Limited choice of cakes 🎂 but what I had was lovely. The place is nice, clean and modern. Service was reasonable quick, and attentive.

Excellent service and menu choices, coffee was really good, easy to book a table, parking not always easy well worth the walk if parking further away

Stopped in here for cuppa and cake during the afternoon with our (large) dog. We were shown to a little table off to one side which was perfect so that the dog was not in the way when she lay down. Had hot drinks and some delicious cake. Would recommend.

Oh dear, a very disappointing visit! Sat down for cakes and tea at 2:30 pm, aware that they closed at 4 pm. Literally at 3:25pm the vacuum cleaners started going and we could hardly hear ourselves talk. Washing up was crashing away in the open kitchen, and no sooner had I put my glass down than the waiter swept everything away. Another lady then started swobbing and mopping all round our table, and everywhere else, with the most overpowering smell of disinfectant. To the point in fact where it was too unpleasant to stay. I guess that was the intent? Even the toilet had been cleaned and cordoned off with a sign. If you don’t want customers to come into the shop then for goodness sake just close it rather than making us feel terribly uncomfortable. I did ask twice if you closed at 4, and you reassured me you did. To be fair, the clearing up should be done after customers are gone. Definitely will not be returning.

We had a yummy full English breakfast here. Food very fresh and cooked well. Lovely place to visit. Staff were helpful. Very nice cup of coffee.

Food and staff very good at reasonable prices . They have done lovely job with the building really nice inside will be back.

A once a year visit to catch up with local friends once again did not disappoint in any way. Nice venue, good food and drinks and great value. Can seem a little noisy when busy, but being busy suggests others share my view!

We have been week after week and find the staff friendly and helpful the food is of high quality. The setting is lovely and relaxing.

Firstly the front of house staff were welcoming and polite. Took their time to capture the orders correctly and to check what they had written down. Slight wait for food (our breakfast drinks had been consumed before food arrived). Slight annoyances, a large breakfast only comes with one egg not two, some menus (as demonstrated) have a paper note attached to say due to the price of eggs, large breakfasts will only come with one egg not two. But not all menus have this note. Black pudding is charged extra and the bacon came out like it had survived a nuclear winter. Overall not bad, just some minor points to address.

There was a party of 6 of us. We booked a table and once we got seated the young waiter Ryan came over to take our order, he was lovely. He was so polite and well mannered and ensured we had what we needed when we needed it, this made our experience amazing. The paninis were amazing so where the freshly baked cakes, overall the experience of this establishment was lovely and Ryan is an asset to your team.

We got caught out in a rain shower so headed to this cafe. Even though they were full, they came out to us and offered to find us a table by shuffling bookings around. So friendly. The atmosphere was welcoming and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced too. All the staff were friendly and helpful even though they were busy. Really lovely place!

Lovely breakfast with quality ingredients. Nice airy inside and sun-trap courtyard. Smaller full English was spot on for size for me.

A great selections of delicious homemade cakes which is also dog friendly in the court yard and on the ground floor. The only thing that let this place down for us was the customer service. We were told to find a seat and that someone would come to take our order. After about 20 minutes of sitting outside I went to the till and all the staff looked at me blankly. They’d clearly forgotten about us and there was no apology. Such a shame as their cake is great so hopefully this was just a one off.

A very popular cafe so best to book and unfortunately parking outside is very limited through no fault of their own as they don't own the carpark. The food etc is however worth the trouble so do give it a try.

Beautifull place in a lovley village. Lots of delicious cakes and a wide selection of items, all homemade or sourced locally, and all day breakfasts! 😋Definitely worth a visit and will come again!

What a find great cake ( most important) and a superb location by the river. We were driving around looking for a cake and tea stop and as it was getting late we saw this place and whilst it did not impart the cosy country cottage feel the location was great A good choice of tea and cakes especially the sponge cakes Good service and very good value Worth a visit

So on arrival we were told the place was closing in twenty minutes and they were already covering cakes ready for closing up. Me and my other half ordered our scone, slice of Coffee Cake and two Cokes and paid and my father and our friend then ordered their slices of Cake and a pot of Tea. The difference in size of the two slices of Cake compared to my partners was very astonishing they were each two inches bigger at the the thicker end than my partners was, I do not find this very good practise considering they knew we were all together and makes me wonder when you’ll be getting value for money and portion seems to be pot luck, I was considering having a breakfast at some point but definitely won’t be going back after todays visit, very disappointing.

