Great food, great value and great service from Dan. Hubby and I had sausage and bacon roll each cooked to our individual tastes, tea the same (how would you like it...strong, milky etc etc). Nothing was too much trouble and while cooking the locally sourced products to perfection he made a point of chatting. What a find - just shame that we were away for the weekend and do not live nearby. Thoroughly recommend.

Here's hoping that you find yourself back in Charing with every success behind you. Very much looking forwards to your evening at The Pavilion Charing on the 8th Sept. Good luck.

Popped in without any pre planning and were very pleasantly surprised. Apart from the food, which was fine, I was struck by the exceptional level of friendly service from the cheerful staff !.Chatty and seemed genuinely pleased to be serving us.

We had the most perfect day at the Norfolk Mead for our wedding. Frankie and Danni were so helpful throughout the planning process and on the day they were both amazing and made sure everything ran smoothly. They were always prompt with their replies and nothing was too much trouble for them. All the staff were lovely and friendly. The food was delicious and the venue itself was beautiful. Being able to have some time in the spa the morning after our wedding was a perfect way to unwind and reflect on the day. We could not have asked for a better venue!

We had booked in for a special family breakfast. When we arrived there was no knowledge of our booking and we were clearly an inconvenience to the staff. The quality of the breakfast was good but too often staff did not replenish the food when it had run out and dirty plates etc.. were not taken away.

Amazing selection of baked good, we stopped here for lunch ( just a few tables outside ) and wow. Everything we had was amazing, delicious, so good we bought takeaway fur dinner . We tried quiche, scutch eggs, sausage rolls, spinach brioche and cinnamon cream cheese bun, all were fantastic. Would highly recommend Dollies, this is a little gem. Coffee was also excellent and the service was above and beyond very friendly and helpful.

A nice location with good views. The cafe was clean and welcoming and most of the staff were pleasant, apart from the young chap who was quite miserable. The food was nice, but one small piece of butter for toast was disappointing and I could not catch a member of staff to ask for more. The cake selection was disappointing so we had to move on elsewhere. We had travelled 90 minutes from home on a recommendation, so I was expecting more.

Can't claim to be a staunch regular, but I have used Ali Spice as a takeaway about once every 2 months since it opened in 2010. Food and feeling of being a valued customer has always been exemplary. Up to my last two dishes, my go to was always a chicken balti, a 2 chilli spice rating, the last one I had from Ali's was so spicy it was on the verge of being inedible, ah well just a one off, i fancied a curry last night and found I could not face ordering my old faithful balti, i ordered a tikka massala and was told 20 mins to collect, i arrived in the prescribed time and drove 10 minutes home to find the dishes i ordered were just about warm, fine i could heat up in a microwave, but i have never had to do this before, something has changed lately at Ali spice, and i don't just mean the prices! Unfortunately I will be going elsewhere for my curry from now on.

My wife and I visited for Sunday lunch as part of a family group of six. The restaurant was really busy, but nevertheless we were shown to our table by a lovely woman, who arranged for our drink orders to be taken. We chose our main dishes, no one wanting to partake in a starter and sat and chatted. In what seemed to be the blink of an eye, our food was delivered! Three of us had roasts, one had tuna, one had halibut and the sixth had Cromer crab. Well, I have eaten in many a fine restaurant, but to say the food was excellent is just not enough! Our roasts were not only superb tasting, but the portion sizes were huge! All three of the family who had fish dishes sang their praises also. I donāt often say this, but I couldnāt finish my meal, likewise several others of the group. Doggie bags all around?! Anyway, desserts were off the radar and we paid up and left, completely stuffed. The staff were really attentive throughout our meal, ensuring we had everything we wanted. They chased up drink refills without us needing to call them over. The overall bill was around Ā£170, but this included all of our drinks, which we felt was reasonableā¦not cheap, but reflected the quality and quantity of our meals. The only downside that we could find was that we could only book the table for a maximum of two hours. We would have liked longer to sit and chat, but based on the number of clients coming and going, I suppose this is not unreasonable.

Just had a family of 8 Easter Sunday lunch and we were all blown away by just how lovely every meal was. The setting by the river is gorgeous too. There was so much lamb and beef on our plates we had to take some home... food was all freshly cooked and the cauliflower cheese was sublime. Deserts we're enormous and the sticky toffee pudding with ginger snap was a lovely end to a fantastic meal. Service was wonderful too, so thank you all so much. We will definitely visit again.
