Everything soo lovely, sandwiches fresh and full. Cakes all so light and tasty and large variety. Bread and butter pudding amazing. Would highly recommend, one of the best Afternoon Tea we have had. A big thank you 💕

Daughters bought the Gentleman's Afternoon Tea for their dad's birthday and a Truly Scrumptious AT for me too. We've had these before, absolutely wonderful. Everything is beautifully wrapped and labelled and comes in a fabulous Lady Rose large cake box. A great present. Thank you. Highly recommended.

I ordered the Valentine's day afternoon tea which was delivered to our door at the allotted time. All the items were individually and carefully wrapped and labelled. We could not have been happier, the look on my wife's face was priceless. So many 'brownie' points for me. (Pardon the cake pun). Would highly recommend. Can't wait for lockdown to lift to be able to visit and experience the full Edwardian experience.

My wife ordered me a surprise traditional afternoon tea, for my 60th birthday. It arrived within the time they had specified, and was beautiful presented in a gift box. Well packaged and very fresh, like it had just been served in the tea room itself. I was surprised by the quality and quantity of it all, “and I can usually find fault with anything”, so that is praise indeed. The coronation chicken sandwiches were the best I have ever tasted, and were to die for. There was so much food, we couldn’t eat it all, and I have a huge appetite, so will get another treat today finishing it. We will definitely visit the tea room for the full experience when the lockdown is eased. Again thank you for the afternoon tea, and the extra “surprises” you supplied, it made the day.

In more normal times, this tea room is the perfect place to visit for a true Edwardian experience. However all is not lost! They are still providing afternoon teas for collection or delivery. We enjoyed the "My Fair Lady" afternoon tea, freshly made sandwiches with a variety of fillings and so many choices of delicious home-made cakes! A very tasty experience!

I ordered the vegan afternoon tea to be delivered to my son. The service was delightful from start to finish. Will definitely use again and visit once covid restrictions are over. Thank you for your help making this possible.

My husband and I love it here and before lockdown, visited whenever we could. The food and service are always impeccable. During lockdown, we can sadly no longer go inside and enjoy the wonderful atmosphere of the tea room itself. However, you can still order afternoon tea to take away! We ordered the Truly Scrumptious Cream Tea and it definitely lived up to the name. A wonderful, big box packed full of sandwiches, cakes, scones and other goodies that was enough to eat over several days. Nothing is lost in the journey, everything tasted every bit as good as is served in the tea room. I recommend everyone visit Lady Rose's as soon as you are able but until then, ordering a takeaway is just as delicious.

It was my birthday and my partner arranged an afternoon tea. Firstly the service was superb catering for an earlier delivery, something for the children and providing alternatives to cheese. The spread was beautiful a nice selection of sandwiches, pork pie, scones of course and a nice selection of cakes which lasted us over several days 😃

We last had a Christmas Afternoon Tea from the lovely crew at Lady Rose's. They always provide an amazing spread, all freshly prepared, and beautifully packed up to go. There is always a couple of little teats snuck in, and the Christmas Tea also came with some delicious mulled wine, as well as the traditional Lady Rs tea. Cannot say enough about this wonderful 'hidden gem' of Lincoln, it is an absolute delight to have them in the city. Go! Buy their delicious food!

Called in advance to arrange a collection of a Christmas hamper and the selection was sensational.I've been before and go back every chance I get and I'm never disappointed. I have never had a better mince pie or hot chocolate. And the ginger cake is the stickiest, sweetest, most delectable I have tasted.Mr and Mrs Gearing create the most wonderful treats and still manage to create an atmosphere of elegance and sophistication, even in takeaway form. Please go, you'll see.

I ordered the afternoon tea for delivery as me and my friends were having an online afternoon tea event. The food was absolutely lovely and there was plenty to be had - I’m a vegetarian so I saved the non vegetarian food in the fridge and gave it to my sister, and I was still happily full! There was lots of variety and So. Much. Cake. The delivery was good as well as I can’t get into town with the plague going on, and they were very nice about allowing a delivery of afternoon tea for one because they had a delivery in my area it could go with. They followed up over messenger to see if I’d enjoyed the food, which I had immensely! These are very difficult times, and I think they are doing a great job.

