Happy Culture Cafe in Lincoln

We travel ( by train) from Manchester to Lincoln to to see the peregrine falcons nesting at the cathedral and visit this wonderful cafe. Their sandwiches ,soups and cakes are delicious. Highly recommend.

Lovely little cafe, love that it is 100% plant based. Popped in very briefly for some takeaway food. Delicious food and turmeric latte was incredible. I had the vegan kebab and Lemon cake and would recommend both of those!

Had coffee with the family at the vegan Happy Culture Cafe in Lincoln. While no one else complained I thought the coffee was quite weak and watery, however i do normally like a stronger cup and no one else complained. We shared the: Vg Sausage roll- nothing to write home about however it was still tasty and nice they offered it warm. Pain au Choc- Super tasty and not something i’ve seen around muxh. Super fresh. Lovely friendly service here and full-fills a nice in the local area which I think is very good, especially since this all came out at around 12 pounds.

A real gem. Light, bright and airy little place on a quiet square just a moment away from the hustle and bustle. Super friendly staff who were extremely tolerant of my pre-teen's indecision, and kind enough to allow him to flex the menu to suit his ever-changing tastes (!). Food was good and very reasonably priced, at around £5 for an MLT. Highly recommended!

Lovely little vegan cafe off the high street. The staff were so nice and welcoming, I sat in here for a couple hours doing work and it was relaxed and quiet. The drinks were great and not too expensive either, I had the beetroot latte, an Americano and an oyster MLT which were all good. I would visit again soon.

I love this place. Give it a go as it has its heart in the right place and the food, teas and coffee are really good.

The Beetroot latte was delicious, and the mushroom, lettuce and tomato sandwich was tasty too. The pancakes were the best I have had.

A lovely space with a small but well thought out lunch menu. Everything is prepared to order so it's super fresh, but not the best choice for a big group looking for a quick bite in their lunch hour. Room for buggies and toddlers welcome - I wish HCC had been around when I had a kid that age!

Happy Culture Café is a fabulous plant-based café with a wonderful community focus. The quirky, cool decor gives the café a modern, relaxed feel and much of the furniture is sustainable and upcycled. The staff are fantastic, friendly and fun. The food is to die for and includes great lunch options and fresh bakes and cakes. The tea selection is amazing too! Happy Culture is such a treasure for Lincoln and their sustainability practices and community values are exactly what is needed in any city.

Great to find a vegan café, but it was not the most inspiring food somehow. The flatbread we ordered somehow seemed more like pitta bread. Perhaps it was just the shape and size. And the filling was not particularly flavourful, apart from the chutney, of course. I'm used to much more imaginative, home-cooked food from a vegan place.

Very friendly and accepting. Definitely lives up to the name of being a safe space.

Lovely Café with very friendly owners and staff. The food served here is very tasty and always very nicely presented. As for the appearance it is on the small side however this gives it a more homely feel and allows for quicker service and a quieter setting. The café is fully sustainable and environmentally conscious as well as being fully vegan based however they have a great varied selection. I highly recommend and can't wait to go again.

LOVE THIS CAFE! I am lucky enough to have Happy Culture just over the road from my work! Being vegan it couldn't be more perfect! But I can't stress enough that you do not have to be vegan to enjoy this place, if you just love delicious coffee, good food and friendly people then you will love it here! I love the fact they have meditation, yoga and other classes on in the evenings, such a great idea to combine a cafe with a wellbeing hub! This place is a must go!

Had some lovely Bao Buns that were delicious. Never been to a vegan place before and I am very happy to go back. It was reasonably priced too.

Not a vegan, and this is still has some of the best food Lincoln has to offer. The maple pecan pie is particularly incredible. As a bonus, they have a calendar of awesome activities for anyone who suffered social starvation during lockdown.

Such a lovely little cafe, very dog friendly and lots of super vegan food to choose from. As vegetarians is is so refreshing to go to a cafe and actually have some choice of what to eat! Staff are super, really welcoming and friendly...would recommend to everyone.

Great place for tasty veggie/ vegan food and coffee in a light and pretty venue. So close to Steep Hill bustle but in a pleasant green square. Check out the calendar board to find lots of wellbeing classes and events after hours.

Lovely, friendly place that has clearly made conscious decisions to reduce the impact their business has on the planet, from their vegan food to their loo roll, from their straws to their 'pay it forward' board. They also run yoga classes, poetry nights and open mic nights. Wonderful.

Great vegan food and a good price. 1 star knocked off for having a piano in the cafe that anyone can play. Unfortunately some kid thought he could play and inflicted some pain on our ears.

There is so much that I love about this cafe. The space is bright and welcoming, which totally fits the chilled out atmosphere. I help run the peer group Upbeat, and have felt incredibly welcomed and comfortable here - everyone who has come to the group has commented on how relaxed the cafe space is, and I cannot thank Natalie and William enough for their kindness and understanding. If you're not sure what type of drink you want, or what cake you'd like they are happy to take time to talk you through what the differences between different types of coffee are, and which type of plant milk goes best with your drink. Nothing we have asked for has been too much and we are so grateful to be able to have an hour of time to ourselves on Thursday afternoons. I definitely recommend this as a place to drop in whilst in town for a relaxed drink and a bit of a time out - and as a venue for a small group of people.

Lovely, friendly place and fantastic food. A place to watch for upcoming events for poetry and the likes.

This place is a “must visit” in the area of Lincoln’s castle. The place has been open for a month and the food, atmosphere, coffee and passionate team are simply outstanding. They operate a plastic free, vegan and ethical cafe that is best described as “chilled”. I would highly recommend a visit. They have a specials board and all day menu. Greta for families, couples and singletons who just want to drink great coffee and eat fantastic cake and read.

We loved this cafe! So friendly and it's bright and airy inside with loads of plants. The food is delicious. We tried the bean burritos, cheese and avocado ciabatta and fluffy pancakes. Lots of eco-friendly details such as plastic-free loo roll. Would definitely be my much-visited favourite if I lived in Lincoln.

🌿 Just bustling with happy souls and a great environment! Yoga and other events also seem to be available weekly on their colourfully huge calender - so you know what's going on! 💚 The plant based food is just fantastic and the drinks are very refreshing with milk alternatives of oat, rice, soy, almond and coconut! 🥙 The bao's look amazing and we've heard nothing but great feedback, so looking forward to ordering them next time we go in 😍 They also boast an array of plants inside and out that make the place feel like you are truly surrounded my a plant based culture! 🌿 Miss the place already!

A new favourite!! 💚 I was so excited to visit, and was not disappointed. The atmosphere is really relaxed, and the staff are all incredibly kind, it definitely lives up to the name! Food and drink are great, and it's wonderful to support an ethical independent business 🌱
