INCREDIBLE party pizzas. Adults and children alike were so impressed with the quality of the party pizzas. They arrived hot and on time, and were well worth the money. I would highly recommend!

Great authentic pizza in Bedford. We’ve ordered numerous times from Marcellos over the last few years and even tried others locally but nothing comes close to theirs so will keep returning. Whether it’s trays for a family party or individual pizzas for al fresco eating in the summer you get consistent quality here. After spending nearly 3 weeks in Italy last summer and ordering our fair share of Italian wood fired and stonebaked pizzas this easily competes with the best of them. Thank you Marcellos. Look forward to the next order.

The best pizza in Bedford, if you want authentic good quality Italian food delivered to your door then this is the place to call. You might have a longer wait than others but it is so worth it.

... but believe me, it's worth the wait. On a Saturday night, it took over an hour, but having ordered from them several times before, we are made aware of the wait and know it is worth it. For 4 people, we ordered a tray, with half veggie and half meat. Delicious. Ingredients are always fresh and the dough doesn't upset my stomach like some do. Their garlic pizza bread is also very very good.

Love the food, especially their carbonara. Very authentic, which I love, just how it should be. Have used them as take away only at this point but I intend to go the restaurant very soon.

Made an order worth over £60 on the phone the other day and had to listen to the owner's/employee's complaining about the amount of work he will have to do because of me. Collected the food in person and, again, listened to more complains about the size of my order to the point of rudeness. Almost every dish from my order was burnt (garlic bruschetta, lasagne, pizza), waaaaay too salty and especially calzone was not edible!!!!! - pictures attached. Portions quite small, btw. Everything about this place is very disappointing. Stay away from Marcello Pizzeria.

Just had lasagne. I don't mind paying £8 but expected it to be bigger than a birds eye frozen lasagne. I specifically said no anchovies on my pizza. They obviously put them on there then took off as when I got to the last bit I was almost sick found one on there. £7 for an undercooked garlic pizza. Pizzas were good apart from anchovy. Won't ever go back. They should have scrapped my pizza after dropping an anchovy on it. Simply they didn't want to lose the pizza they had prepared. Terrible

We visited an award winning family owned pizza restaurant in Venice while we were on honeymoon in August of this year and we realised that high street 'pizza' retailers were now dead to us! But, where can you get authentic Italian Pizza in Bedford? In short, Marcello's!!! They were recommended to us by an Italian friend from my work and how glad are we that she did?! The pizza was amazing. Freshly cooked crisp, light base, delicious tomato sauce, beautiful mozzarella and lightly spiced pepperoni. This is my fall back choice and I know what I like and what I don't. A lot of pizzas leave you dehydrated and disappointed but not Marcello's. Seasoning was perfect and the herby undertones just what I wanted. I know there are a couple of other places that are comparable to Marcello's but really, are they going to be head and shoulders above them? I don't think so. If you want a fairly priced fantastic quality pizza delivered piping hot and quickly then Marcello's is a safe and sensible bet. For us they are now our goto choice. Thank you!!!

Absolutely hands down the best pizza I have had in Bedford! The tomato base is really what makes it amazing, its my favourite base out of every pizza I have ever tried. I usually have the pizza with aubergine and courgette with balsamic vinegar and it is to die for! This really is pizza at its finest. The starter I had which was the aubergines in tomato sauce with cheese, really got me excited for my pizza. The aubergines were cooked beautifully. Very good service also, the lady who took my order saw me drive in and started bringing my food out to me before I was about to get it myself. Fantastic and attentive service! Will be ordering again very soon!

The main issue with somewhere like this is you are starving when you order but because it takes so long for the food to get to you by the time it's here the magic has left the building and you are nolonger interested or excited about the pizza. When you crack open the box it doesn't look appetising however tastes really good. The answer is easy for me Dominoes are quicker and tastes good. So if you can handle the wait order from here

Marcelo gives us a delicious pizza on a nearly weekly basis. The tray pizzas are great value for a group, perfectly cooked every time.

The starters the pizzas and the pasta are all restaurant quality which is amazing for a takeaway establishment. Would definitely recommend if you like authentic Italian food.

Discovered this place through word of mouth, and I'm so glad I did! The pizzas are authentic Italian, no deep dish or hot dog stuffed crust nonsense here! The pizzas are made using fresh ingredients, and are a joy for the taste buds. Highly, highly recommended.