We came here in the November lockdown and had to wait 30 minutes for a scone to be reheated, despite this being offered by the lady at the till. No reason was given behind the wait whilst the staff chatted in the kitchen, oblivious to me waiting. I thought it was a one off bad experience but me and my family tried to visit again today and despite signage saying the cafe was open for take away until 4, at 3:30 we were refused service by the lady inside and the door had a closed sign on it. No reason was given. The lady was busy counting money and clearly did not want to serve any customers. Really disappointed by the lack of customer service on both occasions and will not be returning.

Everything super fresh and tasty, wide variety of sandwiches and cakes, drinks included in the price.

Popped in for a light lunch on the last day before lockdown2, the place was as busy as social distancing would allow but they found space for us, and I’m glad they did. Two paninis later me and my wife were very satisfied. The coffee was lovely and the staff were so friendly, I only wish I could have fitted in some of the cakes that looked soooo good. We will return when the world becomes normal again.

Very impressed! Helpful and knowledgeable staff who were so friendly during our visit. There were a good selection of vegan options, not all listed on the menu, and we enjoyed a vegan breakfast and avocado & houmous salad, followed by delicious vegan chocolate cake! A perfect place to stop and refuel whilst cycling the Bure Valley path. Hope to return when we are next in the area.

Stopped here on the middle of a long walk, very nice inside, good service and the cream tea we had was easily 10/10. Scone was really nice and the pot of tea was generously sized with plenty for both of us.

We were due in the area and I rang ahead to book a table. Glad I did as I don't think we would have got a table otherwise.We were seated downstairs. I believe upstairs you would get views over the water.Our waitress was very friendly. The food very nice. Great selection of home made cakes. Would definitely visit again if in the area.

First visit, it was Saturday lunchtime and I expected to see a lovely display of tempting cakes ..... very little on display , no fruit scones , sat upstairs, carpet was badly stained not a good impression.Our snack was brought to the table ...no cutlery.no condiments, waitress had to make another journey back downstairs to get those ? I wouldn’t recommend based on my experience that day sorry .

We visit here every week and enjoyt he coffees and sausage rolls - usually hot out of the oven and very tasty. Good at keeping us socially distanced and sanitised. Ligth and airy venue. We thought the other person in the party had booked but even though they hadn't the staff still found a table for us without a problem

Stopped off with the family for a bit of lunch whilst on a bike ride. Wonderful service, great little menu (I rate the salt beef sandwiches very highly), and a truly lush Victoria sponge cake!!

This was our first visit here and we were very impressed. We came across it on a walk, when we were in need of refreshment. It is a lovely airy place the staff were very pleasant and the coffee and cake were delicious. Highly recommended.

A nice brunch outing for my mother’s birthday. This place seems to get fairly busy on a Sunday now, so worth booking a table, shame there’s not more downstairs seating as the stairs aren’t that accessible for those with mobility problems.

We had lunch here and although my friends toast and jacket potato were adequate, my cooked breakfast was very poor.Paying extra for black pudding you don't expect it to be rock hard after encountering the microwave, well you do here !Bacon was good, toast cold, beans cold and congealed, yes probably the worst breakfast in a while.

Visited this local place for the first time. Easy access for my wheelchaired friend.. Never seen such smiling serving girls as those behind the counter! Excellent scones, great coffee. Will take my discerning wife along soon ( should have taken her piece of their wonderful cake......)

Really disappointed by the weak coffee (two cups so not a one-off). Not up to scratch and despite the yummy looking cakes will not be returning.

Thoroughly enjoyed the victuals and setting, but beyond that the willingness to serve above and beyond was amazing and incredibly helpful, thank you!

Toasted brie and cranberry sandwich jut oozing over the plate was just perfect for lunch and tea and coffee all good at a reasonable price. Very nice seating area.

I visited (with a friend) A Piece of Cake (Tea Room & Coffee Shop), yesterday afternoon (January 9th), me and my friend sat upstairs, we both enjoyed a cup of Tea, I also enjoyed a piece of Bakewell Slice, my friend particularly liked the original beams and brick wall, giving a rustic effect upstairs, the staff were very friendly, a very nice Tea Room / Coffee Shop, in a rural setting, close to the Norfolk Broads, yesterday was my first visit to A Piece of Cake, and I will definitely be visiting again, in the future.

Excellent food, Great atmosphere. Just popped in for lunch with friends. Had a great time with great service. Definitely visit again.

Came here for lunch with my friend. Lovely atmosphere...light.. bright and clean. Staff were friendly and helpful . The food was excellent... cake was moist and delicious and to top it all they do a great cup of coffee. We will be back.

Food is reasonably price and very tasty. Staff are friendly and helpful. We ate here twice while visiting the area. I would definitely recommend this place for breakfast/bruch and lunch/early dinner. They also sell homemade cakes which I didn't have the opportunity to have some but they looked delicious.

