A rather uninteresting place, with large fermenting tanks in the Bar area, an echo chamber of horrors, we were looking to dine, alas the place at lunchtime was empty, so we left to find somewhere busier.

Came here on Saturday night. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere was great, making it a very pleasant experience. Emily and Ross truely made the experience memorable, they provided us with everything we could have needed, they were both super friendly and their service was excellent and efficient. Emily is also hilarious, her chats and energy made it an experience to remember! Would definitely come back! Great food, drinks and staff !! Thank you again to Ross and Emily for looking after us!

I visited brewhouse yesterday with a friend as we were curious about their new menu and it was a wonderful experience. We were greeted by Emily who answered all our questions about the new dishes really confidently and recommend the chicken schnitzel which was great! (Compliments to the chef, Tomek - I hope I spelt that right) We actually returned later that evening and we want to mention Ross who served us at the bar, he gave us tasters of the Tropical IPA and the American Pale Ale which was so nice to be able to try it before getting a pint. Great work brewhouse, we will be back!

Went into brewhouse yesterday and was served by both Emily and Ross through the afternoon and evening, their recommendations and service was amazing! Loved the "Legend" lager and will be back!

Did the brewery experience day. It was brilliant. Richard, one of the Senior Brewers, was Passionate and Knowledgeable. Plenty of samples given (great beer by the way) and having a go at the brewing process was fun!

Came here for lunch with my fiancé on the whim and were served by the lovely Emily, who talked us through the menu. My fiancé was well advised on beer choices by Ross behind the bar. Wonderful experience, a reasonably priced gem in Bedford.

Visiting bedford for the first time in 10 years and alot of places have changed so have been trying different places to go and was very pleased with my experience at the Brewhouse and Kitchen! We came for a drink during the day on Saturday and the atmosphere was great and the staff were lovely, I was recommended a drink from Emily who really knew her stuff and made me feel very welcome. So welcome that we decided to come back later that day for a meal and yet again received amazing service. The second time we were served by a young man Ross and his again he made us feel very welcome and gave wonderful service. Will definitely be back and will be recommending to our friends.

Could not think of anywhere in Bedford I'd rather go, Brewhouse is the place! The atmosphere is always lovely and the staff there are so brilliant at what they do - shoutout to Emily who looked after our table and made the night super special (also special mention to Ross who was on the bar and made the BEST drinks)! I very rarely leave reviews but the experience I had this past weekend deserves 5 stars. The atmosphere and beer selection only surpassed by your warm and charming staff! Emily exemplified how important it is to have passionate staff that care about your experience. And ross absolutely made our night. It's people like them that will drag me back time and time again! I’m really disappointed to be leaving this review but unfortunately me and my partner have had an awful experience. We made a booking for 17:30 over a week in advance. The Brewhouse called me to ask if it was okay to move the booking due to a private event taking place and offered a discount due to the inconvenience of changing the booking time. Our booking was shifted to 19:30. On arrival the building was absolutely heaving with people from the event which was supposed to finish at 19:00 but everyone stayed longer. We were eventually seated all the way at the back of the venue, between the toilets and the entrance to the smoking area - we were told it was quiet however this was not the case. It was about as loud as you’d expect for an event with over approx 100 people all drinking. The service was slow from the moment we got from the door which is understandable from how overwhelmed the staff were. Once we were seated we could hardly hear one another. We decided it would be best to go somewhere else where we’d not be put 2nd, we felt like we were an inconvenience to the Brewhouse. It was near enough 8pm when we decided to leave and it was still heaving. The general reviews for this place are brilliant and we were super excited to have some food and drinks here but were let down, my word of advice would be for anyone who has their booking changed due to an event would be better off just cancelling all-together and coming back another time.

The atmosphere and space here make it one of the nicest places in the town centre to get a drink and bite to eat. They have a great beer selection, the food is tasty, they are extremely child-friendly (games!), the staff are very accommodating, prices are reasonable and they do show sports. We had a Christmas group meal and that all ran smoothly, as well - I really liked the menu (I think it was Christmas 2022). I haven't personally tried one of their experiences (beer masterclass, gin or whiskey tasting, etc.) but my friend who has been raved about it.

2-3 years ago it was a very nice place, the food was delicious, the burgers especially. Now the last visit disappointed me. The mug for tea was dirty, I went to ask for another one, it was still dirty. The sugar container was awful. The hot chocolate that I drank was not well mixed, the window shop was dirty also. Two men enter the pub, and sit down for 5 minutes. No one came to ask them anything. And they left. I understand it was just opening hours... But . Still ...

I’m doing a brew experience day. Have to say that the brewer, Teju, is superb. Very knowledgeable, extremely patient, enthusiastic and generally excellent. The venue is great, really tasty beers and top quality food. Would definitely recommend the brew day experience with Teju, she is brilliant.

