I've done my fair share of pizza. In many cities. This place is pretty special, especially for the UK. Highly recommended. Just had a tuna, red onion and sweetcorn pizza which was truly incredible.

pizza arrived cold and dry. I also think they forgot to cut the pineapple up into small pieces. Will not order from them again , very disappointed.

Staff from Papa Gigis Pizza in Bedford called me 30minutes after I was placed order on just eat. They appologise for the delay as driver collected my pizza and dropped on the floor. Driver walked out. Person who called me with appologise and they offered me refund or if I am ok to wait another 20 minutes and they will make another pizza and deliver themselves. I was happy to get my pizza.

Fantastic pizza. Delicious dough, fresh ingredients and delivered piping hot. Will be back.

New ownership, new style of pizza, but still great.

Not great. Pizza is really greasy and doughy. Chips are mediocre - no seasoning and weirdly cooked. Very greasy and lacking flavour all around. They don’t want to be there and it shows

Gone are the best pizzas in town. Under new management and they have changed the style of pizza. Nothing unique about papa gi his anymore! Bring back Luigi!!!

Note: under new management, so serve a different style of pizza now. Gone is the pan pizza. It's now closer to Neapolitan. Still good quality, but Gigi's used to stand out. Now looks and tastes similar to many in the area.

Fantastic service and amazing food. We ordered 9 pizzas in total from Papa Gigi's for our business lunch and was very impressed by the quality. The dough was second to none, it wasn't greasy at all and the cheese you could tell was high quality. Will be continuing to order from here on for our business events.

Used Papa Gigi's for more than 20 years. But tonight's experience was awful raw dough uncooked cheese. Phoned to let them know. The lady apologised but felt disappointed.

Ordered a Large Pisa, apparently pepperoni.. it was cut in to 8 slices, each slices had ONE pepperoni per slice!! Ow no 2 slices had zero on. Definitely wouldn't order this, you will get around 7 pepperoni on a 14 inch pizza!

Excellent pizzas and still hot when I got home. Complimentary salad was a nice touch.

Received phone order on time but when opened pizza it was on the verge of burnt so tasted crispy! Also we ordered two portions of chips which turned out to be frozen crinkle cut chips from a supermarket and one portion had a lot less in it than the other! When I phoned to complain was just told that they will pass it on to the manager. Very disappointed and will definitely not be ordering from this place again!

Italian pizza? SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!While eating I realised that dough is extremely under cooked, basically the pizza with RAW DOUGH. Me, my pregnant friend and our daughters were eating it before realised!!!!! I threw it away and rang them to complain, they told me that they’ll make again. I didn’t even wanted another nasty pizza but they were not willing to give my money back. Once driver came he told me he wants the pizza back, it was in the bin already, so he told me to take it out!! as he will not give us the new ones lol. I asked to show me what he brought and it was burned as hell on the edges, so nasty. We didn’t even wanted to eat from there anymore 🤢🤢🤢🤢🤢 my first and defo last order. SHAME ON YOUUUUUUUUUU, I do not think you ever see Italian pizza.

This place is amazing! The best pizzas in town and the service of exceptional. Gino is such a caring and kind owner. He goes above and beyond for his customers and even popped by to check up on me when I was poorly. This is a true reflection of real community spirit. My favourite pizza is the Roma & I love the miniature Italian pastries for dessert. Food always arrives piping hot when delivered and they even do a gluten free base! If I could give 10 stars I would!

We had another lovely family take-away meal from Papa Gigi’s! The Sorrento was delicious and the kids enjoyed their favourite Napoli! A genuine Italian family owned take-away, spot on!

I have seen many negative reviews of this place from years ago, but I think that their pizzas are better than Dominos or Pizza Hut. Although the pizza is delicious, it is a bit expensive

By far the best Pizza that Bedford has to offer. Luigi (Gi) has been making tummies happy for 30 years. All fresh ingredients and always so tasty.

My other half (who lives in Norway) ordered me a surprise pizza to my house. Super pleased with the 'Venice' pizza, so light, airy, perfect dough consistency with a generous helping of toppings. So far the best pizza I've had for take out. I'd rather support more local businesses than larger chains. Thoroughly enjoyed this pizza! If I ever want another pizza takeout I'd definitely order from here again! Even my dog was eyeing up my pizza! The order didn't take long and was still hot on delivery. Thank you! GREAT VALUE :)

Great pizza but a bit pricy and lacking a 12inch option for some reason.

