We had a wonderful night at Husk for our anniversary. The supper club was excellent with beautiful food and a warm and relaxing atmosphere. We stayed in one of the new silos which was a real treat and enjoyed the swimming pool and sauna. Katy and Joey are natural hosts, they know how to create a special all round experience and it was a pleasure chatting to fellow guests at dinner and breakfast. We left feeling fully rested - what a joy! Thank you Team Husk

We stayed two nights (28th-30th June) and had the hottest weekend of the year. The countryside looked glorious and we made full use of the natural swimming pool and barrel sauna, which we could access directly from our lovely room, Jill. The vibe is pared-back, quiet luxury. Everything is set up to ensure relaxation. The food is amazing and we enjoyed the June Supper Club menu, every course was a delight and the cocktails and digestifs beautifully complimented the cuisine. Much of the food is grown on site and local producers are championed. We felt completely relaxed after two blissful, sunny days. Highly recommend. Be advised, there is a long track up to the ‘farm’ - you’re not lost, keep going and you’ll be rewarded with bucolic bliss!

What a fantastic treat. Two days at Husk with a supper club one evening and a visit to Thorington Theatre for comedy with a Husk picnic the next to celebrate an important birthday. The welcome was warm and friendly. The place beautiful and charming with a swimming pond visited by giant blue dragonflies and playful swallows. The room was comfortable and charming with a great shower and comfy bed. The food was outstanding and memorable. Locally sourced and lovingly prepared. The conversation flowed around the shared table with convivial ease. A strong recommend.

Wow wow wow - a truly wonderful experience at Husk in Thorington, and despite only living 1 hour away, we had never heard of either Husk or Thorington until recently. Husk is amazing and an absolute must if you are staying in Suffolk & appreciate brilliant & interesting food in a friendly & casual setting. Husk describe themselves a "supper club with rooms" and as such are generally open for dinner at the weekends, although you need to check their website for dates of opening. We didn't stay but next time we will as the rooms look fab!). They are located literally, in the middle of a field, so a word of warning, be prepared to get lost! Once you get there, Husk is amazing. The supper club set-up is a set menu, for approx. 16 guests, and everyone sits around one table. The food is all local, seasonal and foraged. The couple who run it are really passionate & proud of their dishes and will announce at each course, all the details about each dish & they will even tell you the name of the local fishing boat which goes out to catch the fish! All absolutely wonderful & we will definitely be back. Oh and you can also book a Husk "picnic" if you attend a performance at Thorington Theatre, the local amphitheatre which looks great fun.....

Husk, is a really refreshing weekend away. The natural swimming pond aside (which is brilliant), Katie and Joey are great hosts and the food was amazing, as was the "Supper Club" concept. Really fun and relaxing stay. Would definitely come back.

Just wonderful! The most relaxing and charming weekend in a beautiful location with such gracious hosts. We stayed in ‘Jack’ which was gorgeous, enjoyed delicious breakfast, and swam in the fresh water pool which was so refreshing. Very sadly we were up in Suffolk for a birthday so were not able to join for the supper club on Saturday but heard from the other guests on Sunday how brilliant it was, so will definitely be coming back.

The food club is super and a lot of fun with a mix of people along a welcoming table . The menus always look really interesting and the food does not disappoint- it looked beautiful and was totally delicious. Great use of local produce even in the digestif. We went to a supper club evening at Husk last night and it was quite simply amazing from start to finish. From the warm welcome when we arrived and the simple but beautiful room we were dining in we felt at home. The whole experience was really lovely. Katy and Joey are very passionate and knowledgeable about their food and drink and every course was simply wonderful. We sat at a long table with all the other diners and met some very lovely and interesting people from all walks of life. The whole menu was well thought out and delicious. I’m not a dessert person so wasn’t sure if I would be a fan as I don’t like things too sweet but the honey and walnut molasses (from their own tree) tart was superb, striking just the right balance. It was a 50 minute drive to get there but worth every second and we will be back as often as we can! Thank you.

As good a weekend as you could hope for. For a start the room/accommodation was a lot more spacious than it looks in the picture. Huge bed, big bathroom, spotless. Breakfast was simple, delicious and very filling. They pride themselves on local suppliers if its not home made. Katy and Joey are the nicest owners/hosts you could wish for. Their pub recommendations were spot on as well! We were lucky enough to have dinner at the Supper Club that they host every few weeks. Genuine Michelin quality food (by an absolutely talented chef). I'd highly recommend Husk for a relaxing weekend away.

Husk is one of those rarely-encountered hidden gems. Nestled in the beautiful Suffolk, coastal countryside, Joey and Katy have set the bar incredibly high for the county's dining experiences. Their passion and focus on locally produced, seasonal and foraged ingredients, defines their business and the quality of the food and their hospitality is nothing short of exceptional. For anyone looking for a peaceful and epicurean stay in a beautiful rural location. Walnut Tree Farm at Thorington ticks all the boxes.

What a treat to go and enjoy a wonderful meal at Husk last night. Joey & Katie did not disappoint. Excellently balanced menu with fabulous Autumnal ingredients. The Bramley sour cocktail was delicious. I could have had two. Then little squares of pea & ham with mustard mayo. I did have two. The Rillettes was soft and full of flavour, with a lovely dollop of damson jelly to balance out the richness. Yum. The main was squash with the most delicious polenta and sorrel pesto. And to finish, a dreamy damson ice cream. Everything was simply perfect for my night off. Thank you ladies. I will be back if I can. Highly recommended.

We stayed at Husk just over a week ago to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had the most wonderful time. The room was beautiful, with a freestanding bathtub, separate living room and doors opening on to the back garden. Everything was so well thought of and we loved every moment. Joey and Katy were fantastic hosts and we really enjoyed their company over the weekend. Their food was also amazing, and we adored the egg plates, supper club and pantry supper that we had during our stay - everything was unbelievably tasty, local and fresh and we now have a new weekend breakfast tradition as a result! We can't wait to come back, thanks for having us!

Stayed at Husk on the opening weekend of their four converted stable rooms and had the loveliest time. Joey and Katy are so friendly and welcoming and the whole place is just beautiful. Views are amazing and our room was so nicely done with homely touches, plus was really spacious with a little entrance / sitting room area before the bedroom and bathroom - which was perfect for staying with our dog. Breakfast was simple but so tasty, all local produce, including eggs from their hens on site and amazing fresh apple juice from their apple tree, all was so nice! We loved the wild swimming pond too and used this in the morning (freezing!); the cute cabin sauna next to this was such a good idea! We had such a nice time, really peaceful and relaxing and would definitely recommend. Thanks! :)

We stayed at Husk over the August's bank holiday weekend. Katy and Joey were such great hosts and made us feel right at home throughout the whole stay. The room we were in was cosy, beautifully furnished and decorated with up-cycled furniture. Coming back to Husk after a long day exploring Suffolk definitely felt more like a home rather than just a room. While you're here, make use of the sauna and the beautiful natural swimming pool too; so relaxing! We booked one of the supper club dinners and the quality of the food was incredible. You can tell these dishes are prepared with passion and using the stunning local produce. If you're looking for a countryside retreat, trust Joey and Katy and book a room at Husk for your next weekend.

We took our friends who love fine food to your pre Christmas extravaganza. The immediate welcome was warm and inclusive and so much thought had gone into absolutely everything. Each course was introduced with enthusiasm and knowledge. Sadly I couldn’t eat everything as simply too much and I do love my food and hate waste. On the minus side the walk to the barn was so perilously dangerous with poor lighting and no attempt to de-ice the route on a below freezing night. People’s safety has to be considered and I’m sure this will happen in the future.
