The Lord Nelson in Broadland

Brilliant pub with very good food! Have had food and drinks on multiple occasions. All staff are very friendly and helpful even when extremely busy. Only suggestion would be to move the dog from around the bar when very busy as was asked to lean through customers drinking at the bar to get my drinks as to not upset the dog. When quiet this is not a problem.

Unfriendly, unsmiling, hostile, severe bar person. A dog kept barking For a river frontage pub, it could have been fabulous. Never again. Horrible.

Just a lovely little local pub on the river, you can't go wrong. Food was delicious and fast service, and the staff are so friendly. Sasha the dog also made an appearance and she was absolutely gorgeous!

Very very tasty Sunday roast, and the sticky toffee pudding was amazing and very very very tasty, if the custard was amazing! Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area, a must go!! :)

Been to so many pubs in the last week for meals and drinks to be made to feel unwelcome however…….. the Lord Nelson totally different!! Very welcoming. Amazing atmosphere lovely people. Recommended with 5+ stars. A must if you pass

3 mins after food cut off didn't want to make food for a family of 6 at 8pm shame, probably for the best someone walked out with a dog out of the kitchen after whilst they were still serving 30 mins after we were refused

Enjoyed a Sunday lunchtime whilst visiting the Norfolk Broads. Lovely food and staff very friendly. No roast dinner available but then we were not after one.

Every visit we have made the welcome we have had has been 1st class. The food and service is excellent and in such a fabulous location .

Was so wonderful to be back here again, the food is brilliant,nothing is ever a bother for Jamie, who clearly enjoys being adventures with his menu. Annie is so pleasant and accommodating. The pub is clean and tidy and comfortable. The scenery spectacular and a favourite place to moor our boat Dignity.

Didn't stay long, but the locals seemed friendly and the drinks reasonably priced. Had we stayed longer we'd have probably tried the food.

Nice pub on the edge of the river. Clean with extensive bar menu on blackboard in pub. Reasonably priced food cooked to order. Served hot and well cooked.Disappointing that the beer( real ale) was badly kept with residue floating about in the bottom of the glass and even though we brought back glasses 1/4full and switched to cider this wasn't commented on by bar staff. Wouldn't stop us visiting again but not for the real ale!

Called in for lunch and wasn't disappointed.

Very good meal, friendly and social able Price about right. Recommend Sue clarkson , we were staying at Reedham ferry camp site, but wanted to eat at the nelson instead off the ferry. As usual we usuall eat here a few times a year when we stay. ******

We have been in this pub but not on this occasion as it shuts on Monday which happened to be when we were in Reedham. A shame because we enjoyed our last visit.

Asked for a decafe coffee only to be told she didn't have any !! What pub / restaurant doesn't carry decafe nowadays? Very disappointed to say the least .

Half decent pub. Was nagged by owner to pre book for food as they would be rammed after. If it wasnt for that we would of eat there instead of the ship down road. Menu looked really good tho!

Had a bad experience with the chief telling us to get out & being accused of wanting a free meal. Do not recommend this place after having poor customer service.

We called in for drinks during the day on 2 occasions last week. I can't comment on the food here, hence the 4 stars. I love this pub! I first visited 40 (!) years ago and have fond memories of the place. It was good to revisit after all this time though, in all honesty, I can't remember too much about it(!) It's ideally situated right on the banks of the Yare which is what brought me here in the first place, 40 years ago. Last week we sat at the tables outside adjacent to the moorings in blazing sunshine. There is much memorabilia inside; old advertisements, vending machines etc which all add to the effect. It was so good to call in again. Sorry to gush so much, but it really was!

We are staying in Reedham for a few days and have had 2 meals in The Lord Nelson and both were excellent. Beautifully presented and so tasty. Our dog was welcome too. Totally recommend this friendly pub right on the water. We will be back!

We camped in the area and had a wonderful, albeit hot, walk to this pub. The food was fantastic, loaded chips were awesome!! Compliments to the chef! Well stocked bar too. Inside was well set out. Great decor, toilets clean and tidy. Outside seating area was right on the river, we didn't use it because we didn't want to fight off the wasps off our lunch! Really reasonably priced too. Will definitely return if in the area

Welcoming pub with Riverside beer garden, Humpty Dumpty ales , good value.

