Terrible customer service. The gentleman I was greeted with was rude and unwelcoming. We turned around and found a more worthy place. Remember without customers you don’t have a business, so may be worth adjusting your attitude towards a more pleasant experience.

Excellent steak pie and mash. Great staff and service.

We where staying close by and heard good reports from locals so we booked for dinner .we were welcomed and given a nice end table over looking the river. The menu and specials were on a black board .we picked a gammon steak with pineapple mushrooms tomato and chips .Fish and chips both were very large portions and cooked perfect the gammon was so big i gave the dog a quarter .It was the best meal we had on the broads .

Visited for lunch and the place is lovely ..staff were pleasant and helpful just one minor issue ... the mayo they use is absolutely awful and my ciabatta was smothered in it ... and the sachet mayo was the same . Only mentioning as I am a mayo snob and it might help someone else to order theirs without The chips were outstanding !!!!! I know it's prob a cost thing but I personally would rather pay for sachets of decent mayo Otherwise no complaints pleasant lunch and deffo worth a visit

First visit, beautiful location at the side of the broads, tables outside as well as indoors, small amount of car parking belonging to the pub, I had a Gouda, walnut and celery salad which was really lovely, my husband had the gammon steak but with no chips he said the gammon was very tender and again very tasty, the service was a little slow as I think the landlady and chef were both on their own, toilets were very clean and tidy, would we visit again yes we would

Very very tasty Sunday roast, and the sticky toffee pudding was amazing and very very very tasty, if the custard was amazing! Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area, a must go!! :)

Came for a meal whilst on holiday. Have to say that the food is really good, unfortunately there is no atmosphere, the landlady serves you but clearly has no interest in you or the pub, as soon as she can she sits down and picks her phone up!!! The landlord appears to be the cook and the food is good, he is a bit more friendly. If you are intending to visit one point to consider is that they have a German shepherd behind a pen near the bar, I have been informed that a lot of people don't like this but it didn't bother us.

Visiting family in Reedham from Weymouth for the weekend, 10 of us and a child walked in and the man and lady working were really welcoming and accommodating. We hadn't planned on the visit but the guy was able to single handedly prepare all of us a delicious hot meal and there was even an option for a Vegan! We were incredibly grateful for the service because due to the number of us turning up unannounced, they could have just turned our request for food down, but instead he put extra effort to fit us in and let us know what he would able to do for us. There's also a beautiful dog called Sasha. Thank you for having us!

Spent a weekend on holiday in Reedham again. Popped in on the Friday and we were made to feel welcome by Annie, Jamie and the beautiful Sacha. I would definitely recommend this pub, not just because of the welcome but also for the food. The menu was varied and I had to do a lucky dip to decide what to eat. I chose my usual, Cheeseburger, and as a food snob I was not disappointed. Even my wife said she’d never seen me eat so much side salad, it was that good. 😂 I will definitely be going back not just on holiday but also for a treat out.

First time visiting this little gem today. Rib eye steak, cooked perfectly, lasagne was also perfect. Fantastic food, friendly welcome, dogs welcome, and a very big choice on the menus! So worth a visit!

Upon walking in, strange atmosphere and didn't think I was going to like it.however, after a little while the place really grew on me. The owners have tried to help keep the pub family friendly, pool table, pinball machine etc, all able to be used by the children. The food was very good, the curry and pie had ran out so I had rib eye steak, I normally avoid steak as for what you pay, if is grissly or tough, you feel like you have lost a lot. However it was faultless. Not the cheapest, however if it's this quality, you can get away with that. You only need to worry about the price if the quality is not up to standard. My wife had a prawn cocktail as a main. Which was also faultless, plenty of prawns and sauce for a main meal. My children had 1 main split between them and they said it was amazing also. 4 empty plates. I would definitely go back. 👍

Whilst moored at Reedham a few weeks ago we visited the Lord Nelson. What a joy, no loud music just the chatter of people having a conversation. Perfect! The larger and lime was very enjoyable as was the welcome.

We popped in for drink this afternoon, lovely warm welcoming pub Relaxed atmosphere and lovely staff very warm and welcoming nothing it to much trouble . We had a lovely afternoon overlooking the river, we decided to stay for an evening meal which was delicious. Thank you so much , if you’re visiting the riverside at Reedham pop into The Nelson you will have a lovely time .

