Food lovely but unfortunately we had to reheat it as it was cold by the time it was delivered

Ordered for a family of 4, 2 reg cod and chips and 2 lrg cod and chips, 2 pots of sauce and a side. Came to £79.37. For nearly £80 it felt like daylight robbery, considering the food was just "alright", ive had better fish and chips for a lot less

Really nice and fresh fish and chips. Large haddock was especially good. I travel all over the country for work and like trying fish and chips in different towns. This has been one of the best.

Arrived 10 minutes late. Good quality food

I ordered with the delivery time in mind due to having plans that evening. I understand there is room for flexibility, however my order was meant to arrive at 18.10pm. It was continually pushed back until I had to leave at which point it was showing 19.20-19.35. my food arrived over an hour later than planned and I was not able to get a refund because they had "started preparing my order". With all due respect it doesn't take that long to prepare 2 fish cakes and 1 chips. Really unimpressed.

2024 11 18 We came back here after being invited by friends who said how good it is. I was nervous after the last visit; however I am pleased to say it was a good experience. We used the app and I ordered a senior plaice and chips and my wife ordered haddock and chips. Both very nicely cooked and tasty. We'll definitely recommend it and come again 2018 I should have read the reviews before going here. £6.40 for a dry overcooked piece of cod which had obviously been cooked in oil that was too hot as the batter was all blown. The chips were mainly comprised of bits and the ones that weren't were soggy and greasy. I should have asked to see what went into the box but the lady was very clever at closing it so I didn't see it before I took it away. A bad experience not to be recommended or repeated.

Thought I’d give this place another try after the bad experience last time with poor food quality and small size portions) unfortunately it was repeated the haddock in comparison to other fish and chip shops was def a small.

I wasn't overly keen on the batter today.

I enjoyed my plaice and chips. Very nicely cooked and very prompt. Will definitely use again

We’ve been here several times and it’s always on point here, Phil is always really kind and pleasant to talk to while waiting for my fish and chips would definitely recommend.

The fish was old and tasteless and the chips were more like a small portion, not the best quality either lots of dark ones.

Always driven by but never gone in… & today I did.. a perfect 10/10 from meeeee Only had a small portion of cod which was cooked to perfection .. along side my chunky chips🍴🍴🍴 In the future I won’t drive by I’ll definitely drive in 🤣🤣.. This was the first time I used this fish and chip shop, the service was friendly and quick to fill order, the batter was really crispy and seasoned, chip shop curry sauce was good and the onion rings were epic, crunchy and real onion in them. I recommend using the self-service till to get 10% off your order, especially if rammed, all in all a great experience.

smallest large cod I've ever seen .usually a regular customer but don't think il be using again after the size of the jokingly called large cod I've just been delivered.

I usually order from here but rather disappointed tonight . Ordered a large cod and what turned up was barley a medium size cod . I put it on a side plate rather than a dinner plate and it still looks small ..a tea cup rather than mug next to this for scale . I really hope this is a one off but with living costing so much and as a treat for tea I felt a review was worthy if to only make sure this doesn't happen to other customers !!

I’m Scottish so all we do is deep fry everything. My father owned a chippy in Scotland! This is the best fish and chips I have had this side of the border. Honestly wonderful, fish was tasty and the batter was very light and crispy, cooked right through. The chips and were awesome as was the curry sauce. All For 13.87 with a Coke Zero. Delighted to have found and come for dinner here. You won’t go wrong in my opinion. 5 out of 5! 💪

Great lunch, we each had the managers special which was fish and chips with a choice of curry sauce or mushy peas and a drink. The food was freshly cooked and really hot and delicious. The staff were all very friendly. Will definitely go again

Great portion sizes, great value for money. The chips are thick and not oily. Great size portion of curry sauce as well which is a win from me!

travelling scotsman far from home here! enjoyed my large cod and chips - great big bit of fish and the chips were nice; everything nice and fresh, much better than cheap places nearby! staff were an absolute pleasure! (fish and chips: £12.18, can coke zero: £1.69)

Delivery time says 25-40mins but it was over an hour. Halloumi bites were incredibly salty and some of the chips weren’t fully cooked.

Was disappointed with fish bites, really small, more batter than fish. Chicken bites have gotten smaller too. Wasn't go value. Have ordered this meal a few times and always been tasty and good value. Wont be ordering again.

This is a lovely place for a simple hot lunch. They serve other things on the menu than fish, although chips are ubiquitous, but that said, the chips are properly cooked. The restaurant is very quiet, causing a lack of atmosphere, but staff are friendly and helpful. I would hate to see them close due to lack of customers as they offer the best fish and chips in the local area.

Placed a £42 order tonight including mushy peas & curry sauce, didn't realise they hadn't been put in the bag until we got home. Too far to go back & complain with the evening traffic, so very disappointed.

A chance stop in, and we're so glad we did. What was supposed to be a take away for dinner at home ended up being eaten in the car and was about finished before we got home. Definitely must be eaten hot and the sooner the better. Really good food and very tasty.

I went into the restaurant and was physically pushed out by the manager what caused me to fall and hit my head , back , and thigh . He then told me he thought I had a knife so I proved i didn’t and got told to “f*ck off you c*nt” I entered again to put in a complaint and was pushed out again I went and emailed the company and was told I would receive a gift card and they will investigate They just told me that I am not getting a gift card and that nothing wrong happened I am disappointed with the service and customer service
