Excellent food, can highly recommend sandwiches and scones. Fabulous selection of teas. Staff very warm and welcoming, cannot do enough to make your visit special. Lovely setting - particularly liked the wall covered in foilage and large decorative flowers.

Discovered this lovely eatery on our 1st visit to Attleborough. We recieved a warm welcome and made our choice from a lovely selection of savoury and sweet treats. I had perfectly cooked, tasty poached eggs on toast and my friend had a well filled tuna and cheese sandwich which came with crisps and salad. Complete with pots of proper leaf tea!! All was delicious. Displayed cakes looked so good we popped back later to try them and sample a milkshake and iced coffee, again delicious. Took some cakes home too!!

My sister'diamond wedding anniversary, so it was family and friends only, the tearoom was closed to the public for the afternoon. Situated in a street, there is parking about 5 minutes walk. Lovely greeting on arrival, very pleasant staff. This is a call worth making. The service was very good (there was a crowd) choice of tea, coffee , juices and cold drinks. They have very large scones, plain and cheese. And the sandwiches are many and varied, and well filled. A lovely variety of cakes is also available. We had a lovely afternoon.

This is a lovely tea shop. Duncan, the owner, is very friendly and extremely helpful when it comes to helping a stranded visitor. The brownies and cake were excellent!

Had an afternoon tea delivered which was incredible. Very impressed. Excellent sandwiches, enormous scones and lovely cakes.

The raspberry and coconut cake was absolutely delicious, a perfect desert for cake lovers. They are using the best quality of ingredients and a large selection of cakes, drinks, breakfast and afternoon tea. Extremely welcoming staff, excellent service. Definitely recommend it!

Friendly welcome and lovely staff. Festive afternoon tea with my family for my sister’s birthday. Such a treat: more than enough to eat and boxes supplied to take home what we couldn’t manage ☺️

Just popped in here for a quick drink while visiting Attleborough and received great service and lovely drinks. We are a bit fussy about our drinks but I have to say the guy wasn’t phased and did a great job! I like a skinny decaf mocha and my partner likes a hot chocolate with soya milk, and the cafe not only managed both, but they were really generous sizes and mine was good and hot too. All too often I get my drink less than hot which I really don’t like, but this one was great and came with a little biscuit which was a nice surprise!

What a lovely little tea shop this is. The staff/owners are very friendly and the food and drinks are always great. The cakes are made fresh in the shop and are delicious. There are plenty of places to eat in Attleborough but nothing matches the gentility of the Tea Retreat.

What can I say everything was perfect from booking afternoon tea over the phone to being greeted on arrival, service, food, staff. Cleanliness we will definitely be returning. We had so much to eat we had to bring a couple of sandwiches and couple of cakes home. Thank you to the tea retreat for my husband’s birthday.

A rainy afternoon when my friend and I, looking for a good cup of tea, coffee and some cake, whilst we had an overdue catch up – came across some great reviews for the aptly named ‘The Tea Re’treat’ and understood why, after spending a very enjoyable couple of hours there! As soon as we entered the shop we knew we were going to be in for a treat with supersize cakes, in the display cabinet, providing an absolute feast for the eyes, let alone the stomach! Only problem – which one would each of us choose! It turned out to be everything a tea/coffee shop should be – great coffee (for me) and tea (for my friend) and the supersize, homemade cakes were as tasty as they were colourful and so light! Regina and Duncan are lovely people – sociable and customer focussed. We felt like we were welcomed as friends as the four of us engaged in lively and comfortable conversation. It shouldn’t have been so quiet though – really if you are in Attleborough and it is sunny or raining – I can’t think you would get a better ‘pit stop’. I live a half hour car drive away but would have no problem making this my ‘local’ tea shop!

My husband and I went for a tea yesterday for Valentines day. It is one of the best afternoon teas we have had and for the first time ever we couldn't finish it! Our brownies and fruit were packed up and we enjoyed them with a cuppa later on at home. I highly recommend this lovely little cafe. We will be back.