Visited twice whilst we were on our holiday on the broads. Staff extremely friendly & welcoming. Food was very reasonably priced & good pub grub. The mooring outside was excellent too. Every one was so lovely we'll definitely be returning.

Visited twice in recent weeks, very busy in the summer but relaxed out of season. Nice friendly landlady and team, great views of the river and swing railway bridge, plus excellent food.

We arrived after the pub had finished service on a Sunday teatime - after ordering some nuts at the bar and casually mentioning that this was our meal as nowhere in Reedham was open for food - the owners opened the kitchen and made us three chicken curries and a vegetarian Thai green curry served with popadoms , dips ,rice and chips - all delicious Can't recommend enough they went above and beyond to help Definitely 5 stars from Ross Duke Sarah and Simon

A cracking place to eat, went for lunch it's a pub and we (as oldies!) had a light breakfast, The menu boards offered all sorts of delights! but I saw Pork stew, mustard, apple mash & broccoli! It said eat me! so the owner agreed and 2 were ordered we weren't disappointed by probably the best REAL pub dish we have had since the lockdown! The mustard was just enough to flavour perfectly, our hostess thoughtfully bought spoons knowing we would need them! Really nice nope better than that super! I look forward to returning soon!

Stopped with a boat. Had a great evening with good food. Curry was worth having. Friendly staff. Loved the dog. Mooring along the front is free for the most part but not outside the pub.

Great home cooked food. Only downside was that the kitchen had closed by 7.45 !!!

We went in on the first night of our holiday and after ordering a pint I asked for a cup of tea for my wife who’s not bothered by alcohol or fizzy drinks to be told we don’t do tea!, this is England, what pub can’t make a cup of tea for goodness sake, I drank my pint and left. We then found the reedham ferry arms who couldn’t have been nicer we went there every night I must have spent £200 or more there. Pubs these days have realised there’s profit in a cup of tea. Especially as two customers in a car have at least one person who’s got to stay sober. Not rocket science is it,.. eh. And they weren’t busy and had plenty of room for a hot water tea/ coffee machine behind the bar.no where else we went had this problem. .

Food always good, lovely to see belhaven black instead of guiness on offer, cheaper and actually tastes good instead of the bland over priced stout normally offered.

The menu is rather good with unusual meals on offer along side pub standards . They have a lovely stout on draft, Belhaven Black.

Lovely return visit. Food was lovely, although the rice/fish proportion was a little off for the Sea Bass, however it was very tasty. The usual sort of pub grub, but changes daily with specials. A little pricier, but expected on the Broads.

Spent a week on holiday in Reedham and the Lord Nelson became our go to pub for dinners and drinks. Food was fab and we were made to feel very welcome by Annie and Jamie...and Sasha...and would definitely recommend this pub if you are local or visiting the area. If you're boating there's mooring right outside. Probably worth booking a table so as not to be disappointed. Hopefully we will get back there at some point.

On holiday last week came here with my husband and our son. Had 4 evenings of fantastic meals. The gammon wow. Everyone was very friendly great service. Definitely worth a visit 😘

I disagree with other reviews. The lady who served us was extremely rude and seemed like an inconvenience to serve me and my family, constantly tutting and rolling eyes. We booked a table and when we came in I asked if I could add one more person and the lady said no. As there were “5 other tables” who had ordered food. So my sister just ended up watching us eat. Personally I think if you can’t serve more than 5 tables of people at once then you either need a big menu change up or staff change up. The food was basic and ok when it came out eventually after a hour wait when we were told the wait was only 30mins. Overall the experience wasn’t great and felt very unwelcome.

You cannot beat the view of the Norfolk broads from the garden area on a sunny day; there's a good reason why so many boats are moored here. We arrived later in the evening so had our pick of tables but would imagine it gets quite busy on a weekend. Good choice of ales and cider.

The food just keeps gets better , under advice from the chef we tried the recommendation for the beef vindaloo. Only one thing you can say, outstanding .

