Servers come and help cook and cut the meat which was great Altho sometimes they leave it too long so you have to manually intervene. Fried chicken was delicious. Many dishes I would like to come back and try

Food was ok, but felt very rushed. Not worth it unless you’re on a tight time schedule. Booked for a birthday dinner, was not allowed to cut cake. You’re be expected to leave as soon as you finish. Very hectic environment and poor customer service.

The quality of the KBBQ is great here, amazing flavours. The BBQ is coal, which enhances the flavour. It's hard to come by a real coal BBQ spot. The staff will cook the meat for you, so you can relax. It is a bit more pricy tho. All the staff were very nice and efficient.

The food quality was above average but the service was rubbish. We made the appointment of a table for eight at 6pm. The restaurant had not informed there was time limit in the restaurant before. When we almost finished at 6:50pm (!) , the staff suddenly cleared the table and asked for leaving the restaurant as someone was waiting for next time slot of dinner. The restaurant was blacklisted.

We stumbled upon this restaurant when our usual Imone was full. Although apprehensive due to the reviews we still gave it a go as the lunch menu was such a steal. We were so happy to have tried this place cause it is probably one of the best Korean lunches we've had. We had the jjampong, jajangmyeon and tangsuyuk set. And everything was flavourful and so good. At the same time all the banchan was great. We even ordered an extra kimchi cause it was so good! Kamsahamnida!