After having visited the dentist we needed a pick me up and noticed the Tea Retreat hidden among the shops and decided to try it. We were pleased to see that although small the tea room was comfortable and warm. The staff were all friendly and welcoming and the food and coffee were freshly made and a very high standard. Unfortunately another dental appointment next week but it will be more bearable knowing we can get another good coffee and something to eat at the Tea Retreat

The Tea retreat is a great place. Friendly staff, clean and great coffee and tea. Haven't tried the food yet but will definitely get round to that. Also a very big thank you from Raymond for making him feel very welcome.

Without a doubt the best cafe in Attleborough. Great food selection. I can personally recommend the fully loaded hotdog. Portion sizes are very good and coffee is tasty. Very good teas with plenty of variety. Staff are very friendly and we are always greeted with smiles. Will remain as our cafe of choice! Aiming to try the afternoon tea next :)

Had cheese and tomato sandwich which came with salad garnish and a pile of crisps. Very tasty. Lovely latte too.

I had afternoon tea delivered for me and friends, it was the best I have had. The sandwiches were of "proper" bread the fillings were very classic (my choice), the cakes, brownies and scones were gorgeous, the jar cakes were very different but lovely. Along with all the little extras. Thank you very much, it made our day perfect.

Lived here for almost a year and always walk past the window fancying a cake. They look so gorgeous. Well today I finally took the plunge and went in, only negative thing I could say is that I wish I had gone in sooner. The cakes are absolutely Devine. The tea selection is great. Finally some good blood orange tea that isn’t bitter!!! The cakes weren’t too sweet which made eating them so much easier. Portion sizes are huge so you definitely get your moneys worth. Definitely going to be bringing my friends and family to your lovely cafe. Thank you so much. Service was fantastic.

Well worth a visit. The best cup of tea we've had out in ages. My husband had an Apple Crumble slice with ice cream and I had a toasted tea cake which were both delicious. Staff were friendly and the whole place was spotlessly clean unlike some of the other places in Attleborough we've been to. We'll definitely be going back.

We had a lovely lunch today, the toasties and garnish were delicious. My partner and dad enjoyed the fiery cheese toasties, unusual for them to find a bit of heat! The staff were very welcoming and the owner couldn’t do enough for us.The cakes looked wonderful but sadly we were to full up to try them. Thankyou very much

What a beautiful place to go. The guy in there couldn't be anymore friendly. Just a lovely place to actually go have a cuppa and relax. Beautiful cakes on show and a nice menu. Will be going back and definitely recommending. 😃

A nice late afternoon bite to eat at The Tea Retreat. Great atmosphere, friendly and polite staff who are very explanatory. I had a nice firey cheese toastie with sriracha sauce and a pumpkin latte, the missus had a chorizo, gruyere cheese with sundried tomato and a gingerbread latte. It was the best cheese toasties I have had very flavoursome. We did have another latte each, love a latte. Great menu and good value for money and will definitely be returning soon. Recommend highly. Unfortunately no pictures this time but will add some the next time we're in there.

Nice environment for a cup of tea and a piece of Cake. They also do a few light bites like salmon with scrambled egg which was lovely and toasted tea cakes. The cakes are excellent, the kids love coming here as do the adults 😋.

Hello, I paid a visit to the "Tea Retreat" after getting my COVID Booster at Connaught Hall. It is a lovely cosy cafe. And I had a lovely Latte before going for a walk and exploring the Town.

Popped in late this afternoon for a take away latte, very friendly cafe! Gentleman serving was fab and the cakes looked absolutely amazing.. I’m saving up my calorie allowance to go back and have a huge slice of chocolate cake next time in in Attleborough!

First time here. Had cheese Nd fruit scones and tea. Also had a slice of one of their cakes. They were excellent. Did not disappoint.

Amazing place. Afternoon tea is so lovely!! Was so much food. No way we could finish it. But we took the rest home for later which was still delicious hours later!! 😋