I am Italian . I have been to this amazing Pizzeria da Marcello takeaway. Honestly, He make the best pizza in Bedford area.. The place is simple, no stupid stereotypical decorations. Only one word IT IS THE BEST ... full stop

It is our first order from Marcello Pizzeria. After looking at the menu, my husband decided to order as it looks nice. After placing an order. We waited over an hour for our food to be delivered. When I called and asked where our food was, the lady said the driver has left 10mins ago. I said it has been 1hour and 10mins and the lady replied "have I given you an exact time because I don't remember giving you time?" I said- the normal delivery time is 45mins... I thought it was rude for her to say that after all 1) I'm a customer asking where our food. 2) we have placed an order, paid for it. It's not like we haven't paid for it.We ordered at 6:03pm came at 7:25pm. When the food arrived it was quite cold we had to put it in the microwave and reheat it. My husband's pasta & pizza was nice & tasty. My son's spaghetti Bolognese was also nice & tasty but the garlic was burnt and tough! We didn't get our money's worth. Quite disappointing because we were looking forward to the food.

Ok so I've tried them all in Bedford over the years and this place quickly became our favorite place to go to for takeaway pizza.Pizzas are great and definitely worth trying.

I've lived in Bedford my whole life and can't believe I've never heard of Marcello's until now! Best pizza I've ever tasted! Delicious, fresh ingredients and a fantastic authentic Italian tomato sauce! Will be coming back again! Thank you!

Ordered several times still the best pizza. Staff always happy to help and food always top quality.If you want traditional pizza this is the place to go.

Pizza is always lovely and hot tastes like it does back home in Italy! I always ask for extra toppings and they always are so helpful and kind they are never late and pizza tastes so good. Always nice to get a couple of pizzas for the family once every now and then

We ordered Marcello's Pizza last week for a family celebration and they never disappoint. Was really yummy and arrived on time.

Had our pizza delivered to Wixams tonight and were so pleased we tried Marcello pizza. We've been looking for somewhere with authentic thin and crispy Italian pizza for a while and these guys really delivered (literally!). We went for a 15" Caribbean with a salad and chips which easily fed two adults and small children. So much better than cardboard Dominos et al. Will definitely be eating from here again.

Judging by our entire workforce using Marcello at least once a week and never having anything less than delicious we all agree that this is by far the best Italian around. The pasta is also amazing. Friendly service every time. Highly recommend

It isn't a restaurant but it does really wonderful authentic Italian pizza. None of the mass produced chain rubbish here. Fantastic, my only gripe is that I wish I'd found this place much sooner. The Marcello special really was special! Will absolutely be ordering from here again.

Takeaway pizza from Marcellos. Used to visit his restaurant years back in Hitchin and just found the pizzeria in Bedford. The pizzas are just as good as the old days! Will defo return. Lovely to see that Marcello has not changed and is still an authentic Italian pizzeria. Shame we don't live nearer. Pizzas lovely thin and crispy and as always great toppings. Will return.

Dear me! We decided to have a nice night in with some friends and following one friend's recommendation went for Marcello (party tray), delivery should have been within some 30 mins, after over 1 hour we rang to hear the guy laughing down the phone, saying "oh, totally forgot! Will be with you in 20 minutes". After another hour we rang to cancel (thinking there's Chinese down the road) but heard: he's just left. Well at that time it would be 5 minutes drive if that was truth -after another 20 minutes... Yay! Well, not sure -the cardboard box it arrived in would probably have more flavour! Tasteless, dry, chewy, don't think I've ever had any worse -my friends agreed. Well, we'll never make this mistake again! (authentic Italian? No one there sounded briefly Italian and certainly pizza wasn't Italian style)

I've had 3 Pizzas delivered from these guys and have to say the pizzas are excellent. Base is thin and crispy but not too much, toppings are fresh and delicious. In most towns this would be the best pizza, hands down. Bedford has a thriving Italian side though so it's not that simple. There are 2 others that I also rate very highly. I can highly recommend the Marcello Special Pizza and the superb Bruschetta Pomodoro.

If you want to eat best freshly made Italian pizza than go to this place.If you like something really spicy try "Hot and spicy" make sure you got a drink with you!Something really nice is garlic pizza bread just geourgouse and so simple.... you need to try!!!

Hi this is a little Italian Take Away place on the little industrial park on Harrowden Road in Bedford, so you need to know it is there. The food is amazingly good, real Restaurant Quality but to take away. Its a real family business with a warm greeting and a characterful owner. Great Menu with Pizza, Pasta and some other specialities. It is not the cheapest but it is the best Take Away Pizza I have ever had, they do delivery and great Tray Pizzas for big groups. I would say give it a try its well worth it!
