The best restaurants serving Default food in Dereham-Central Breckland East of England

We have eaten here for Sunday roast and enjoyed a recent 'round the world' evening (Caribbean). The staff are wonderful ... really welcoming and attentive throughout. The food ..... omg!! You can smell how wonderful it's going to be, as soon as you park your car ... It is absolutely delicious 😋... the roasts are gorgeous, loads of tender meat/choice and beautifully cooked veg.. with a huge yorkshire pud ... that I wish I could master, but why bother when you can come to the L&R!! 🤔😁 The themed nights are tapas style with loads of meat/veg/hot/cold options and believe me.... each dish just absolutely melts in your mouth, and all are all so full of flavour and perfect balance of herbs/spices.... just simply delicious. Before each time we've been, we said to each other... 'we're not having desert' ... then seeing what comes out of the kitchen.. that statement went out the window!! Once you've finished, you can also then take home a selection of goodies ... pastries/pies/cakes etc from the fabulous deli counter... and I challenge you not to eat them before you get home ... or eat them as soon as you do get home ... as they smell, look, and taste so delicious. There's a fabulous choice of beers and lovely wines. Please visit, you will not be disappointed. Thank you L&R... keep up the good work and delicious food... and as Annie said .... we'll be back!! Seriously the best dinner in Suffolk. Amazing service and food in a beautiful rural setting. A focus on Suffolk producers and always innovative. A set meal supper club that can also provide vegetarian.

Second visit here , Family run Portuguese cafe, Nice food , nice staff, forget the chain restaurants and support local , not often I keep going back unless it is good. See you soon

Home-made cakes, light meals and a range of drinks served at very fair prices by friendly staff. The 1950s atmosphere of the place is pleasant and on some days you can watch the trains running in and out of the station. A great place for meeting friends for a mardle.

Absolutely beautiful food, staff are very friendly. I highly recommend you try here. Definitely will return if I'm here in Dereham.

This is the first time we have been to this restaurant and will definitely be going back. The food was amazing, freshly cooked and the staff really friendly and nice. If you want authentic Thai food, this is definitely the place.

The food was very nice and good service. My wife needs gluten free and was told it was, but she was ill in the evening, so not sure if it was that or something else

Just simple good priced food that all tasted great and the staff was lovely!! The breakfast was delicious and the tea was perfect!

My wife and I called in for a cup of tea having been here many time. This time ,however will be or last. The owner patted a clients dog and then immediately with washing her hands started preparing another persons order. If you want your food handles properly avoid it

Wow - what a lovely little find. Lovely atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff. Superb food …. Well done chef!! Our waitress was fantastic and we will definitely be back (sooner rather than later). This was a good cafe. Very clean, attentive staff and a surprsingly good menu. Plenty of options, from a very impressive all day breakfast to an excellent Brunch and lunch menu. We are on holiday and are going back to get lunch one day during the week.

Just had a fabulous meal here, we shared the liver as a starter which was really yummy. Then shared the platter for 2/3 which was amazing, really well-cooked meat with great flavours, served with rice and bulgar, flatbread and dips. Really nice atmosphere and the restaurant was full by the time we left which no doubt reflects its popularity. We though it reasonable cost too, will definitely be back!

A lovely little store. Perfect for a stop off on the way to the North Norfolk coast. Look out for the outside decorations at Christmas. The store is so magical when passing in the dark. P.S. Reviewers can only speak as they find, but it’s genuinely disappointing to see one negative review (at the time of writing) amongst the positives. To me, this doesn’t add up. A bit unnecessary when all the reviewer needed to do was politely share their experience with the business. Sadly, it looks like this particular reviewer has done pretty much the same to another business in Norfolk and anyone reading their other negative review might like to take note.

Paul and the team go above and beyond to ensure your experience is a good one. We held my mums Wake at the Railway Tavern, my mum has always loved it there as we have had 4 previous family functions there. We had chip butties which were a favourite of my mum’s, the chips are always extremely good as any of the food on the chip shop menu, we don’t go anywhere else! Thank you for going above and beyond again.

This really is a good restaurant. The food was very good, the portion sizes are amongst the largest I have seen at an Indian restaurant and the service was really friendly. Will be back!