We had our second takeaway afternoon tea from Lady Rose's just before Christmas and it was a complete delight. Packaged in a charming box, there is lots of lovely food (it lasted for two meals and we had cake after!) And the surprise of extra treats made it even more special. Delicate and delicious sandwiches were followed by showstopper scones - giant sized and light as a feather and the gingerbread cream for the mini mince pies was the best thing I tasted in December. Then there are the cakes - Mr Gearing really does make exceedingly good cakes! Nothing is too much trouble - allergies and preferences are catered for - and I can't recommend highly enough.

As per usual, fantastic service and food!!!We gave a very short notice due to last minute booking of our wedding ceremony in the middle of the pandemic, and Mr and Mrs Gearing have done their absolute best to get all the food and also our wedding cake done in the time and made us feel very special. Everything was wrapped, labelled and packed up neatly for us to take away and lot of the packages had little messages which warmed our hearts. Their service and personal touches are above beyond!!! I'm sure we will be going to their tea room for many many years to come!We cannot wait for these awful times to be over so we can go and enjoy some more of Lady Rose's delicious food and the wonderful company of Mr & Mrs Gearing. Once again, thank you for making the most important day in our lives even more special!

Just had the lovliest afternoon tea collected from Lady Rose's Edwardian Tea Room... 1 gentleman's, 1 truly scrumptious and 1 gluten free. Everything was gorgeous and it came with menus, napkins and hand wipes Thoroughly recommend 🧡

A little off the beaten track, located opposite the Central Library, but definitely worth seeking out. You do need to book ahead due to Covid, but my wife and I were fortunate enough to nab a walk-in table. Don't count on this, though, as spaces are limited so book to ensure you don't miss out!A lovely interior and very friendly staff with a nice atmosphere with the classical music in the background. We had the Truly Scrumptious Cream Tea which is a very reasonably priced afternoon tea considering what you get. My wife and I had one apiece and had to take a little home with us because we were stuffed! Delicious cake, tasty sandwiches, a good cup of tea, nice staff and a comfy atmosphere. My wife loved it, I enjoyed it and we'd definitely be back again.

We do frequent this tea room regularly and it never fails to deliver. The whole place is spotlessly clean and they are following covid 19 precautions to the letter. I tend to have the sandwiches because the fillings are generous. The cakes are just amazing and it is lovely to have real china cups and saucers and silver teapots. The background music is subtle, tasteful and not intrusive. It is just so plesant o get away from the traffic and hubub and unwind.I am gearing up for the mince pies again. Last year they were so delicious I think I had about four on separate occasions. It is the sort of tea room that I go in alone sometimes because they are welcoming and I do not feel like a gooseberry!Most highly recommended.Mr Gearing is also knowledgable about Edwardian life and is always happy to answer questions. We often discuss life back then and the role of servants in the Edwardian household. He also has a wonderful sense of humour.

I have been a couple of times to Lady Rose’s now and have thoroughly enjoyed myself. The service, surroundings and food is just excellent!! My husband surprised me with a birthday booking for afternoon tea at Lady Rose's Edwardian Tea Room. What a lovely afternoon we had. From the moment we entered the teashop we were warmly welcomed. The atmosphere is relaxed and charming. We were fascinated by the wonderful antiques that made up this wonderful setting and had some very interesting conversations with Mr and Mrs Geary. In fact, I'm going to hunt down one of the photography books that we were shown so that we can do some more research at home. As well as the truly unique setting, the food itself is exceptional. All fresh and homemade. The sandwiches were all delicious and the cakes were fabulous. Of course, we were unable to eat it all but brought a box home with us so as not to waste anything. Thank you for such a wonderful afternoon. We will definitely be coming back and will look out for one of your themed events as well.

This place sells itself on the Edwardian ambience, which is very well done. The service is also superb. However its real strength is the excellence of the cakes. They are a cut above! The tea is also very fine with a range of varieties. A gem!