The place was ran down the food was for farmers not holiday people not good and didn’t sell Guinness why 🤔 so much wrong I wouldn’t have time to write it all

I had the best chef's special BBQ pork steak and pineapple made just for me as I'm fussy and he accommodates everyone's needs if you ask, the bar lady Annie was amazing very helpful and made my family and me very welcome...... thank you Jamie the chef and Annie for the best evening we will definitely be back

We stopped outside this pub last night. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Lovely pub, had a good laugh with the locals and bar stuff. Definitely recommend going there. Thank you for the men who helped moor us up in the thunderstorm!

An excellent meal at The Lord Nelson in Reedham. We had the sea bass and scampi followed by Reeney Reedham mess strawberry sundae. Staff were so friendly and welcoming and we look forward to returning on our way back from our boat trip

The Lord Nelson is a Broads must-do. The pub is excellent, food delicious and the staff welcoming and always good for a laugh. If arriving by boat ALWAYS book ahead. I’d never go past without dropping in - you won’t be disappointed. Tosha Too Forever

A lovely village pub on the edge of the river. The staff were friendly, welcoming and genuinely intent on making our visit enjoyable. A nice selection of beers at the bar and an extensive menu with options for all. We had the Steak pie, mushroom stroganoff and chilli all of which were superb. The puds were really good and I can't wait to try the 'Reeney Reedham Mess' which is a work in progress when we come back again! Thanks everyone for adding to our holiday memories x

Lovely unfussy menu. Good food, reasonable prices, good ale. Unlike some local pubs The Lord Nelson serves good food not airy-fairy over priced cuisine. In a beautiful location with outdoor seating. Good toilets, good service.

Lovely pub on the river Lovely Nelson curry and Thai Burger gave our dog some treats, lots of memorabilia on show. Vegetarian meals are available as well.

Brilliant pub with very good food! Have had food and drinks on multiple occasions. All staff are very friendly and helpful even when extremely busy. Only suggestion would be to move the dog from around the bar when very busy as was asked to lean through customers drinking at the bar to get my drinks as to not upset the dog. When quiet this is not a problem.

Unfriendly, unsmiling, hostile, severe bar person. A dog kept barking For a river frontage pub, it could have been fabulous. Never again. Horrible.

Just a lovely little local pub on the river, you can't go wrong. Food was delicious and fast service, and the staff are so friendly. Sasha the dog also made an appearance and she was absolutely gorgeous!

3 mins after food cut off didn't want to make food for a family of 6 at 8pm shame, probably for the best someone walked out with a dog out of the kitchen after whilst they were still serving 30 mins after we were refused

Enjoyed a Sunday lunchtime whilst visiting the Norfolk Broads. Lovely food and staff very friendly. No roast dinner available but then we were not after one.

Every visit we have made the welcome we have had has been 1st class. The food and service is excellent and in such a fabulous location .

Was so wonderful to be back here again, the food is brilliant,nothing is ever a bother for Jamie, who clearly enjoys being adventures with his menu. Annie is so pleasant and accommodating. The pub is clean and tidy and comfortable. The scenery spectacular and a favourite place to moor our boat Dignity.

Didn't stay long, but the locals seemed friendly and the drinks reasonably priced. Had we stayed longer we'd have probably tried the food.

Nice pub on the edge of the river. Clean with extensive bar menu on blackboard in pub. Reasonably priced food cooked to order. Served hot and well cooked.Disappointing that the beer( real ale) was badly kept with residue floating about in the bottom of the glass and even though we brought back glasses 1/4full and switched to cider this wasn't commented on by bar staff. Wouldn't stop us visiting again but not for the real ale!

Very good meal, friendly and social able Price about right. Recommend Sue clarkson , we were staying at Reedham ferry camp site, but wanted to eat at the nelson instead off the ferry. As usual we usuall eat here a few times a year when we stay. ******

Asked for a decafe coffee only to be told she didn't have any !! What pub / restaurant doesn't carry decafe nowadays? Very disappointed to say the least .

We have been in this pub but not on this occasion as it shuts on Monday which happened to be when we were in Reedham. A shame because we enjoyed our last visit.

Half decent pub. Was nagged by owner to pre book for food as they would be rammed after. If it wasnt for that we would of eat there instead of the ship down road. Menu looked really good tho!
