Amazing selection of baked good, we stopped here for lunch ( just a few tables outside ) and wow. Everything we had was amazing, delicious, so good we bought takeaway fur dinner . We tried quiche, scutch eggs, sausage rolls, spinach brioche and cinnamon cream cheese bun, all were fantastic. Would highly recommend Dollies, this is a little gem. Coffee was also excellent and the service was above and beyond very friendly and helpful.

So after seeing dollies opening in lock down today I had a chance to try it out Very smart set up Some pastries on offer looking very posh however alarm bells rang “no prices!!!” Well I thought it was a bakery haw bad can it be just a snack for lunch Sausage roll looked nice but not that big and with no price I’m thinking maybe £2.50/3? So passed on that as the scotched eggs looked large and tasty I’ll have a scotch egg I said Eat in or take away she said Take away please £4.20!! See said I chuckled to my self I thought it wasn’t going to be cheap but £4.30 for an EGG and some meat??? To be fare it was tasty and very large and very filling But £4.30??? in coltishall Not exactly CHELSEA is it Not even Junk Yard Prices or even a FESTIVAL £4.30!!! For an egg??? What ever rent are they paying that they can justify this price I wasn’t nasty at all though I just said thank you very much, I won’t be returning !!! £4.30!!!! ffs!

Oohhh today having seen the bagel offering on facebook, popped down... In the end picked the breakfast crossiant. Oh boy it was the most delicious thing ever. I normally can't eat anything before 12 noon. But stuffing this at 11. 30am while on a call to a lawyer 😂😂

Moored up overnight in Coltishall and discovered this fabulous bakery. Fresh coffee and the most amazing pastries. Almond croissants were huge, as were the sausage rolls and Scotch eggs like cannon balls. The pastry was flaky and light, the sausage meat was tasty and flavoursome. Delicious!

This new venture in Coltishall, developed from part of the Re Lion pub is decorated with flair and creativity - grey, pink highlights, stripped wood tables and benches, blackboard wall. Small with a relaxed, very friendly atmosphere and it is the quality of the products which is outstanding - including wonderful sourdough bread, imaginative breakfasts, an array of pastries, large sausage rolls, doughnuts with very generous jam fillings. Freshly baked trays of the latest additions keep appearing and tempting you if you linger over coffee. Word is getting around and its already a firm favourite with many.

You don't have to get dolled up to go to dollies, but it's a top notch artisan bakers and cafe. Coltishall needed a new cafe like this. The bread is best in class and the sweet treats are moreish. An early opening time from 7am is handy for early birds but for any owls remember it closes as 2pm so don't miss out. Recommended!

Excellent breakfast, perfectly cooked eggs on sourdough toast, the take away doughnuts were different class, will definitely be going back for more.

Super new bakery / morning cafe. It’s very small (6 tables I think). Menu is limited but breakfast options are really imaginative. Sort of “build your own” on sourdough bread base - add from a range of additional ingredients. We had two choices and they were both superb in every way. Coffee also very good. The only thing stopping a 5 rating was the service whilst ok, was overall very slow and they initially took an age to even acknowledge our presence when we arrived and subsequently later when I hovered by the counter to ask for more coffee (I literally gave up!). Additionally, they are also a small bakery but there was literally no produce on offer whilst we were there, apparently the baker was doing the breakfasts). Hopefully these are just initial teething problems that they’ll quickly sort given it’s a new venture. It deserves to succeed as the food, decor and imaginative format are all lovely

My brother and I went for lunch on Saturday, it was quiet, it has a nice atmosphere, the bar lady was very friendly and took our order, we both decided to have the”award winning “ beef and ale pie with mash, broccoli and a side of gravy, unfortunately we were both disappointed with the pie, the pastry was good and filled with a tasty gravy, but was sorely lacking with 3 small pieces of beef, the mash had been kept warm on the plate for a while as it had become firm with a crust, the broccoli was nice, it was expensive for basically a pie filled with lots of tasty gravy

Today for lunch, I had a sausage and onion pie accompanied by mash and vegetables, all washed down with a refreshing glass of orange juice at my local diner for £10.50. It had been a while since my last visit, and I realized I forgot to request my usual small amount of gravy. Despite this, I still enjoyed the meal, although the pie portion was a bit smaller than I typically expect. This diner is what I like to refer to as a workman’s café, known for its hearty portions that generally exceed those found in regular cafés. On a positive note, I managed to find a parking spot right outside the building today, which can often be a challenge during peak hours.

I had been looking forward to trying Bread Source. Their window display of fayre always looks delicious. On a cold day, this is possibly not the place to go if you're looking for hot food. There was a limited selection at the time (1:15pm). Nothing is made to order. Working out in the cold, the only thing available were toasties (of which there were only two left). They took a really long time to cook, which was inconvenient. They do not have a microwave for savories- something to consider possibly. There were at least 3 staff members behind the till, none of whom seemed to have any sense of urgency. That's not brilliant when you're stopping for a 20 minute lunch break. The food was on the expensive side and boxed up with no way of containing any heat. Having said that, the sausage roll was delicious even if it was served cold and the jam donuts were praised on site for their filling. The atmosphere, waiting for a long time, for two simple toasties was dull in what is a large space with little interaction. It's the little things. The shop is not the best for traffic flow with the till directly at the point of entry/exit. You feel compelled to rush your choice to get out of the way. Whether eating in or taking out, perhaps the focus should be on the service. It disappointed me. Perhaps that's not usual practice.
