Expensive menu. Took ages arriving so that my granddaughter had to get a takeaway container, as she didn't have enough time to eat it before college . And while two of the meals were great, the mozzarella pesto roll turned out actually pesto and cheddar - not so nice as expected. No apology. The salad looked great but the dressing was not very nice. Disappointing but the setting was lovely of course by the river

Delicious fish n chips - I order the mini fish & chips every week for my family. Delicious crispy batter, not too greasy. Curry sauce isn’t like the thick one you normally get but so I just order it for hubby as it’s too runny for my liking. The chips are more like slices but still tasty and cooked through unlike some other places I’ve ordered from. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED- TRY THIS PLACE

INCREDIBLE party pizzas. Adults and children alike were so impressed with the quality of the party pizzas. They arrived hot and on time, and were well worth the money. I would highly recommend!

Harrowden Fisheries wins my vote as one of the best fish and chip shops around. Their menu is full of delicious food choices from masala fish, pizzas, kebabs and burgers. We even had the left-over masala fish the next day and tasted great. And they also have a selection of deserts too. Brilliant service, lovely atmosphere. If you haven't been there I recommend you try it out.

My mother in law paid for me and my husband as newly weds for our honeymoon and last night we had dinner near the river with a side show of rats running around and this morning we wasn't greated by any staff and had to sit ourselves down no menus just help yourself as all the Staff were to busy talking in the kitchen so my mother in law has put a complaint in and they have emailed her back calling us liars so I wouldn't recmoned coming here at all

How long does the lunch baby Scenic along the water barges going by it is a nice place clean and staff are wonderful

Tried Wok Inn as our usual Chinese takeaway was closed. This will now be our go to, I've never had such fresh food from a Chinese takeaway before. All the food was delicious and they delivered it right on time to the minute. Really impressed with the quality of the food.

The foot long nachos are complete garbage and the sub had a funny taste to it. Don’t think the cucumber or lettuce was fresh.

Good for a quick break, but seats limited Food can be a bit hit and miss

Picking up food from floor and placing back into the warmer was not a good look. Had to throw the food away when i got home.

Hired The Anchor Fenlake For My 30th I was not disappointed! They took the stress away letting me enjoy the good vibes ! Staff are 10/10 friendly and welcoming Lots of variety of Drinks Good prices all my friends and family enjoyed the night .Definitely booking again for any future events

Was recommended this pub by a friend. Really looking forward to a pub lunch on a Sunday afternoon.. Completely disgraced and disappointed on arriving. Utterly disgraced by the TLC on the sofa chairs by the window ( where we sat).. sofa covers ripped seeing yellow polyestiring in seats fraying.. 😕 Friend was told pub was not doing food?? Any reason for a Sunday afternoon, could chefs be having a day off.. Very very disappointed we both were, summing up a few gents in the restaurant area having beers. Bar lady serving drinks watched me and my friend exit the pub seemingly un-concerned… Glad I’m not a local definitely will not be returning.

Visited A1 foods again go every 3 months as I live far, usually have a good experience, Carmine and the brothers are always friendly and polite, how ever the lady behind the cheese counter was rude and acted like she did not want to be there. When I asked for a certain cheese saying I couldn’t see it, she answered “it’s right in front of you “ in a very rude way, then weighed it and handed it to me without saying a word, her customer service skills are non existent. A polite how can I help? Or what would you like would have suffices.