Great beer making experience day for international womens day. Tej who is the lovely female head brewer was so friendly and helpful and willing to answer any questions about the brewing process. The breakfast was really good. Delicious sausages, crispy bacon, yummy hash browns. Lovely atmosphere, consumed quite a bit of beer! Enjoyed the tropical beer

Very bad service they can’t make drinks we spent a lot of money but we get wrong drinks no return accept

What an unexpected surprise. This old bank has been a pub for sometime, but I’ve never tried it - until tonight. A last minute change of plans meant we needed somewhere to eat in Bedford and we popped in to the Brewhouse. I hadn’t realised it was also a microbrewery and what a selection. I tried two different IPAs and if you like modern, citrusy, cold IPAs you are in for a treat. Food was average pub fayre at average pub prices, my chicken was tasty with a honey spiced sauce (if a little overcooked). Still it was what we needed, when we needed and served hot and quickly. Staff were also really helpful throughout. Overall, well worth trying and I’ll be back to try some more beers.

Only had couple of beers very nice

I worked from here for a day. Loads of plug points and great WiFi. The food and service are also brilliant. The only thing that made me go home earlier than I would have is the atmosphere. I was a bit cold and it's not very cosy, would be lovely if there was a nice cosy area to sit and work. The smell of smoke also trailed in from the smoking area which wasn't particularly pleasant. But otherwise a great place to work and get stuff done!

Popped in here while working away for a burger and beer , very tasty burger and a nice cold beer . I had onion rings on side but they were a little greasy . Nice atmosphere inside with live sports and happy hour 4-7 sun-thurs with beers for £3.75 Staff were also very welcoming on arrival , will definitely return

Visited on Saturday with some family - Brewhouse were the only place to accommodate for 8 guests at short notice (in lunch rush) without an issue. The server (young guy) was honestly fab - he rearranged the furniture for us all, came over and checked on us regularly, made sure we had our drinks, food and enough cutlery - and was so polite and friendly. Also, gave us a gluten free menu (and theres a good selection too) Give the fella a raise. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 The place itself was awesome. Great to see brewing in store, fun decor and clean toilets. Sports on TV too. Will deffo pop in again when I'm back to see my family. 👍

Went here on a Saturday afternoon to use a voucher we had been gifted. The selection of beers was good. The food was decent but only 3 different options of burgers as per the voucher. The person who served us seemed arrogant and the other person behind the bar was just plain rude to another customer pulling faces when the customer didn’t hear what he said. The toilets were disappointing with a very long metal sink unblocker on show and the mirrors falling off the wall.

Good selection of beer. New staff not 100% certain how things worked. Friendly and helpful however. Food was ok…had better on previous visit. It was quiet so lacked any ‘buzz’.

Possibly the nicest bar staff and team I have ever met - what an absolute bunch of diamonds. Had the pleasure of visiting with the family before a party and ended up staying for a few hours. The American Pale Ale was particularly a highlight, and the food matched too. Get the pretzel. Could easily have stayed for even longer. Was a lovely atmosphere and really great company too. Look forward to hopefully popping back!

Service was pretty lacklustre and a number of beers were out of stock. There were also no bar snacks. Usually a nice pub with own brewed beers. But post-holiday seems to be a bit down on usual service and quality. Still recommended for a casual beer.

Amazing food and setting for a great atmosphere. We went to bring in the new year and my fiancé was shocked and impressed by how much choice of beers and ciders there were. I found it by chance and definitely be going again. The staff were lovely and funny and very accommodating. Just a shame I didn't catch their names. The bonus is that they do classes in beer, gin and whiskey and even brewery tour.

We were somewhat disappointed with our experience yesterday, starters were satisfactory, our daughters main course (Venison ) was very nice ,however the two turkey dinners were not good, vegetables stewed in a gloopy gravy along with the turkey which appeared to come off a catering slice. Not satisfactory and we asked the server to bring it to the managers attention, we were ignored and left unhappy. Our roast potatoes and desserts were good though. I believe the main chef was not present at the time but this is no excuse to serve substandard food at this price point

I booked our regional xmas do at Brewhouse and it was perfect. Beth was on hand throughout the night and was a dream to work with. Food/Drink/Atmosphere and service all top drawer. all attendees feedback has mirrored this, we will be back (if we are allowed) Boyd - Spicerhaart :)

We had a great time here, service and staff were top quality. In particular Beth, Dom, Mel and jo. Above and beyond customer service, great attitude and happy to guide us through their excellent range of brewed beers and recommendations of favourite menu items. Well done. Best selection of craft ales in Bedford, but prices are the highest also. Very good food, but menu is the same as Spring this year.

Our evening of a "Whisky and Beer Pairing Masterclass" was wonderfully conducted by GAZ. GAZ warmly welcomed us and his introductions to beer and whisky production were very informative. His selections of both the whiskies and beers were wide and varied with the introductions to whiskies from around the World particularly illuminating. Thank you GAZ for conducting a wonderfully informative evening which has broadened my knowledge.