After a very long day boating, we stopped outside the Lord Nelson….thank god! We were greeted by volunteers helping us successfully moor against a strong current. Said volunteers spoke highly of Lord Nelson and we wasn’t disappointed. No booking but they made room for us to eat early and blown away by the food. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

We booked a mooring and had dinner in this glorious pub. I had hunters chicken 5* and husband lasagne 5* Great service, great atmosphere, river frontage ……. Perfect PROPER TASTY PUB GRUB

Food was absolutely delicious & we will definitely be going back. Staff are very friendly and accommodating, fast service. Highly recommend this place to anyone who hasn't visited before.

Friendly welcome delicious chilli con carne. Third visit there was excellent.

It's a nice place with great food but useless at keeping more than 2 beers on. I visited twice 2 days apart and although the local brewery is only a mile up the road they didn't have their ales on sale.

Had a fantastic meal the chef happened to come out of the kitchen I said I’m starving Marvin but I said I’m gluten intolerance and wheat intolerance it’s after having cancer treatment not me being fussy ! The chef said do I like a chicken salad with all the trimming and here’s a photo and the staff were lovely well done 7/10

Great food and beer. Good moorings just wach out for the bread seeking ducks. They will come on board to take your loaf.

Great Riverside location, however totally spoilt by the unnecessary DJ playing overly loud 1950s music to no one in particular... we quickly left!

Excellent service, friendly staff and the food was superb. Reasonably priced, riverside location and a lovely atmosphere in the pub.

Four of us ate here this eve and all meals were so good. Staff were amazing and couldn't be more helpful. We have a boat on the Broads so will defo be back again. Many thanks

Lovely Riverside location and good food at pub prices. Good polite service. We dined outside by the Riverside where we had moored our boat for the evening and without charge. We would visit again if in the area.

Not only the perfect location but the perfect place for lunch and a drink or two. Excellent service and the food was first class.

Great food and drink at sensible prices. Booking is recommended but we got lucky. The local brew, by humpty dumpty is not to be missed. Parking right outside and tables by the river to enjoy your drinks.

Just walked back from The Lord Nelson Chris, I and Henley our dog all made very welcome ,Lunch time snack very tasty also nice drop of local ale from Humpty Dumpty Lovely friendly couple made us feel at home could have stayed all day do not think we would have made it back though

Very expensive, first pint was off so had to settle with what was left, they only had two ales on but as I say one was off. My advice is to avoid at all costs unless you have a very large wallet.

Can't really give a honest opinion , as to be fair called in early on a weekday morning following a long walk by the river . Only had a coke and a packet of crisps, which we took outside . Basically we were thirsty and wanted to give our legs a rest. would love to had a pint but was driving . Would imagine by the decore and the friendly and polite staff ( and being directly opposite the river ) it could be a nice place to go in the summer months .

Went in for pint, having done a walk nearby. Very friendly, beer was on offer, warm, cosy. We are going back for food and beer next week!

We were made welcome. We popped in for a drink. Looking at the menu we will be back to eat there on our return in April.

Free mooring if you're boating is a nice touch. The pub is a lovely place with a nice selection of food and drink. The only slight disappointment was that there was no Sunday Roast on the menu. Other than that, I'd go back if I was passing

Family evening meal including 2 vegans, 2 vegetarians. Food was very good. Menu was pub menu but 2 vegan options. Good price and quality. Staff friendly and efficient Enjoyed our visit.

Took a party of 6 to eat and drink. 6 different meals and all were excellent. Menu was varied , something for everyone. Landlady very friendly as were the staff. This pub has only reopened after being shutdown and the new management are doing an excellent job , and deserve all the praise.

A late autumn cruise on the Norfolk Broads would not be complete without mooring at the jetty directly outside The Lord Nelson pub at Reedham (ably assisted by the friendly, helpful, knowledgable & skilled quayside attendants), then spending a sunny afternoon sat outside the pub reading a newspaper - having ordered the delicious whitebait & lemon for lunch, washed down with a pint or three of refreshingly flavourful Woodforde Wherry). Feeling perfectly relaxed after such a hedonistic afternoon, the evening meals are also a delight to sample providing good value, tasty dishes served by extremely helpful & friendly bar staff. A highly recommended experience.

Good riverside pub with outdoor seating.

We visited on a quiet evening in the week and had a lovely meal. We had only been here for a few drinks in the past and never eaten but the menu was extensive and both the kids menu and the main menu had enough of a selection to satisfy our entire group of 6. There were a number of beers on tap including two ales from the local brewery (Humpty Dumpty), which I always appreciate seeing. The service was friendly and we weren't waiting long for our food after ordering. I would suggest booking ahead because there isn't a huge number of tables indoors but there is river side outdoor seating available as well. In all, a well deserved 5 stars and a much improved pub compared to The Lord Nelson we have visited in previous years.