Me and my partner had bad tummy’s the next day. The pizza dough wasn’t cooked enough and was really thick and way to much sauce. I won’t be ordering from hear again. Definitely not a classic Italian pizza

Ordered a few pizzas for a sunny evening, and they were kind enough to give us a free garlic bread. Such lovely and kind service, been ordering from here for ages and have never had any complaints or issues, the staff are always lovely and the food is great! Will keep returning!

I went into Papa Gigi's to try to order some tray pizzas in advance for a children's party that I had booked. Unfortunately Gino informed me that they were closed on the particular evening of the party much to my disappointment. To my delight though Gino offered to come in (on his night off and do the order) - what a great guy! The food was delicious, proper pizzas with a lovely authentic tomato-flavoured base (not like the mass produced rubbish you get at the big pizza chains) and the order was spot on for collection at the time he quoted. He even rang me just before to confirm the booking and collection time putting my mind at rest.To top it all, there was a little birthday cake for the birthday boy (my 3 year old son) and a personalised message. Needless to say the pizzas were wolfed down by everyone at the party and my only regret is that we didn't order more!What a great guy dishing out some top notch grub. Its no wonder that this place has been going for so long when you look after your customers and treat them like that!! :-)

We've been having this take away for over 10 years ,most recently last week - I can recommend the gnocchi & the egg Milano pizza in particular, it always arrives in good time & is a hot enough temperature. The staff on the phone are friendly ( I mainly get to speak to the boss) as well as the delivery drivers. Never got round to eating on site tho.

My friend & I were walking down castle road on a friday and decided to get some food. After looking at the quiet pizzeria we decided to get a takeaway from over the road at Papa Gigi's. We will definitely be making this choice again. The staff were friendly and catered to my friends dietary requests without the hassle that you get from a big chain. We both agree'd this was one of the,if not thee best pizza's we have had. You could taste it was handmade with fresh ingredients. And best of all the price. Worth every penny. Would recommend to anyone that eats pizza

My nephew Joe tasted his first pizza from Papa Gigi’s when he was 3. That was 22 years ago and he has being stopping by ever since. Last weekend we had a family gathering just up the road and challenged the chefs by ordering a selection of pizzas, ribs and pasta. They were more than up to it and got a thumbs up for all seven of us. Grazie per tutti, Gino. You are a legend!

Been using papa gigis for years now. If you want takeaway pizza like you would actually get in naples then bin off the chains and order your pizza here! Great service and pizza!

I stopped by to order one of the newly available vegan pizzas and all aspects of the visit were brilliant. The fresh preparation and cooking took maximum 12 minutes, I had a good chat about why I was ordering vegan and why it was now available here. The pizza itself was a delicious vegetable pizza, the ‘sorento’ with vegan cheese and it was a joy to eat proper pizza that matched by dietary requirements but tasted authentic and supported a local business on my doorstep. This will be my go-to for all pizza in the future when I’m in Bedford.

This was the worse experience of eating a Pizza my partner and I have ever had. It was absolutely disgusting the dough was under cooked and wet the toppings were tasteless we ordered one with spicy Chicken and spicy Beef they literally had no taste and definitely no spice. The whole thing tasted stale from tasting stale. It has put me off Pizza for life. How they ever got a 4 star rating is beyond me. I reluctantly gave It 1 star I would of given it a quarter star if I could have.

Didn't really want to write this review but felt I had too based on my recent experience - Unfortunately a negative one., I did not have a hot bag for a delivery which I wasn't informed of by Uber - they state on their website that it is recommended and not essential. Once I arrived, I was confronted that I should have one (which is not my fault) as I tried to explain the issue but I was embarrassed in front of other members of staff even though it was not my fault - if I had known this before I would have bought one. I understand the owners point of view but it was not right for them to give me a negative review as it genuinely wasn't my fault and I tried to tell them that. It's more about how I was treated than what was said. It was really humiliating.

Our first time trying their vegan pizza and I've got to say, it didn't disappoint! The staff are really friendly, and it seems like it's a place that genuinely wants to cater to vegans, which is always nice to find! If you're vegan and in the area, I definitely recommend going here! They also cater for those who are gluten intolerant. :) Little tip: the pizza is great hot, but it's even better cold!