Havent been here for ages but its still as good as ever. Lovely staff, ice cold iced coffee (which is far better than the lukewarm stuff normally sold in other shops) and a good selection of cakes. Sat outside in the courtyard life is good.

We all enjoyed our meal from A Piece of Cake - I'd rate that pretty high.

We like to walk from our home around 2 miles from A Piece of Cake. Guess where we break our walk - this café. Ideal for hot or cold drinks, cakes, sausage roll, or a light meal at lunch time. Friendly staff.

Popped in for lunch, a sandwich and a toastie, both came to our table larger than we had expected. Nice and fresh.

Lovely little cafe, unusually quirky layout, that maximises space.

We had good coffee and food in this cafe/restaurant. There is a good atmosphere and you can choose to sit on the ground floor or first floor balcony.

Whilst on holiday in Norfolk with friends we visited this lovely food cafe in the village of COLTISHALL twice in a week because the food and staff were fantastic it is a little gem of a place so much so it is sometimes difficult to find a place to park on our first visit there was nowhere to park so 1 of our friends went to ask is there anywhere else and 2 customers said we are just going you can have our space such a friendly place we went back 4 days later

Lemon and sultana or carrot...or...or chocolate...or...or Victoria, hmmm choices choices, love them all. That’s after a goats cheese panini! Not many Saturday lunchtimes we miss! Love it! Love it! Love it!

Great cakes at a reasonable price there are other foods available and taste very nice. The building is clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and chatty Had a lovely sandwich, slice of cake and nice strong hot cup of tea.

What more can one say.....? same goes for the fruit scones, oh and just about everything else they make here. especially in my opinion the Victoria Sponge cake. 5 stars throughout.

What a lovely place to have a drink and sandwich then go for a refreshing country walk lovely surroundings and great selection of food would certainly recommend this place the only down side is there is not much parking space

Lovely cafe but very busy which has meant 2 visits where we were turned away. Food is simple but freshly prepared and well priced. Car park busy so parking difficult.

I have food intolerances and this place provides the best choice of gluten free breads and homemade cakes. Most food is locally sourced and the staff are very polite and friendly. The building is attractive with lovely views of the marshes. You can also go for a short walk afterwards. Only downside is gets very busy on a Saturday best to book. Also parking difficult and limited during busy periods.

Dropped in for lunch before a walk and had a great meal, ploughmans, panini followed by awesome chocolate cake. Staff friendly, helpful and efficient, we will be back.

Today had their meat “n “cheese ploughman’s,fabulous,far too much,but everything on it apart from the kitchen sink!!Great flavours,lovely granary rolls,and tremendous value.Being greedy also had a fruit scone,strawberry jam and cream!! For me the staff make it really special,they are so so happy and friendly,and helpful.Car parking is a pain,but just block someone in,they will soon find you!! My one bugbear is having reserved a table,which is clearly marked for a set time, earlier occupants having finished their snack or whatever,just sit and ignore the sign on the table!! It must be a generation thing!!!But hey it’s worth the hassle.

Found a seat as my companion is disabled and couldn't do the stairs although the other floors did look tempting. Just stayed for a coffee but cakes looked delicious and will certainly be returning. Popped in with a local friend for a bit of breakfast, we both had an egg & bacon granary bap-very fresh, tasty & generously filled. Friendly staff. Nice light & airy building. Clean.

Went with friends and found bright and cheerful place on two floors. Excellent freshly prepared food. We had sausage baps - highly recommended. Didn't have room for cakes, but they looked very tempting. Will be going back!

A great stop, halfway round a 7 mile walk, for coffee and cake. The caramel cake was absolutely delicious. A lovely cafe with great staff. Well worth an extra mile.

Used to squeeze into ‘A piece of cake’ when it was located across the road where we were always warmly welcomed. Nothing has changed except a bigger and more beautiful space to enjoy. Don’t know why it has taken us so long to visit when we only live 5 miles away. Today we cycled to meet my daughter there for coffee, but we will be returning for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea very soon. Thank you.

Been here before and it's been good but yesterday appalling coffee, weak cheap tea, cheap bread and under cooked bacon all went to make this a dismal breakfast

Good coffee and cake, only downside is the parking problem - if you don't get there early you can't park anywhere near. Shame as it's a good place to go.

I met with friends at the cafe on Wednesday afternoon this week. The cafe was not busy having a few people at tables. We sat at a free table which we waited to have cleared and cleaned. Several other tables required clearing too. We ordered cake and drinks. It took half an hour to arrive! Despite the place being quiet! The cake was nice and surroundings pleasant. However the two young staff were not very friendly. As we left we thanked one who we met on the stairs and again the girl at the till. Neither even acknowledged us. We will look elsewhere for our next catch up!