On the High Street so convenient - had the food last time and liked it I like the atmosphere of this pub- nicely decorated- variety of local beers and ciders. had a very tasty low alcohol cider.

My visit to Brewhouse in Bedford was a delightful experience. We arrived around 2 o'clock, and I was immediately struck by the peaceful and inviting atmosphere. The ambiance was perfect for a relaxed afternoon. The highlight of my visit was definitely the experienced bartenders. They were friendly and knowledgeable, making my drink selection a breeze. They took the time to understand my preferences and recommended the perfect cocktail. Their expertise added to the overall enjoyment of my visit. Now, let's talk about the drinks. The cocktail selection was impressive, with a diverse range of options to choose from. Each drink was carefully crafted and beautifully presented. The flavors were well-balanced, and the attention to detail was evident. Additionally, Brewhouse in Bedford also offers its own home beer selection. Really nice bar in the high street! I haven't eaten here yet but the food looks very good. I was just concerned i hand't paid my tab but i think i must off. Met friends who live in Bedford( i am in Biggleswade) and just wish we had one here!!. Manager was very helpful too!!

Nice atmosphere and accommodating for large groups

Spent a Sunday afternoon here for food and watching rugby. A few things missing from the menu, which seems to be a bit of a trend and unfortunate for a place that titles itself on food. But the staff pulled out all the stops to make us feel welcome ( thanks Melissa, Jo, Dave, Thomas and Vendal in the kitchen, Beth and Dom) Beer is great and well done to the chief Brewer Paul and what they left behind.

My wife and I had a great afternoon watching World Cup rugby and enjoyed a Sunday lunch. The Sunday roast was delicious as was our desert selection. Accompanied by a lovely session IPA the experience was fabulous. All the staff were so friendly and helpful throughout our time in the pub and the atmosphere was very nice. Compliments to the chef. Had a great night at the beer tasting masterclass run by Jo. Was a great insight into how the different beers are made and the stories behind them and Jo was very knowledgeable and friendly all round a great experience.

Booked a beer masterclass and had a brilliant night. The selection of beers was great and Jo was a brilliant expert offering her insight and the history of each beer. Learning about the brewing process was another highlight. I will be booking another experience here in the near future.

This visit was a gift for 3 flight craft beers and a burger. The food was delicious and the service went above and beyond. Very friendly and made us feel special. We had a pint of our favourite before we left.

My experience at brewhouse was wonderful. I am a carer and went with patient that i was looking after and they have been so welcoming to both of us. It was really overwhelming.

Me and my partner came here for a beer tasting evening. It was one of the best tasting sessions we have done! I’m not a beer drinker but my partner is but even I enjoyed it! The measures you get are very generous. The lady who was doing our session was called Jo and she was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. The food was amazing too and very good to cater for what you want. The only downside was that where you sit for the tasting you are right under a speaker and due to the rugby being on it was very loud and hard to hear. But apart from that I would 100% recommend.

Great beer poured by the lovely Joe and Melissa, followed by a great chat and very knowledgeable Paul - The head brewer. Couldn't praise this enough . We need more pubs like this

The food is overpriced, it's nandos prices for much worse quality and the quantity is small. It wasn't a busy evening and they had run out of about half the menu. If you have to go here whatever you do don't get the 'Bang Bang Cauliflower wings'. News flash! cauliflower doesn't have wings! It was rubbish I only ordered it because they ran out of chicken? The cauliflower tasted like gravel and the rice was an uncle Ben's sachet (unconfirmed) but just as average. The beer I expected to be tasty but it tasted like beer I could get anywhere there was nothing special about it.

Nice pub grub, more a venue for beer drinkers though.

I did the brewery experience day and Paul was our guide. Overall, an amazing day not only learning how to brew beer, but actually doing it. Of course, interspersed with a few pints. I would recommend to both budding brewers and those who are just a bit intrigued to learn where their pint has come from. If booking, give them a ring to find out what you need to bring for the day - the emails can get lost.

We visited for a Beer Tasting Masterclass. Jo was our expert, and she was great! She knew her stuff, she was informative and friendly. We got loads of beer, a main meal included as well, which was very tasty! All in all, highly recommend the experience!

Paul was an excellent host he taught me all about how to brew beer and was very charismatic throughout.

This place has been here for several years now, and is one of my go to places for a beer in Bedford. However, I’ve definitely noticed in the last few years that when I need to go relieve myself, the toilets are in a worse condition than any council toilets pretty much every time I’ve ever been in. There is no excuse for smelly toilets and loose toilet seats please if you refurbish nothing else get somebody to refurbish the toilets.

My partner Tom and I attended the gin tasting afternoon, gaz was our demonstrator and was so fun but knowledgeable too. He got us talking all together with the other people on the table and we all had a right laugh, The pub was clean and the food amazing , the gins we various strengths and we both left a little more wobbly than when we went in but was a great time , no pressure to buy anything or oversell was just a fab experience, well done x