How has this place received 5 stars? Awful, old left over chips from the day before that had been put in the oven or under the grill to heat up as burnt! No way freshly cooked! The £10.50 pizza tasted vulgar and threw it in the bin. It ALL went in the bin! Nearly £20.00 wasted. "29 years" he said he has been there for, how? DO NOT GO NEAR!

Great pizza for all people. All the pizzas on the menu come out delicious they can't get anything wrong. Would definitely recommend the Pisa to any first timers. Such a good all rounder pizza. I'm not vegetarian myself but they will accommodate for any vegetarians happily. The staff in the shop are friendly and really give a good experience There is a bit of a wait for the food but it's worth it. Can't rush a good pizza

Food was tasty, I believe polenta based dough, so very light and sweet. The customer service was great; the chap was friendly in helping my friend and I choose a pizza for the first time. Prices are fair but the portion sizes are more than generous! Would happily go back again for quality, Italian food. :)

Great pizza and great service, if I have one criticism it is that they don't offer a massive choice of toppings compared to some others.

Pizza here are delicious and made with rare care and attention. The passionate owner has been making pizza here since the 80s and has established himself as a local favourite in community with a Italian heritage so that's definitely saying something!

The freshest, tastiest and best value pizzeria I know. I am a very fussy eater and have used Papa Gigi's for years and years. Seriously, don't bother with all the other places. This is the one! Yum yum to the whole menu!

He comprado pizzas de cadenas conocidas y aunque puede cobrar menos, son muy grasienta, bready y no excesivamente generoso en sus coberturas. Papa Gigi son propias de tamaño completo, pizzas grandes, finas y crujientes con un montón de ingredientes. No se ir a ningún otro lugar. El personal también extremadamente educado, amable y servicial.

I always have the pisa which has the garlic butter on the base! Its fresh, hot and excellent value for money compared to your rip off Chain companies!! Try the salads and chocolate toothpaste too!

I ordered from Papa Gigi's with no real expectations of quality. I fancied an alternative to the overpriced, inconsistent pizza behemoths that I usually stuck to. The pizza, despite taking a little longer to arrive than expected, had been made to a very high standard and the service was incredibly courteous. I would definitely order again, and urge you to defy the default choices and try the alternatives that Bedford has to offer.

I have been going to Papa Gigi's for ten year now and it remains the best pizza in Bedford for me. Staff are always friendly and service is quick and easy. Would definitely recommend.

The large pizzas are really good, and the salads too! we often get a delivery. Phone service great, succinct, pleasant. Speedy delivery. Delivery staff are polite, friendly. Love it here.To emphasise how honest a business they are. On one occasion they actually accidentally overcharged us and we hadn't noticed. They came back to us with money and apologised.

Although I have not actually been to the Papa Gigis in person we have had 2 deliveries from them and both times the pizzas have been excellent. The guy who answered the phone for our order was great fun and very friendly.

If there's one thing I look forward to most on pay day is going to see Gino and the boys. It's a lovely, friendly place to visit but let's be clear, I wouldn't bother if the pizzas weren't so damn good! I love the portofino but often ask them to recommend something as they talk about their pizzas with passion. The ingredients are fresh and the flavours are mouth watering. There's simply no competition for pizzas of this quality for miles!

Gigi's do lovely pizzas, the Gigi's special is simple but delicious. The Pisa is a decadent option, but a firm favourite. The food is no frills, but it blows every other take away pizza in Bedford out of the water. Thoroughly recommended.

Gigi's is a Pizza place I have always kept close to my heart. There was a good few years where I was out of the country and I was so glad to hear they were still in business. It's no surprise really. The pizza is of a very high standard using quality ingredients, and it tastes great! I've also ordered a couple tubs of their garlic butter which is amazing on toast or even to cook with myself. You gotta try it.

regular pizza takeaway choice. Can't really fault the place, the chocolate toothpaste desserts are always a winner!

Ordered a takeaway over the phone for quite a few of us and got judged on how much we ordered (its a business your job is to sell stuff!!!!) When the food arrived it was overly greasy and didnt tast that nice.We did not eat very much if it as it was just too greasy and all 10 of us didnt feel too great for the next couple of days. I undertand ir is fast food and not good for you but still the poor quality we recieved was a joke. Very dissappointed as we had heared so many good reviews.
