Paid £7 for halloumi bites... Received 5 tiny halloumi crumbs, absolutely gutted, chip portion sizes have halved. I used to love this chip shop, has always been on the pricey side but the quantity and quality always used to make up for it. I will think twice about ordering from here again. I feel absolutely ripped off!

Wonderful fish and chip shop and restaurant. No grease on the food. Staff bent over backwards for what we wanted. Nothing was too much trouble. Had come across the City to go to Deep Blue and will do it again. Excellent food and service

We travel 16minutes. 10 miles to get our fish and chips. Food absolutely lovely. Customer service out of this world. Extremely polite, helpful. Best fish and chips around. I have a chippy on my door step and no where near as nice. Good potion size. The best mushy peas. Phillip is always polite and goes out of his way to help.

Stopped off on way back from Easter weekend visit, loads of parking, great food & staff were really friendly & helpful. They had a great deal on which saved us money & even a little takeaway area to sit & eat inside (separate from restaurant). No additional charge for an extra box so our daughter could share. Good food, friendly staff, reasonably priced, clean place, what more do you want.

Visited today (2nd March) booked a table for four for 5pm. Not a problem but the lady who took my booking pointed out that there was a large party booked in at the same time so service might be slightly delayed and was that ok? Not a problem I said. When we arrived table all ready and to be honest, service was first class and no delays that we noticed. Our waitress was Lisa and she was super lovely. Funny and witty and entertaining and she really engaged with the four of us and made our meal even more memorable. Restaurants need more Lisa’s. Thank you for a beautiful meal with the whitest and freshest of fish. See you again soon.

Food is lovely...had Fish, Chips n Beans n a Cappuccino. Service is spot on Staff are very nice However....Despite our exceptional meal etc...the big mirrors etc do need a real good cleaning or, replacing if they cannot be cleaned! We would highly recommend the food, service n staff, just the state of the mirrors are disgusting when you are eating

More expensive than your average chippy. Didn't find chips as nice as our local but was only one close open on a Sunday. Option to sit in at no extra cost was good though.

Tried to order online but for some reason this didn't work. Visited the shop to order instead, the staff were friendly enough. I had to wait for chips to be cooked but that was not an issue. These were good chips but a bit more expensive than other fish and chip shops in the area.

On 22/12/23, When we came in there was a short woman with black hair, who was extremely rude, we asked if they were open and she told us she was on a break and rolled her eyes, so we decided to leave and she was very passive aggressive towards us. If I was the manager there I would fire her.

Really did not feel very welcome at all. Plus i get home and half my order was missing. £15 later and had to split half a meal !!!

Every time I’ve had fish and chips here (last night included), the chips are very burnt and dry. The fish is soggy, guessing it’s frozen. What done it for me is how greasy it was, swimming in grease!! Really need a review of the quality in which is served. Wouldn’t recommend. Moaning about other customers in front of customers, is also a big no no. Bad customer service.

Very expensive for what you get. Large chips were more like a medium portion.

Probably the worst place I have been for years, took my mum out for Friday lunch, the restaurant was cold had to keep my coat on ,so was the cappuccino which was three mouth fulls due to a cup full of froth, knife and fork was dirty . When the meal finally turned up it was probably the smallest I have even had with about 8 chips and the fish wasn’t much bigger then a fish finger ,they had even filled the salt shaker with pepper so had loads of pepper on my meal which I don’t even like .And all this for the price of £29 what a joke , never been before and would never ever go again

Would leave no start if I could. The worse idea I ever had, to stop at the restaurant for a take away after work. I am totally in shock, I said to the guy that we 5 people, and asked how big was the haddock he didn't seem to know the size so went to the freezer to check the size, told me was bigger than a dinner plate, then lady told him they didn't had haddock so no idea what fish he seen in the freezer/fridge. So I ordered cod instead, again asked how big they were as we where 5 people. 2 adults 3 teens So I ordered 2 large cod, 2 large chips, 1 portion of scampi. From his face I thought maybe is already too much food, and asked for 1 mushy peas, 1 gravy and 2 curry sauce, £1.99 each ridiculous. Wasn't told how much everything came to, didn't even passed the card machine. No receipt either and only knew how much it was when I checked my bank account while i was there £42.50 I thought was expensive but thought well as long as there's enough all is good. Get home and to my surprise each cod is just enough for 1 person, and I am missing both of the curry sauces. I could not believe my eyes when I opened the box with the cod, I feel completely robbed... now my partner had to go out again to actually go to another fish and chip shop to get food for us, As that was only enough for the kids. Called the restaurant more than 6 times and nothing no reply. This will be my 1st and last time I step inside of this restaurant. I never write reviews, but I honestly could not leave this go. Disgusting. Never again.

I had a huge order of fish and chips to collect for my care home. It was ready when I got there, packed really well and kept hot. I am informed that Heidi did this and I think she did a very professional job. Can’t fault all the staff and will definitely use again Jamie (Brooklands Care Home)
