Britain's Fish & Chips in Bedford

My partner brought chicken and chips from this place he got home and took a bite and the chicken was mouldy. He took it back and they said it looked like felt tip pen. They also said to my partner apparently they buy their food from supermarkets which I’m sorry they should have a distributor for their food.. Don’t go to this place….

Chicken nuggets are the best. Chips were lukewarm but the fish was awful this time! It was not fresh and the batter was soggy. It had an odd taste like it had been under a hot light for a while. Could not eat it.

Due to the food arriving on a push bike food was lukewarm.so not impressed

everything was nice and very hot

fish was oily, dripping with oil, batter was all dry and full of oil, like it had been sitting all day and just recooked, chips were all dry and were like crisps, the male staff who was on the phone was rude and defensive....order at your own risk, a total waste of money!! did not even offer a GWG for next order, or nothing.... diabolical service....

Although food was good ,who ever delivered it to me could hardly speak english could not understand him

I would not go back there. I bought fish and chips last night from that place and I only live 10 minutes down the road, when I got home and went to plate it up I was given a load of cold grease chips that was not fresh, the fish looked lovely. I bought it back to them and said is this what I paid £8 for? His argument was that I must have lived further that 10 minutes and that's why they went cold and looked burnt... Tell the truth you gave me LEFTOVERS. But did not think I would return to complain about it. He didn't even apologise just kept looking at the chips and blaming me. £8 I would never recommend that place to anyone.

I was really shocked with my order, wow I ordered small cod and chips for myself and it was so tasty, and huge, everything else in my order everyone was very happy with, everything was so delicious, the prices were a good price for what you receive, excellent.

food was great, delivery was late though not the restaurants fault. even still, they gave us extra fish, I assume to make up for it which they didn't need to do but was appreciated

Ordered 2 x small cod, 1 x medium chips and 2 x mushy peas. When delivered there was no fish. Rang the restaurant who said we are very sorry but if you come and collect we will give 2 x medium. I said I wasn’t able to collect. They said I would have to claim for a refund via just eat. Had chips and mushy peas for dinner. Very disappointing. Not hard to make sure you have the correct items on the order in the bag, especially where there was so few items to pack. Will go elsewhere in future

Never fails to hit the spot. The chicken meat and chips is delicious and fresh every time!! Portion sizes are great for the price too.

Wrong food delivered phoned the lady but she couldn’t get any satisfaction from the people who sent the food and I must say that if I knew her address I would have taken it to her.

Had food from here before and was very happy with quality. This time it was very disappointing, overcooked (fish was dry, batter was greasy and chewy, not crispy and light as our previous experience had been).

Delivered while stit warm enough treat immediately. delivery driver had no problems with the instructions and was very pleasant. Will have to learn how to choose from the menu better as it was my first time and I couldn't find where some of the stuff I would have liked to order were.

We didn't get the food we requested, we received thigh and drumstick rather than wing and breast. We also received food which we didn't order.

not the best experience, Luke warm food, part of order missing, although when we rang up to complain lady was polite, told we had to go and pick up missing item. refund given. would I order again from here, probably not, plenty of others to chose from. on a positive note, my Mrs said curry sauce was nice.

I have eating at this place for about 3 year one of the best chips shop but I must say had large cod and chip x2 and it was the most horrible cod I have ever had so disappointed it has now put me off cod if was cod