Absolutely delicious. We came here for afternoon tea last week - took advantage of the Eat Out promotion - even at full price this would have been well worth it and a bargain. The sandwiches were soft and fresh with delicious fillings. The scones were freshly baked and must have been the tallest and lightest scones I’ve ever had. The cakes were fresh and moist too. There was so much food we ended up taking home the Lemonchello cake to enjoy the next day. There were some little biscuits and chocolates too. The tea rooms have a lovely ambience and the couple who run them were delightful. We love going for afternoon tea and this has set an extremely high bar for anyone else to match

Went here today for afternoon tea.The selection of sandwiches and cakes was great. The staff were attentive and couldn't do enough to make our experience enjoyable.We will be making it a monthly thing to visit here, could not reccomend enough.

Afternoon tea for my mum's birthday, but a treat for us all. Very high standards for customer service, hygiene and Covid compliance.The afternoon tea is delicious, all home made and great value for money - you will need a doggy bag! Went for a lunch today - sandwiches and scone and lovely tea. Still spotlessly clean and covid safe with many measures in place. However, this is not intrusive and does not detract from the ambience. Lovely gentle music playing and Mr Gearing's cakes in a beautiful display. His cakes are to die for and sooo artistic. Great to be back and we will make it our 'regular' tea room again.

Absolutely beautiful vegan afternoon tea, warmly and exquisitely presented by Mr and Mrs Gearing, Butler and Maid to Lady Rose, at Lady Rose's Edwardian Tea Room! ☕Everything was so delicious, with personal favourites being the Coronation ch*cken sandwiches and the chocolate brownie cake with rosewater icing and crushed pistachios!

Our son and future daughter-in-law took us for a treat to this truly beautiful tea room. The owners are so friendly and go the extra mile to make your visit a memorable one. You are transported back in time to a dining room that could be a scene from Downton Abbey. They are happy to tell all the stories about the artefacts on display. Spotlessly clean and cakes to die for. The sandwiches came with a side salad and crisps and we sampled the beef and Stilton, egg and mayonnaise and cream cheese and cucumber. All were fresh and tasty. Cakes - well you are spoilt for choice. Can highly recommend the coffee & walnut but the cherry bakewell scones were so light and fluffy with the sticky ginger cake with ginger icing was finger-licking good! This is not just a tea room - it is an experience like no other. Cannot recommend it highly enough. You must visit.

I love this place! Had cake in the past & today had a takeaway Picnic Afternoon tea that was packed up all lovely for us. There was so much amazing cake, i am still stuffed hours later, and we had leftovers. The scones are the biggest scones i have ever seen! Particularly recommend the Rose & Lavender Scones, just delicious. The owners are just the loveliest couple, who just go above and beyond to ensure everything is perfect for you, i would highly recommend a visit.

After several weeks of having to have my cream teas by take away, I was glad to be able to visit and eat in again. I am happy to report that even with some necessary precautions due to the current pandemic, the same high levels of service still exist. My wife and I had pre-booked a cream tea and after using the hand sanitiser provided, were shown to our table and served with a pot of tea. Shortly after this the cream tea arrived with the undoubted star of the show for this visit being the chocolate orange cake which was delicious, clearly Mr Gearing has lost none of his touch with regards to his culinary creations, the man seems to have a natural genius for baking and getting just the right balance of flavours in his cakes. As always, there was too much food to be consumed at one sitting, so Mrs Gearing provided a doggy bag for us, so that the excess can be eaten at home, excellent service, excellent food and excellent value for money.

Had a socially distanced garden party for my daughter's 8th birthday. Catering by Lady Rose's - they delivered our aft teas. Delicious sandwiches, cakes, scones and a scrumptious Victoria sponge for the birthday cake.

Been here twice with family. A real hidden gem. Shame its not bigger with more tables. Food is lovely and is made by one of the owners (husband) and the other owner gives friendly polite service (wife). We can't wait to go back with the family but will reserve a table just to be sure. Had a lovely cream tea here for my birthday! A real treat, and definitely a tasty one too! The service was a delight, and the portions weren’t small either - definitely get your money’s worth, we were there nearly 2/3 hours!

