Bunty's Tearoom in Lincoln

Buntys ist ein unglaublich süßer „Tea Room“, der einen in die kleine Tee-Welt reinzieht und die Außenwelt für einen kleinen Moment ausschaltet. Wir hatten uns dort für den „Afternoon Tea“ und einer heißen Schokolade entschieden. Bei der großen Auswahl an verschiedenen Tee-Sorten konnte ich mich nicht entscheiden, sodass die liebe Bedienung mir etwas rausgesucht hat (es war eine kleine Überraschung). Es hat alles hervorragend geschmeckt und der Laden mit seinen 5 Tischen ist klein aber ungemein gemütlich. Es ist auf jeden Fall eine große Empfehlung, wenn man in Lincoln ist.

Wow.. what a lovely tea room. Choice of teas and cakes, 30s 40s themed room and soft background music to fit. Young lady serving was excellent. Attentive, polite and happy to chat too. Tea and cakes were wonderful and well priced. Highly recommended 10/10 We will be back, thankyou

Bunty's Tearoom 18 Steep Hill , on the steep hill up to the castle or treat yourself on the way down. Very pleasant staff . 2 hot drinks and Lincolnshire plum bread ordered. Both served on china cups,saucers,plates. Cream teas etc served, nice vintage decorasions inside . Very pleased well worth a visit.

Coffee and scone with clotted cream Popped in for coffee and cake but went for a fruit scone with clotted cream instead - absolutely delicious - warm, fresh and so full of flavour - one of the best I have ever had! Staff were delightful and so friendly and helpful - had lovely chat with owner as well. Looks brilliant for gluten free too. Can't recommend it more highly - will be back next time I am in Lincoln.

We ate here for lunch whilst visiting Lincoln. It’s a small and quaint place. Very lovely. Staff were very friendly and the food was delicious at a reasonable price too. Large portions. We were very satisfied and would recommend and return.

We recently visited Bunty’s for a friend’s Baby Shower. The room upstairs was lovely and the afternoon tea was delicious- there was plenty of food! It was so easy to book and sort it as the staff were so helpful. Would recommend Bunty’s for an event and will definitely visit again.

We went to buntys and we had a proper cup of tea in a tea cup and saucer and tea pot all bone China . The place is amazing just down the hill from Lincoln cathedral

Stopped at Buntys as walking down step hill , what a delightful little cafe , full of character and charm , great service and food , would definitely recommended a stop here if in Lincoln

This was our second visit to Bunty's Tea Room. The staff were Brilliant the service was first class, the atmosphere of nostalgia is superb, but the scones, cakes and along with our coffee and fruit tea were excellent and flesh. This will NOT be our last visit in the future

Beautiful sedate ambience, a great hot chocolate and a scrumptious hot filled sandwich. The service was very friendly, and I thoroughly recommend a visit before popping up to the Cathedral. Heaven :)

Visited this place with family on a day out to Lincoln, we found the staff to be very pleasant and friendly. The food was delicious, good size portions. The I’ll be visiting again next time we are in Lincoln .

From the moment I stepped into the tea room I was welcomed by the lady serving and by other customers. The tearoom was full. The family at the table just by the doorway said they were leaving soon and told me not to go elsewhere because they had just had the most wonderful afternoon tea and delightful atmosphere. My daughter and I had actually found a table at a coffee shop nearby, but with most things off the menu and not exactly a warming welcome, something in my mind said to go and look at this tearoom, as I had pointed it out as we walked past. I am so glad that we decided to come here instead. We would have really missed out on a treat. The atmosphere in this tearoom is so calming and welcoming. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The food was delicious, just as I had been told by the customer earlier. The cakes were delicious, the red velvet cake was perfect. If you're looking for somewhere with homemade food and a friendly calming atmosphere then this place will not disappoint you. I will definitely be back again next time I visit Lincoln.

Do they not want customers - seemed lije too much effort for them to clear a few cups away to let us have a table. When were asked to wait outside the shop wr simply left and walked away.

Lovely little tea room. Enjoyed a nice lunch at Bunty’s, the food is good and well presented. There is an excellent choice of teas (it was good to see Darjeeling on the menu). The staff are very welcoming and go out of their way to make sure everyone has an enjoyable visit. We look forward to returning.