We called in here for breakfast, the staff were friendly, the venue and decor is really lovely, you order at the counter and they bring your order to the table, prices are reasonable, the pot of tea was good, but unfortunately we were disappointed with the cooked breakfast, the quality let them down, they did poach the eggs as asked but the the yolks were hard, could have got the same breakfast in any supermarket cafe.

Decided to visit with my family for tea and cake. When we arrived all empty tables had dirty cups, teapots, plates etc. I asked a member of staff if we could sit down, she said "yes" and "I will clear your table"..... this did not happen, we would have cleared the table ourselves but there was no where to put items, On the floor next to the table was a tub of water which seemed to serve no purpose, and people including myself had to step around, I knocked it when sitting down and when a member of staff saw it she stepped over the spilt water saying what's that for, the water was not moped up.

Stopped on our way home from a funeral, ordered a Tea Cake and didn't expect it to be so big. Lovely place, reasonably priced.

We are on holiday and were getting our bearings so stopped at coltishall and v glad we went in. My daughter is vegan and they rustled up icing to go on her chocolate cake which she really enjoyed. Other half was over the moon to find bread pudding, might see if I can buy a whole one to take home to Nottingham as a souvenir. Not expensive at all, given the quality

Had cheese sandwiches and cake really good food I definitely recommend the staff are friendly and the place is kept clean.

We had spent the day at Bewilderwood and the adults needed some energy to recharge.

I had celebrated my birthday of a Saturday and my wife took it upon herself to treat me to what we knew was always a great fried breakfast at Piece Of Cake. We arrived just after opening hours on Sunday morning, placed out order before the long drawn out wait began.

Popped in here late one Saturday lunchtime, having been meaning to do so for ages.

Transformed from a Salvation Army Hall to a charming eatery. It has a terrace, few tables on the ground floor and a very spacious light and airy mezzanine. The staff are very friendly and know the provenance of the food their selling. Great variety of cakes, sandwiches and specials of the day. Oh and not forgetting the ‘afternoon tea’ great value. Great stop.

This thriving cafe was bustling from the moment I arrived to the minute I left. Pretty good service, though pricey offerings (soup, scone, coffee £8.60). Great tasting soup, scrumptious cheese scone, though staff didn’t ask if I had a loyalty card (which I do, but forgot to get it stamped when I paid my bill!).

A very clean friendly little gem of a place...beautiful homemade food on offer. Sponges 3’ High !!!!!! Chocolate, coffee and walnut or victoria, and cheese scones which were very very tasty.

Not the most welcoming place. All tables downstairs reserved, no lift or stairlift to get upstairs. One the guests arrived for the reserved tables all were able people who could have quite easily climbed the stairs! Meanwhile my elderly Mother and I had to sit under the stairs with people traipsing up and down non-stop! Tea, coffee and bacon sandwiches all good. Young waiter very polite. Unfortunately they do not cater for the elderly or disabled.

Called in today and pleasantly surprised by this lovely Cafe . Had an appt at nearby pharmacy So had time to call

In a meal for 3 people we found 7 mistakes which we think is pretty bad and some of our food was cold

Our group of 4 called in during our walk around Coltishall today. Welcomed with a smile and a cheery greeting . An amazing building over 3 floors. Wonderful large windows. Lovely decorations inside. A good selection of cakes on view, Reasonable prices on whole menu.We choose cheese scones and fruit scones with clotted cream and jam. Coffee, tea and orange juice for drinks. They were delivered to our table on the third floor quite quickly. Other food looked great too. Lovely atmosphere. We were acknowledged on our way out as well. We will be visiting again.

Two weary walkers looking for lunch arrived at ‘A Piece of Cake’ looking forward to our lunch, we had read good reviews. We were not disappointed. The range of food was extensive , very reasonably priced , fresh and served with a smile.

Really nice place for cake and drinks. Afternoon tea looks lovely, must visit again for that. Reasonably priced, great location and good parking.

A dull Saturday morning saw us deciding to go out for an early lunch. We had plans to shop in Wroxham later and as Coltishall and it’s cafe A Piece Of Cake was on the way we decided if we could park then we would...

We went there with our baby daughter who enjoyed the visit, as she was entertained by staff and guests. The chocolate fudge raspberry cake with cream was so delicious. There is also a nice river walk to Horsted mill just next to the cafe.

Went here today for a spot of lunch. Had a scrummy jacket potato and a very large portion of filling, served with coleslaw and salad. All very delicious. Great service and such a nice venue, airy and clean. Lovely cakes on offer too. 😀