Because of the lockdown the Edwardian Tea Room were offering takeaway. We ordered one and received, beautifully packaged, sandwiches and scones with frresh cream. We arranged our own tea and went and had a picnic. The food was very fresh and tasty. My husband had beef and cheese sandwiches and I had cream cheese.I had a lavender scone and my husband had a fresh one. Lashings of cream and raspberry jam.I would highly recommend this way of eating, particularly when the weather is so good.

We'd been given an afternoon tea , so off we pottered to Lady Roses , it's beautifully decorated in a historic drawing room style , nicely laid out tables and the couple who run it are friendly knowledgeable and helpful . We ordered and as we'd pre booked the table was reserved and the food nearly prepared . I cannot speak highly enough of the quality of the sandwiches and cakes . The sandwiches are fresh and tasty , the cakes are stunning , light as a feather , beautifully made and presented , the scones are light and nicely fruited , the tea is varied and plentiful , the coffee is excellent and carefully chosen so as not to overcome the tastes and textures of the food , fruity with depth and smoothness , I had some . Stop reading this , go there , relax your attitudes and loosen your eating trousers . You'll not be disappointed . We'll go on ...

My sister and I went to Lady Rose’s Edwardian Tea Room for afternoon tea. We had the ‘My Fair Lady’, which you need to book at least 24 hours in advance. What an amazing little place. You really do feel like you have been transported back in time!! The staff were dressed in period costumes and were amazingly friendly and polite. Everything, even down to the cotton embroidered napkins is as you would imagine it would have been back then. The afternoon tea itself was exquisite. Plenty of tea and coffee. Plenty of little sandwiches and savouries, all home made, followed by numerous little cakes/scones, all washed down with a glass of Prosecco. There was more food than the 2 of us could cope with but they wrapped up what was left and put them in little bags for us to take away. The room itself is very quaint with fascinating artefacts from the Edwardian era. There was no ‘rush’ to get us out the door, in fact we were told ‘take your time and enjoy’. We both had a thoroughly wonderful time and will definitely be going back.

I booked the My Fair Lady Luxury Afternoon Tea for my friends birthday. It has to be the best afternoon tea I have ever had and my friend expressed the same opinion. The sandwiches and home made savory pastries were delicious. Our next course of home made cakes and scones were the same class. We loved the authentic antiques and furnishings and the very friendly authentically dressed waiters and waitresses. The service was also top class. We will definitely return again and bring more friends. My friend has said the trip has been the highlight of her birthday.

A bit off the beaten track, this tea room looks and feels of the Edwardian period. The service is personal and attentive, the menu limited but everything is executed well. I opted for the welsh rabbit, which came on 2 rounds of chunky granary bread. It could have done with being hotter, but it was tasty and worth the £5.25 price tag. The accompanying old fashion lemonade was nice and tangy.Go here for a treat, they'll give you their undivided attention.

We all enjoyed our afternoon with a reading of A Christmas Carol and a seasonal afternoon tea.lovely choice of sandwiches and the cakes were wonderful(especially the scones). Made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived up until we left. Would recommend the themed avents to anyone and We are going to their Titanic afternoon tea in April.... Lovely.

Wonderfully set up window from the outside. Enter and be met by authentically dressed waiters. Be seated in comfy chairs with table cloths etc. on the table. Soothing background music (perhaps not Edwardian but who cares). Look around at all the artifacts. Tea/coffee sandwiches etc. are not over the top. They have themed afternoons, the one we went to was 'Watson & Holmes' a reading. Great chance to dress up if you want. NOT FOR CHILDREN.

Took a while to be served but the setting is exquisite as is the silver service, the tea sets and the very original blends of tea and the cakes too.

We live local so have visited Lady Rose's many times and always had a fantastic time. You must book ahead on a Saturday, but a phone call is all that is required! On this occasion I booked the champagne afternoon tea - which was great value, especially compared to similar products elsewhere. We will definitely be back and am looking forward to it already! Great authentic service in wonderful surroundings with, most importantly, excellent food.

