If we have to go into Bedford .Poppins is the only place we eat. Great food and service for very reasonable prices.

Brilliant bacon and eggs as usual .. perfect crispy bacon too ...mmmmm ...today Sunday 18th December 2022 I decided to try scrambled egg on toast with crispy bacon ...sooo good ! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to the staff and owners of Poppins in The High Street in Bedford Town centre...serving great food with a smile in a clean restaurant still !! Food was amazing, staff were friendly and helpful, and the ambience was great. They're very generous with the portions tooi even came away with a doggy bag! Our favourite Bedford eatery now

If you haven’t eaten at Poppins or had a delivery you need to, there food is amazing, my son had the chicken burger and chips, he said they were very tasty and cooked perfectly, I had the small breakfast, everything was cooked perfectly, the portion size wow I had to eat some later, very happy and will order for a delivery again.

I had an omelette and salad. The omelette was cooked very well and was packed with plenty of cheese and mushroom. The salad was fresh and tasty. 10/10 will defo come back again.

Our first time in here and we all enjoyed it. Comfy clean tables and chairs. Nice friendly staff and the food was tasty and cooked perfectly. Prices are very fair. We will be back in the near future for sure.

Poppins is awesome. Really great food with an extensive choice of dishes. Fantastic, polite, and professional service. This is my go-to for all-day meals in Bedford. Walk in, sit down, and enjoy. Shout out to all staff.

We had a mid week breakfast delivery from Just Eat from Poppins. Delivered very quickly, it was delicious, food quality ingredients and freshly cooked. Probably cheaper than me buying and cooking myself.

Haven't had a poppins breakfast in months and they used to be lovely. I had one this time and it was terrible. The bacon was awful, sausages have always been bad and the eggs weren't nice either. Neither was the b pudding and the fried bread was soaked in oil. I don't know whether you have new cooks or something but the quality has deteriorated shockingly.

We came in to Poppins today and my wife asked for a cappuccino with a specific milk as she has a dairy intolerance. She was given coffee with whole milk which has made her feel sick since then, and we are unhappy with the lack of attention to detail and dietary requirements. This was a simple request! :-(

Great staff and food , went this morning , found a place to eat as I’m new to area

Food is OK, but with the manger ranting and raving like a lunatic put us right off our Food we paid and left. This will be our last time.

Ordered breakfasts for two this morning and it arrived well before time. It was hot and delicious and the driver who delivered was very courteous and cheerful. Will definitely be ordering again

Whilst the location is not the best for food and service is always good. The American pancakes are always hot and tasty. The gammon today was very good value for money and the service was very good.

Both Fiance and myself are disabled, and we often face problems when eating out. However... Poppins in Bedford was an absolute delight! There was plenty of space to move around and there was some wonderful, friendly diners there too. The Staff there were amazing, friendly, welcoming and this is the first time we have ever felt so welcome. We ate at the restaurant two days running.. and although I had the same meal each day.... I loved it (sausage, chips and beans). Everything was fresh, hot and superbly cooked. As for recommending?... 100% yes, Thank you to all the Staff.. we truly appreciate all that you do!

First time in this restaurant - passed it regularly for years - always saw people inside. Dinner type of service, a bit dated but clean, friendly atmosphere, polite staff, affordable food. Seemed like lots of regular goers. As it is on High street very convenient for breakfast or lunch.

Food was hot and baguettes were big and full! Halloumi was delicious and my latte was double lidded and wrapped in cling film which I was super impressed with, it was hot and not a drop had spilled. Fast delivery, will definitely order again!

Delicious freshly cooked breakfast in a friendly, traditional cafe restaurant. Had large breakfast and very nice cup of tea (nice tea a rarity these days). Great price so excellent value. Very nice and fully recommended.

Ok so this is still one of my favourite places to have English breakfast at. Their prices has gone up significantly since 2011 but it’s worth it.

Myself and my friend popped on here for lunch. We sat down and a waitress named Ellie came to take our order and within 5 mins. She was polite and helpful. I ordered a Lemonade and my friend had a cup of tea. We then ordered two breakfasts. Hot, fresh and delicious. A good sized plate of food well worth trying. Clean and tidy. We left full and happy. Well worth popping in for either a lite snack or main meal. Waitresses and Chef/staff were very friendly.

My son took me to Poppins, Bedford for a Mother's Day treat, it was absolutely amazing.

Great cafe on the high street. Opposite Barclays Bank. Breakfast Grill is really tasty and value for money. Staff are friendly.

Food is bland and tasteless, service from the young is good, but how people think this food is cooked perfectly have clearly never had perfectly cooked food.

A trip back to my youth. Me and the wife used to eat here when we were dating in the 80's. The current owners offer quickly cooked and good food

The staff are very patient with customers, sometimes customers do not return the favour. The food has been amazing for decades, prices are amongst lowest in bedford. Plenty of seats, everything you need. And the breakfast? Omg, I would come here every day if I could.

Big portions which is always good. Arrived hot. The only thing me and my other half werent a big fan is the sauges were a bit naff. Almost a bit mushy inside. Other then that a great breakfast

After many years of visits and years of good food. Today was a total let down, the restaurant was mildly busy, yet the food was rushed out and not well presented, orders were incorretly tabled. As the food was delivered to the table, some of it was luke warm at best. The quality of food has also diminished, smacks of cheaper purchases to cut costs. Disappointed at best.

Fast, well packaged and delicious as always!

No frills, honest food. So we have shied away from this place for years, mainly because the decor is not very inviting. Once you're in it, you kinda understand that perhaps that's what keep bringing their clients back. The service was topnotch, friendly, inviting and attentive 10/10. The food itself.... Ok... It is what it is with Poppins, it's not food to blow your mind, it's just food, like I said, simple honest food. The food that you get when you visit your nan or a relative. Does this place need a makeover? Yes! but perhaps it works the way it does because it hasn't done that and I hope it doesn't change, I like it the way it is.
