The best restaurants serving Default food in Carholme Lincoln East Midlands

My daughter and I visited this week to check out her new University town. We had read the reviews and loved the concept and ethos that makes this place so special so decided to visit. We were not disappointed, what an amazing place. Located within part of the church the atmosphere was airy, calming and relaxing whilst the decor was eclectic, homely and comfortable. We ordered a Pepsi and tea for one which held 2 good cups and was served in the prettiest pot and matching tea cup, the tea was genuinely one of the nicest cups I’ve ever had. We indulged and had a red velvet cake and chocolate brownie ( served warm or cold, with or without ice cream!) and thoroughly enjoyed every delicious mouthful. The service was quick and friendly, the staff were wonderful, so cheerful and welcoming. We spoke at length with one lovely lady who explained more about the charity behind the Rising Cafe and the people they support. She spoke with my daughter who is starting University there next month and made her feel genuinely welcomed to the community. In short The Rising Cafe is an amazing oasis of positivity, good food, joyful atmosphere, genuine, kind staff and a wonderful place to come to whatever your reason for being there, it’s good for the soul. We can’t wait to visit again very soon, this will definitely be our ‘go to place’.

Buntys ist ein unglaublich süßer „Tea Room“, der einen in die kleine Tee-Welt reinzieht und die Außenwelt für einen kleinen Moment ausschaltet. Wir hatten uns dort für den „Afternoon Tea“ und einer heißen Schokolade entschieden. Bei der großen Auswahl an verschiedenen Tee-Sorten konnte ich mich nicht entscheiden, sodass die liebe Bedienung mir etwas rausgesucht hat (es war eine kleine Überraschung). Es hat alles hervorragend geschmeckt und der Laden mit seinen 5 Tischen ist klein aber ungemein gemütlich. Es ist auf jeden Fall eine große Empfehlung, wenn man in Lincoln ist.

We ordered a afternoon lunch selection for 25 people at our baby shower in Lincoln. The owner Dez could not do enough to meet our requests. He delivered a fantastic spread. The selection of sandwiches were delicious and he catered for everyone’s dietary needs. His homemade sausages and his scones with cream and strawberries went down a storm. They delivered to our venue, which took away all the added stress. Thanks again for delivering us a lovely spread on our special day. We will definitely use Margaret’s Tea Rooms a again.

We ordered the scrumptious afternoon tea for two for collection and it was incredible. Not only were the treats amazingly tasty, but the service was excellent and very friendly. Thanks you!!!

Great place for brunch. My wife and I both had vegetarian omelettes which were both excellent and substantial. This one’s a gem.

This new restaurant/take away is brilliant. All home made from sandwiches and cakes to full English breakfasts. I had the Sausage and Bacon roll, which comes with proper Lincolnshire Sausages. The roll was stuffed and extreemly tasty. The staff were bubbly and friendly. I will be returning at least once a week for my breakfast and hopefully more meals inthe future. Highly recommend. When I popped in around 10:30am the restaurant was packed, not a single seat available. I only wanted takeaway anyway and the service was fast. This new place will be one I frequently visit and so should you.....

Really good coffee and breakfast bagel at reasonable price with great service. A little gem tucked away on the way into the city.

We visited late at the lawns for a birthday celebration. We were recommended by a friend . The evening was a great success. The food and service were first class. Including a birthday cake for the birthday girl. Highly recommended.

Dined, at this amazing little gem of a restaurant many times.. Food always superb. Staff attentive & polite. Highly recommend the Moussaka! One of the best I have ever eaten! The Cesar Salad is delightful! Fresh ^ super tasty.. Look forward to my next dining experience here🙂

I visited twice on one day, once with my Mum for coffee and lunch (amazing savoury crepe, and loaded fries), and again later that evening with a friend for a cocktail. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and lovely food and drinks

Brilliant coffee shop, 200 degrees coffee Limited but good menu, clean tidy and was easy to park Loved watching the water skiing too

As a member of the Real Bread campaign I was really pleased to find this charming little shop on Steep Hill on the way up to the castle and cathedral. They have a sourdough of the day and last Sunday it was Apricot and Almond. Lovely tasty bread, made as it should be with flour, salt, water and love. Bought some baked goods to take back home and they were enjoyed along with the sourdough a d some Lincolnshire cheese bought elsewhere. Next time we are in Lincoln Vines will be a must visit. Do the same. You won’t regret it.

The best most friendly place in lincoln for whatever you want after your night out!! May take little longer but it is 100% worth it. Been coming here for a long time now and am never disappointed!!!!