Didn’t book on a Saturday but were very lucky to be accommodated. The owner was lovely and made us feel like royalty. Everything was just right and relaxed. Next time we will be checking out their special evenings, we had to miss the Sherlock Holmes one, and if it’s a Saturday will call to book a table.

I didn’t want to give one star but I feel you need to move with the times a bit. Wanting to purchase an afternoon tea for my mother in laws 85 birthday with guests and can only do it in person! I don’t live near her, I had looked online and saw this beautiful place unfortunately after ringing and a very short conversation it won’t be happening. Shame.....

I can't speak highly enough of the WONDERFUL VEGAN AFTERNOON TEA that I enjoyed with a friend today as part of my birthday celebration. The lady and gentleman that make all the wonderful cakes and treats to such a high standard. My friend and I were ther from 12.15pm through til after 3pm never rushed. Endless amounts of fresh coffee for me and tea for her. A superb afternoon. THANKYOU so much. Sue

Highly recommend this fab experience. You really feel your stepping back in time. Mr and Mrs Gearing, are the butler and maid to Lady Roses Tea room, and they do a fine job of making you feel cosie and welcome. From the decor, to delicious cakes and lovely food, you will not have had an experience like it. It's very unique and I have taken all my friends and family members to see the place and endulge in a clotted cream scone with jam and a cup of tea. Allsorts to eat too. It is very nicely priced, not like chain places these days, so you feel you have really got value for your money. It simply is worth going and feeling like you've gone back to that era. I guarantee you'll be going back again and again. The music is lovely in the background, really sets the scene and I cannot emphasise how beautifully polished the tea pots are too lovely place!!

Well I have been searching for a lovely tea room for Afternoon tea. This is by far the best one I have been to.

After Graduation Celebration- we dined after my daughter’s graduation and it was the perfect end to the day.

Found this little gem quite by chance. Very warm welcome and Mrs Gearing helped us make our selection by recommending the afternoon tea tray ( think that is what it was called). We had sandwich to share, a scone with jam and cream and a piece of cake all of which was gorgeous. Coming from Cornwall I would normally say you can’t beat a Cornish cream team but the scones were something else! It was lovely having tea in china cups and all matching and the decor was just lovely. Mr and Mrs Gearing dressed in period costume just added to the experience and made a point of engaging with all their customers. Next time in Lincoln we shall certainly take the time to visit again

Unbelievable to think what two people with tremendous passion and dedication can create to give their customers that ‘Downton Abbey’ tea experience. I went there for my birthday and, worried that ambience would triumph over food, was not disappointed as ambience and food combined to give us a truly memorable birthday tea. Well done!

So good that we are booking a hotel stay this month just to visit for another cream tea

A unique and interesting experience! Mr and Mrs Gearing are a charming couple who always have time for a word with each customer. The food is excellent and there is always plenty of it for a very reasonable price. The smoked salmon and scrambled eggs is my favourite!

We had a delicious Vegan Cream tea here and absolutely loved everything...I've not had scones and cream for a while as being vegan the options are limited in other places. We had everything we could want and not feel like we were missing out at all! We had to order book beforehand, but this wasn't a problem at all. Love the service and unique atmosphere at Lady Rose's. My favourite tea house for sure.

Took some friends for afternoon tea & had a lovely 2 hours eating scrumptious Christmas scones, tasty dainty sandwiches and fabulous cake & shortbread all eased down with endless pots of tea. The surroundings & service are like stepping back in time,Mrs Gearing looked after us like we were royalty and it was lovely to have a chat about the tea room & how it came to be.

Had a fabulous treat this afternoon. Delicious savoury platter followed by a fantastic selection of homemade sweet treats - scones, Prosecco sponge, shortbreads, mini pavlova etc. Would highly recommend. Lovely atmosphere - and a poetry reading as well.

I visited on a busy Saturday afternoon recently with my wife and daughter. Fortunately we had pre booked our afternoon teas (one a Gentleman's). Although all the tables were occupied, they don't have many, the service was as efficient and dignified as ever and no sign of us being hurried along. I was particularly impressed with the time and care that the young lady took cleaning and resetting the tables. They say afternoon tea is supposed to just keep you going until dinner but I couldn't eat another thing all day. We know of a "Mr" that can make exceedingly good cakes but Mr Gearing's are, as was said in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, "truely scrumptious".

