The best restaurants serving Default food in Halstead St Andrew's Braintree East of England

Waited 90 minutes for our food, it turned up cold and was missing items.

Ordered one thing got over charged for a different dish then ask to rectify it got looked at like it was fault then it got sorted but no mention of the price difference bad receptionist that will run the place down

We had our first order today a takeaway it was absolutely delicious 😋

Just had the best gluten-free fish and chips I have ever taste fresh cooked to order with very friendly staff

Sat down and ordered. Food good but before finished drinks told that they were shutting straight away. No chance to order cake or another drink. Never told us that when ordered otherwise would have gone somewhere else. No wonder so quiet if that’s how customers treated

Really tasty pizza, but I have ordered many times with them and always get past the delivery window (1hr) and have to ring them up to remind them about my order, meaning delivery usually takes at least an hour and a half. Not great tbh.

Fantastic food. Went as part of our curry club. Over 14 different curry houses on essex tried and this will be top 3 in scores. All the food was lovely and we tried a variety. Clean although toilets could be nicer. An excellent night.

The food was very tasty. Such a shame it took 1 hour 20 minutes to be delivered and when it arrived one of the dishes was missing. We were told the missing dish would come in 20 minutes but after 50 minutes and two calls to the restaurant it still didn't arrive. This was our first time trying this restaurant and it's a real shame as the food was really nice, but the service was not.

Ordered 2 10 Inch pizzas and when they arrived was surprised at how small they wore, measured out of curiosity, 8 inches! When I called, to question was met with a very rude man who said we don't sell 10 Inch pizzas only 9. It's all over your website!! I just ordered your 2 x 10 Inch pizza deal. He then said listen darling I'm very busy and hung up! I was perfectly polite and said but that's not what i ordered and its miss advertising, he did not care. First time trying you and as a large family you that's a loss, we wont be back. All I can say is his partner must be disappointed if he is saying things are 2 inches bigger than they actually are!!

Such a wonderful pub! My Dad booked me and him a table on the app and put on the occasion section that the reason for visit was for my belated birthday. When we arrived they had put some balloons up around the table! What a lovely thing to do, thank you! 💖 Also the food was great, and our servers, Nick and Millie, couldn’t have been nicer! Thank you guys 😊

Breakfast served until 2pm and all really reasonably priced. Food was cooked fresh and served piping hot. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend and will be back when next in Halstead

Such a brilliant idea, lovely to meet and interact with the gorgeous rescue cats whilst having a cup of tea and some cake, you can also adopt when it's their time to be rehomed.

Went for Sunday lunch and ordered roast beef and asked for it to be cooked pink, the waitress said it will be served rare, waited and a waiter turned up with very well done meat, we said we ordered rare, he went back to the kitchen only to return with the same put it on the table to say that’s all we have!!!!!!!!!! An older man appeared and blamed the young waiter, we then got up and walked out as nothing else was offered, never go to this pub with staff attitude like that because they don’t care about customers, worst pub experience ever😡😡😡😡😡

Changes will be made if you ask Costa customer services to help (but this gets tiresome!) I received an apology and a free drink when I came across ageism, and it seemed to stop. Some visits go smoothly. Then a new visit is shocking again, and we can wait for too long, while staff chat, meander, and slowly serve those at the head of the queue. When my macaroni was ready, it was placed on the counter even though I was eating in and the order wasn't complete. "There's your order," said an assistant ... "The mocha coffee?" I asked. Oh ... it was coming. Did I want "chocolate sprinkles"? I agreed, but cocoa powder was shaken on. I waited again. The cup was plonked on the counter. No tray? A customer to my left saw this nonsense, reached for a tray, and handed it to me; she was kind but it was a used one. Another customer caught my eye and laughed. "It's even worse in Colchester!"