I can’t recommend this wonderful tearoom highly enough. Friendly staff and nostalgic decor evoke a sense of times gone by. They offer a fabulous selection of teas (and coffee) and - as for the cakes well, they’re unreal! All home made by Rhiannon and absolutely delicious. The first day I was being “sensible” and resisted the temptation - but had to go back the next day to indulge my sweet tooth! Definitely worth every naughty mouthful!

Turned 6 customers away because the young girl couldn't cope with the customers coming at once.. customers were asked to wait outside in the rain when there were tables available to sit at but customers went elsewhere..shame

Lovely tea rooms, but let down by the toilet. Had trouble negotiating the hill, so nice rest. Not far from the cathedral so a must stop on the way up or way down.

Great for a refreshment stop while taking in the sights of Lincoln or for when your just shopping, we discovered this gem of a tea shop when we came on holiday here about 9 years ago. When we moved here 4 years ago, we were delighted to find nothing had changed, Bunty's was still here & as gorgeous as ever! Whenever we pop into Lincoln, Bunty's is always a stop on our list of things to do. It has a lovely 1940's theme, with china tea cups, quirky tea pots & homemade cakes to die for! The welcome is always warm & it feels like stepping out of the modern world for a moment, back to a more relaxed, not rushed & cosy time. They have a loyalty card too so you get a free cuppa on your 8th visit. We can't wait for our next trip into Lincoln for the opportunity to visit our favourite tea shop again!

Having lived in Lincoln for a little while now, and having walked up Steep Hill quite a few times, I’d never set foot in Bunty’s before, so decided to visit for afternoon tea. We found the food to be very tasty, the service friendly and efficient and the decor/ambiance something a little different but enjoyable. We would definitely visit again and recommend to others 🙂

This unique cafe on the famous Steep Hill was just my cup of tea. Filled with nostalgia of a bygone era. It was a great place to snuggle in a cosy corner with my book as I was travelling solo. The staff were lovely , my lunch was delicious with fresh food followed by a lovely freshly baked cake all swilled down with a lovely creamy hot chocolate. Will definitely be back.

We didn't realise until we were shown upstairs to a table, that this cafe is a shrine to the 1940's nostalgia. I hate fancy dress and I'm afraid the cluttered artifacts gave me the creeps. In particular a fake cake with blue icing under a dusty glass dome, awful. The toilet is retro bright blue but the seat is broken and wonky. The staff were nice enough and the cup of tea was lovely. We really disliked the surroundings though.

It’s at the top of Steep Hill in the city so you’ll have an appetite when you get there! We had a lovely breakfast. It’s a quirky little tea rooms that will fill people of a certain age with nostalgia. The ladies serving were dressed in lovely 1950’s clothes and the crockery was also very retro. Bunty's is an excellent tea room on Steep Hill in Lincoln. We got there shortly before they were closing and were initially told that there was only limited food available. However, they then brought out some delightful scones and we had a very nice cream tea. Very friendly service. I would highly recommend Bunty's.

Disappointing Experience We were asked to wait outside for the table to be cleaned upon entering the tea room, a practice not limited to just us but applied to every visitor. Although tables were available! One customer was told to go and have a walk!! Once inside, we found the cake to be disappointingly dry and minute slices of cheese with the plum bread. Additionally, the coffee, though reasonable, was notably subpar. Overall, the experience left us with a sense of dissatisfaction and room for improvement.

I just love these little tea rooms, themed old fashioned surroundings are spot on. I have to have a gluten free diet and this was well catered for with excellent simple produce cooked and presented very well.

It has been a while since we have had the opportunity to visit Bunty’s. However, we took part in a free walking guided tour of Lincoln, (lincolnfreewalkingtour) and decided to have afternoon tea here afterwards. This is a small tea room and gets very busy, you may have to wait for a table, but it is well worth the wait. We did not have to wait and got a table straight away. The staff are very friendly and welcoming here, and we really did enjoy our afternoon tea. I had the gluten free afternoon tea including the delicious chocolate cake. For those with a gluten intolerance there is lots of choices on the menu. I would definitely recommend visiting.