Having liased with this amazing teashop on several occasions I decided I would have to book in an afternoon tea for myself, my grandmother and my cousin and we were not disappointed! We had the My Fair Lady Cream Tea and I can honestly say that it is the best cream tea any of us have ever had! The service was impeccable, the food exquisite and it was one of the nicest afternoons we have spent together. The ambience and relaxed environment was exactly what we needed and it has definitely started a tradition for us that we will carry on, despite what it does to our waistlines!

Had a lovely, relaxing time here. I would recommend the Bailey's hot chocolate and sticky ginger cake.

We have been to this tea room on a few occasions. Each time we go it is always more pleasant than the last. The staff are extremely friendly and overly attentive! The food is never anything but perfect, there is attention to detail and it never fails to impress. The only problem we have ever had is that we come out of Lady Rose’s too full, due to having eyes bigger than our tummies and eating way to much cake (as we are talking a bigger than average sized portion of cake). The cakes and scones are all delicious and by far the best I’ve tasted. I can honestly not recommend this place enough. It’s a perfect classy and highly decadent in every way! The last note is if you go definitely recommend the Victoria sponge cake - heavenly!!

Decided to treat ourselves to a grandma, mother, daughter tea treat and we were not disappointed. The sandwiches were beautifully presented and the quality equally matched it. We then decided to have two slices of cake to share between the three of us. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and welcoming. Delicious food, superb menu, and all served in a beautiful Edwardian tearoom, surrounded by wonderful artifacts from the Victorian and Edwardian eras. The Service was excellent, and the atmosphere very welcoming. If you are visiting Lincoln and you love homecooked fresh food, delicious cakes and cream teas then I could'nt recommend this enough. A lovely experience, great for lunch, high teas or a special occasion. I will definitely be visiting again. Five plus stars, and many thanks to the owners for such a lovely time.

Had the pleasure of cream tea today and it was fabulous. You don’t just get yummy cake, you get the whole Edwardian experience like being zipped back 100 years. From the crockery, the decor, the silver ware and the staff/owners dressed from head to toe as they would of in that era. The added bonus was the way they address us as Sir and Lady and entertained us at the table with Edwardian poetry. Would love to come back when we are next in the area! What a great idea and the scones were incredible. We will be back again guys, Thank you.

A friend booked this for afternoon tea for a 70th birthday for about 20 people. It had a lovely atmosphere, the food was all excellent, two of us had gluten free afternoon tea. The staff were attractive and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble.

Come to visit Lincoln for a long week end, and ended visiting this establishment twice! Absolutely amazing scones, while my partner kept raving about the cakes! Mr & Mrs Geary were the most fantastic hosts, the decor, atmosphere, food, drinks & service were all spot on! Loved it, we will definitely be back on our next visit to Lincoln.

Teas, coffees and cakes are all first rate at this quirky, Edwardian style tea room. Staff are friendly and helpful and dress in period costume. The cakes are home made and delicious. No children under 8.

Just had a great experience indulging in a very civilised Edwardian parlour with Elgar and other appropriate music playing in the background. They've re-created the splendour of a bygone era with nice table settings, china cups and beautifully pouring teapots. The menu was very interesting and the home baked cakes to die for. It is opposite the Central Library (which is not exactly on the main thoroughfare) and is well worth searching out.

We were a mixed group celebrating a birthday. We enjoyed a rather generous selection of afternoon teas including 2 "half a sixpences" for 2 teenagers! Everything from the sandwiches to the drinks was delicious! There was more than enough cake to take home 2 takeaway bags !! Mr and Mrs Gearing, well, you are excellent! The humour, the poetry readings, and the characters you play....I will be smiling for weeks! Thank you. Finding afternoon tea in Lincoln is easy, finding one where the establishment is full of character and charm, well you tick that box!

Oh wow what a find. Choice of afternoon tea selections - we went for Gentlemen and had savoury - plum bread and Lincolnshire cobbler. Chose scones over cake - just huge but so light with generous amounts of creams and jam. Traditional setting, owners are wonderful and help with the traditional theme. Highly recommend.

A fantastic afternoon tea served by Mr &Mrs; Gearing. A selection of sandwiches , lovely scones and delicious cakes.My friend who needs dairy free was catered for with a savoury selection. All in all a delightful experience in beautiful surroundings.

Decided to visit here on the day, rang and booked a table for two o’clock, despite being extremely busy (the Downton film was on at the cinema causing a rush) our table was ready, service was extremely attentive but relaxed, just right.

Enjoyed a lazy afternoon with my Mum this afternoon at Lady Roses for her Birthday. We had sandwiches and a really amazing ginger cake with cream. A great choice of food and cake - what a special place !! Will be back am sure !! Thank you !

Myself and my girlfriend absolutely loved our visit to Lady Rose’s Edwardian Tea Room. We had the My Fair Lady afternoon tea and it was amazing, especially the scones and Prosecco cake! It is really great value too, £19.50 each for a full afternoon tea with Prosecco. We spent two hours enjoying ourselves and were never rushed, and were offered more tea throughout our visit. Every detail has been thought of in the tea room and you truly feel like you have stepped back in time. I thoroughly recommend a visit and will be doing so myself the next time I visit Lincoln.

Visited today for afternoon tea with a friend for her birthday treat, 2 different teas ordered, I ordered the truly scrumptious tea and my friend had the gentlemans afternoon tea, we were spoilt by the owners and the atmosphere was relaxing, we will both be returning soon for a different tea.

Lovely tea and cake. Friendly helpful staff. My children enjoyed being taught about some of the historic items in the display cabinets. Can recommend.

Booked as a treat for me, my mum and my 14 year old son. Pre booked the My Fair Lady Afternoon Tea. Lovely sandwiches and freshly main pastries (still warm) and plenty of home made sweet treats (had to take most of them home). Very relaxing atmosphere and felt thoroughly spoiled by the owners. A glass of prosecco and unlimited tea or coffee. Good value at. £19.50 per head. If not booking a preset afternoon tea there is plenty on the menu to choose from. Would highly recommend.

Brilliant, as usual, never disappointed staff heat atmosphere is lovely, food is delicious, took some friends for the first time, and they loved it.

What a delight. I felt as if I had stepped into an Edwardian sitting room. The afternoon tea was very tasty and Mr. & Mrs. Gearing were both charming and nothing was too much trouble. Excellent. My eight year old granddaughter enjoyed it immensely. Thankyou.

Just had yet another delicious afternoon tea ...lovely ambiance..great service..my 91yr old mother in law was impressed and remarked it was the best she had ever had ...we look forward to visiting again ..many mr and mrs Gearing 🥂

We have visited a number of times and always thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Today we had the Olde English Afternoon Tea which was glorious. The Sherry trifle was top notch with a decent kick, and the scones gravity defying.

Bought a Gentleman's afternoon tea for my husband for his birthday and I had an Olde English afternoon tea. I was disappointed not to be able to order a My Fair Lady cream tea for myself when booking but this can only be ordered for 2 people. Not really sure why.

As time has gone on this restaurant has gone from strength to strength. Today we went in for lunch. My husband had the smoked salmon and egg with granary bread. He said ti was delicious. Now it is summer home made ice cream is on the menu. We had some vanilla ice cream and ginger cake. Oh boy was it delicious.

This is a delightful tea room serving delicious food and we had a lovely afternoon. The scones were as high as skyscrapers, the Victoria sponge light as air and the vegan afternoon tea was imaginative and delicious. We will definitely be back!

We visited Lady Rose Tea Rooms whilst on holiday and we definitely made the right choice. Not only was the tea absolutely wonderful and scones to die for but Mr & Mrs Gearing couldn't do enough to make our afternoon a wonderful experience. The decor was so fitting and we were most definitely transported back in time. Please note everybody there are many notices explaining their policy in regard to children.
